The next morning, Vani woke up simultaneously around 7:30am and Veer suggested to prepare their breakfast together to which Bani agreed and they quickly freshened up before going to the kitchen.
Veer : What do you prefer for breakfast, Mi amor? (He asked cheerfully)
Bani : Anything.
Veer : Anything? Come on yaar say what you want.
Bani : Just do whatever you prefer, Veer. (She huffed irritatedly)
Veer : Okay.
He grinned widely, pulling her by her waist and she landed on his chest. Bani's eyes widened and she gaped at him.
Bani : Veer! What are you doing?
Veer : You asked me to do whatever I prefer so I prefer this, wifey. (He said in his sexy husky tone and kissed on the corner of her lips)
Bani : Stop it, Veer! Move away. (She pressed on his chest to push him away)
Veer : Cannot. You gave me the permission to do whatever I prefer so now you can't stop me.
Bani : No, I didn't mean this. I meant about the breakfa— (She was cut by him)
Veer : Shhh, don't speak or else I will kiss you on your lips.
Bani quickly pursued her lips inwards to prevent him from kissing her. Veer shook his head and chuckled at her cuteness.
Veer : Do you think you can stop me from kissing you if you hide your lips? (He asked, cupping her face)
Bani glared at him while still trying to push him away.
Veer : Come on, open your lips now. (He pressed her cheeks to part her lips but she didn't budge) Ufff, you are so stubborn. But I have my ways you know. (He smirked and Bani stared at him questioningly)
He looked around like searching for something and Bani too followed his gaze to see what he was looking for. He looked at her from the corner of his eyes and again acted like searching for something.
Veer : Where did I keep it? (He tapped on his chin)
Bani : What is tha— (She was about to ask but he used this opportunity to smash his lips to hers)
Bani gasped and hit on his chest for fooling her. He smirked and deepened the kiss by pressing his body against her firmly. He nibbled on her lower lip while waiting for her to respond to the kiss but she remained to be frozen at her spot. He parted away and looked at her to see her glaring at him angrily.
Veer's mind voice : Shit! Wrong move man!
He smiled at her nervously and slowly moved away from her.
Veer : Bani? Hmm I'm sorry. (He apologised but she didn't stop glaring at him) Baby, say something. (He muttered slowly)
Bani just walked away from there and slammed the bedroom door shut behind her. Veer hit his own head and cursed himself for making the wrong move.

After some time, he prepared her favourite South Indian dish called idli sambar with Youtube's help and beetroot smoothie for their breakfast. He arranged them on a tray and took it into the bedroom. He heaved a sigh of relief when she didn't lock the door.
Veer's mind voice : Ufff, thank God she didn't lock the door. It means she is not furious at me or else she would've locked the door by now.
He entered in to see her sitting on the bed with a magazine in her hand.
Veer : Wow gharwali wow! For the first time in my life I'm seeing you with a magazine instead of a phone.
Bani just glared at him and lowered her head to focus on the magazine again.
Veer : Baby, say something yaar. Are you angry with me?
Bani : Yes.
Veer : Why? Is it for kissing your juicy lips just now? (He licked his lips playfully making Bani to glare at him more)
Bani : Why aren't you going to the office today? (She asked exasperatedly)
Veer : Why do you expect me to go to the office today? (He raised his eyebrow)
Bani : Because I want you to leave me alone and let me get some peace of mind for a few hours!
Veer : I can't baby. It's not possible. (He said sadly)
Bani : Why? Stop being so irresponsible, Veer. Learn to behave like a CEO. Go to the office now!
Veer : I can't.
Bani : Why the hell you can't? You promised me that you won't disturb me much during office hours but now you are just eating my brain.
Veer : Ufffoo! Listen to me firs— (Bani interrupted)
Bani : I'm not going to listen to you. You better leave to office now.
Veer : Oye chup! (He placed his finger on her lips) Ufff, will you keep quiet for a while and let me speak first?
Bani nodded like an obedient kid.
Veer : It's weekend so I don't have to go to the office today. I know you can't get peace in my presence but I'm sorry wifey, you have to bear me for today and tomorrow. Now be a good girl and have your breakfast first then you can do whatever you want. I'm not going to disturb you, okay. (Saying this, he smiled and left the room to let her be alone as she wished for)
Bani felt guilty for hurting him but she couldn't help it as he was irritating her all the time. She quietly had her breakfast and went out to search for him. She found him watching tv in the living room and walked to sit beside him.

Veer noticed her sitting beside him but he stopped himself from turning to her as he didn't want to annoy her more.
Bani : Hmm Veer? (She called nervously)
Veer : Yes, Cara Mia? (He turned towards her with a grin)
Bani : Can I say something?
Veer : Sure.
Bani : Hmm can we live separately for a month maybe? (She asked in a tone of hesitation)
Veer : Yes sure, Bani. Why only a month? Let's stay here from now onwards. We don't have to stay with our parents anymore. (He smiled widely)
Bani : Not that, Veer.
Veer : Then what?
Bani : Let's live separately from each other for a month. You stay at your parents' house and I will stay with my parents.
Veer gulped and looked at her shockingly.
Veer : What are you saying? (He asked with wide eyes)
Bani : You heard that. Let's live apart for some time. You can live your life and I will live my life. Just for a month only.
Veer : Why? Are you planning to leave me? Why do we have to live apart for some time? We promised each other to stick together always, Bani. I can't stay away from you anymore please. I really can't do it. (He shook his head vigorously)
Bani : Veer, listen to me. (She shifted closer to him and cupped his face)
Veer : Ba—
Bani : Shhh. (She stopped him by placing her finger on his lips like he did earlier)

Bani : Veer, listen to me first. I think this temporary separation is really required for us considering our circumstances now. We have been sticking together since 23 years so...
Veer : But— (He started but Bani cut him)
Bani : Wait! Okay, I know we lived separately before we were married but still we used to meet everyday and after our marriage also we didn't even stay without each other for more than 2 days. Hence, I really think this temporary separation is needed at this moment because only then we will be able to get back to our old lives.
Veer : No baby please don't do this to me. I really can't survive without you. (Saying this, he pulled her into a tight hug like not letting her to go away from him)
Bani : Veer, I'm not asking forever. Just for a month only. Let's stay away from each other for a month. I really need this break from our relationship to forget everything and get back to my old self. Please try to understand it, Veer. Sometimes it's necessary to stay away from our loved ones for a good period of time because it will help us to strengthen our relationship and enhance the quality of our married life. (She said while caressing his hair without breaking the hug)
Veer : But can we still meet each other during that period of time? (He asked in a childish manner)
Bani : No! Separation means it must be a real separation. No meetings, no phone calls and no texts. Anyway, I don't have a phone with me so there won't be any chances for phone calls or texts. We shall behave like we are complete strangers. Even if there is any family get together or meetings, we should avoid it sensibly.
Veer : No Bani, I can't do this. I won't agree to your conditions. I can't please.
Bani : Veeranshu... (She sighed and broke the hug) Please just do this for me. I won't ask anything from you after this. I really need to stay alone for some time and we really need this break from each other. You can't understand what I'm going through now, Veer. I killed a person. Whenever I look at you, it's reminding me of those 2 months where you ignored me completely when I fell into his trap. You didn't give me a single chance to share it with you. You didn't even notice the changes in me when he was bothering me the whole time. You can't even imagine how much I went through at that time, Veer. Veer stared into her eyes for a few seconds and averted his gaze.
Veer : I will think and let you know. (He said in an impassive tone and walked away from there)
Bani sighed and walked to the balcony to sit on her favourite swing.

After an hour, Veer came towards Bani and stood in front of her with a grumpy face. Bani looked at him with a raised eyebrow while trying to suppress her smile looking at his cute grumpy face.
Veer : I think okay but on one condition. (He muttered in low voice while staring at his feet)
Bani : Veer? What did you say?
Veer : I concur. Let's live separately for a month.
Bani : Are you sure? See, you don't have to force yourse— (She was cut by him)
Veer : Don't ask me again. It's better we part ways before I change my mind.
Bani : Okay then. Let's leave this house today. No meetings, phone calls or texts. We shall not find for any excuse to meet each other in this one whole month. Is that clear? (She asked in her bossy tone)
Veer : Wait I'm not done yet. I said I will agree with you on one condition. (He smirked at her mischievously)
Bani : And what is that? (She frowned)
Veer pulled Bani to get up from the swing and pushed her aside. Bani looked at him questioningly when he sat on the swing with a smug attitude.
Bani : What ar... ouch! (She gasped when he pulled her to sit on his lap) What the hell, Veer? (She tried to get up but he tightened his grip around her delicate body)
Veer : Shhh don't move.
Bani : What are you doing now? Leave me!
Veer : Shhh, keep quiet and listen to my condition first.
Bani : Fine! Go ahead. (She gave up wriggling and settled on his lap)
Veer : As you said we can part ways today itself but before that you have to do something for me.
Bani : What is that?
Veer nuzzled into her neck while inhaling her body fragrance.
Veer : You are smelling like jasmine. Did you change your shower gel recently?
Bani : Shut up and tell me about your condition first. (She elbowed him)
Veer : Okay. I would like to make out with you before we part ways today. (He completed with a small bite on her neck)
Bani : Veeranshu!! (She pushed his arms away and got up from his lap while glaring at him)
Veer : Yes, wifey? (He gave her a loopy grin)
Bani : What the hell do you think of yourself? I'm asking for a break between us but you are coming up with such a foolish condition!!
Veer : What foolish condition baby? I guess you heard it wrongly. I'm just asking you to make out with me, not make love. Though I really don't mind if you choose the latter but you know it's nearly impossible for me to let you go if we make love so it's better if we comply with the first option. What say? (He chuckled at her when she gaped at him without even blinking her eyes) Oye Mrs Bani Veeranshu Singhania? Come back to earth, madam. Please stop visualizing our previous lovemaking sessions. I'm feeling shy.
Bani : Ewww Veer!!! (Bani gave him a disgusting look) Shut up! I'm not going to accept your condition. (She said and immediately walked away from there)

Veer chuckled at her and ran behind her.
Veer : Then I'm not going to agree with your idea too. (He stated and Bani stopped in her tracks)
Bani : But you agreed just now. Stop behaving like an adamant kid, Veer.
Veer : Nahh. I said I will agree on one condition so you must accept my condition first then only we can part ways for a month as you said.
Bani : This is not fair, Veeranshu! (She complained)
Veer : What not fair? You asked me to stay away from you for one whole month so I'm just asking you to compensate the whole month with just one makeout session. (He pouted)
Bani : This is such a fatuous negotiation I have ever heard!
Veer : But it's hot right? (He winked at her)
Bani : Shut up!
Veer : Listen, you don't have any other option baby. You have to accept my condition if you want me to agree with your 'parting ways for a month' idea.
Bani : Arghhh!!! Why are you doing this to me? (She whined frustratedly)
Veer : Ufff, come on yaar stop acting like this is the first time we are going to make out. In fact, we have done more than it so stop being too shy about it. (He grinned at her)
Bani : I'm not being shy! Arghh!! Why don't you understand my feelings?
Veer : Why don't YOU understand my feelings? You asked me to stay away from you for one whole month with those extra conditions of 'no meetings, phone calls or texts' and I'm not even complaining about it but I just asked you to make out with me and you are whining like a child here!
Bani : Okay, fine! Just give me some time to think about it.
Veer : You don't have another option, Mi Lady. Make out or stay together? The choice is yours. (He said and walked away to the room)
Bani stood there while passing death glares at his direction to which he chuckled at her to annoy her more. He left her with no option so she decided to accept his condition and stay away from him for some time.

She went and sat beside him while fidgeting her fingers nervously. Veer noticed her nervousness from the corner of his eyes and smirked inwardly. Bani cleared her throat and turned to him.
Bani : Okay. (She whispered)
Veer : What? I can't hear you.
Bani : I said okay.
Veer : Okay for what? (He was trying hard to hide his smirk)
Bani : Okay for your condition.
Veer : Huh? Louder. I can't hear you.
Bani : Veeranshu! I said okay for your stupid condition! (She shouted at him and he shut his ears with his palms)
Veer : Ufff, are you planning to burst my eardrums?
Bani : What do you want me to do when you are already losing your hearing sense! (She sighed irritatedly)
Veer : Okay relax, baby. (He paused and continued) Oh actually you were saying something right? What was that again?
Bani : Veer!!! Please stop irritating me like this.
Veer : Okay fine. (He pouted and turned away)
Bani kept staring at his face to let him turn to her and start with the make out session he asked for but Veer being Veer, purposely waited for her to take the first step when he clearly knew that she was too timid to initiate it.
Bani : Ermm... Veer?
Veer hummed, still not turning towards her.
Bani : I... I want to go back home soon.
Veer : Okay? (He turned to her expectantly)
Bani : So... ermm you... hmmm. (She hesitated)
Veer : So I?
Bani : You asked for something.
Veer : What is that something? (He asked innocently)
Bani : Arghh! Stop teasing me, Veer! (She hit on his chest)
Veer : Ouch! What? I'm not teasing you. I really don't understand what you mean. (He managed to maintain his innocent puppy eyes)

Bani closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm herself as he was really testing her patience beyond her self-control whereas Veer was trying his best to keep his hands away from pinching her cute cheeks which were red in embarrassment.
Bani : Listen! You asked me to make out with you before we part ways right so just do it right now. I really want to go back home as soon as possible. (She muttered the last part under her breath)
Veer : Oh you were talking about that, huh? Okay I got it. But I'm not in the mood now so let's postpone it for later.
Bani : What???? (She asked with big eyes)
Veer : I don't have the mood to do it now, baby.
Bani : Why?
Veer : What do you mean by why? (He raised his eyebrow playfully)
Bani : Arghhh! Just get lost!
She scowled and got up from there angrily but Veer pulled her back to which she landed on his lap.
Veer : Ufff, calm down my angry bird. (He chuckled and adjusted her comfortably on his lap before pressing his lips on hers)

Veer's eyes popped out and his right palm immediately went to hold his chest to prevent his heart from tearing apart.
Veer's mind voice : Date? Impress him? Did he mean that my wife went for a date with a guy last night?
Sid : What??? He kissed you? (He shouted excitedly)
Veer : Nooooo!!!!!!!!! (He screamed on top of his lungs, startling Sid and Sid's phone slipped away from his hand as a reflex)
