Continuation of previous part:
After Vani reached their apartment, Veer asked Bani to go first and he went back to the car to bring the mangoes he brought secretly with the help of their office security guard. Bani was waiting for him at the main door and when the elevator opened, she saw him holding a plastic bag with him. It did not take much time for her to realize what's inside that bag. She forgot her pain in the excitement and ran towards him to snatch the mangoes from him.
Bani : Awww Veeru your brought the mangoes!!!! (She squealed in excitement)
Veer : Wait, let's go inside first. If any of our neighbours see your face then they will think I'm hitting you everyday.
She pouted and followed him into their home. She immediately snatched the bag from him and took a mango near her mouth but Veer stopped her.
Bani : What?
Veer : I think you should use your common sense sometimes, sweetheart. First you have to wash your hands then wash these mangoes before you eat.
Bani : Oops sorry I forgot. (She quickly ran into the kitchen to wash her hands)
Veer shook his head in disbelief and went to freshen up himself while Bani came back and started attacking the mango.

In the midnight, Veer's sleep got disturbed when he heard his sweetheart who was groaning in pain. He switched on the night light and placed his palm on Bani's forehead. She was burning up with fever and was shivering more. He quickly turned off the air-conditioner and woke her up.
Veer : Bani?
She hummed while shivering.
Veer : You are burning up. Come, let's go to the doctor.
She shook her head in no.
Veer : Please get up baby. We need to visit the doctor. Seems like you are having high fever.
Bani : No. My body is aching badly. I can't move.
Veer : Okay wait, I will call the doctor here. (He dialled the doctor's number and the doctor told him that he will be there in 15 minutes)
Veer placed a wet cloth on her forehead in the meantime and the doctor arrived as he said. The doctor gave an injection to her and told them that her fever will reduce by morning. Veer sent off the doctor and replaced the wet cloth again on her forehead. The whole night he sat beside her and hugged her tightly to give her his warmth as she was shivering with coldness.

Bani woke up in the morning at 8 and saw him sleeping in an uncomfortable position. Her temperature reduced by that time and she slowly tried to come out of his embrace without disturbing him but he instantly woke up when he felt her movement.
Veer : Sweetheart, are you feeling better now? (He checked her temperature on her forehead)
Bani : Much better. Thanks Veer. (She smiled at him)
Veer : I don't need your thanks. If you really want to thank me then there are other ways to thank me. (He said with a naughty smirk)
Bani : What? I don't get you. How to say thanks in other ways? (She asked, trying to act innocently)
Veer : Come, I will show you.
Saying this, he tried to pull her closer but then stopped when something struck him.
Veer : I'm sorry. You are sick and I'm making you to strain yourself.
Bani : I'm alright now. See, my temperature also reduced.
Veer : So you are asking me to proceed further? (He smirked and Bani lowered her head in embarrassment)
Bani : I'm going.
Veer : Wait. (He pulled her by her wrist and she collided with his chest)
He pressed a long kiss on her forehead where she got injured the previous day. She hissed in pain when she felt pressure at that place. He quickly pulled away and frowned.
Veer : Is it still paining?
Bani : A little bit.
Veer : I'm sorry. You go and freshen up first while I will prepare breakfast for you. You have to take the medicines doctor gave last night.
Bani : Veer, we are not going to the office?
Veer : No, sweetheart. I will inform dad about this. You go and freshen up first. I need to talk to you about something important.
Bani : What is that? (She raised her eyebrow)
Veer : You go first, sweetheart.
Bani : Hmm okay.
Bani left to freshen up while Veer went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her.

Post their breakfast, they sat together in the hall as Veer insisted to discuss something important with her.
Bani : Did you inform dad already? I think you should have gone to the office, Veer. I can take care of myself as I'm feeling much better now.
Veer : No baby girl, I know you better than you do. You are like a small baby and you can't take care of yourself. You need me beside you when you are sick. (He chuckled, pinching her nose and Bani winced in pain)
Bani : Ouch! Don't!
Veer : Hey I'm so sorry. I forgot.
Bani : What do you mean by you forgot? You forgot that I'm injured? You forgot that my nose bled yesterday? (She scowled)
Veer : No, I.. I mean..Okay leave it. We need to discuss something now.
Bani : Go ahead.
Veer : I think we should postpone our plan. You are not feeling well now so I don't think it's a good idea to travel in this condition.
Bani : No, Veer. We don't have to postpone it. See, I'm completely alright now. Let's go na, Veeru. It's already too late for us to go for a honeymoon and I don't think we should postpone it anymore. (She sulked)
Veer : Are you sure? We can plan for some other time if you.... (Bani interrupted)
Bani : Shhh, not ifs and buts. We are going and it's final. (She announced in a final tone)
Veer : Okay madam. (He gestured as he gave in and both of them laughed)

Two days later on Friday, they departed to the airport at 12:30am as their flight was at 2:30am. It was a long journey as it took for them to reach the Hewanorra Airport, St Lucia after 21 hours of travel. They took a cab once they completed all the formalities at the airport and reached the famous Serenity at Coconut Bay hotel.

It was 2pm on Friday (time in St Lucia) when they checked in their hotel room. Bani became overexcited when they entered their room. It was a luxurious and spacious room with a private plunge pool and a small pool bar. The atmosphere gave romantic vibes and was suitable for a couple who planned their honeymoon there.

She started hopping around the room while exploring everything. Veer shook his head at her childish behaviour and settled on the bed after making a call to order their lunch.
Bani : Veeru, what's the time now?
Veer : It's 2:00pm.
Bani : Then what's the time at India now?
Veer : Check your watch, Miss Dumbo. (He winked)
Bani : Mr Dumbo, I'm not wearing a watch now.
Veer : Hey! Where is your watch?
Bani stared at him with wide eyes when the realization hit her.
Bani : Shit!!! Where is my watch? (She panicked and started searching around the room)
Veer smirked, watching her searching for her watch restlessly as he took her watch without her knowledge when she was sleeping in the flight.
Bani : Veer, I searched it everywhere. My watch is missing. I think maybe I lost it at the airport. Come let's go and search at the airport.
Veer : What? Are you crazy? You want us to go to the airport now just for the small watch? Leave it yaar. I will get a new watch for you. (He said casually, making her lose her cool)
Bani : Veeranshu! It's my lucky and favourite watch. My papa gifted it to me on my 24th birthday. I need to get it back! (She yelled)
Veer : So what can I do about it? It's your fault as you were the one who lost it due to your carelessness. (He laid down on the bed like nothing happened and Bani stared at him in disbelief)
Bani : Veer!!!! Why are you behaving like this? You are so heartless. I will go myself and search for it.
Saying this, she stomped her foot and hurriedly walked to the door after taking her purse but Veer was quick enough to stop her.

Veer : Where are you going? (He grabbed her arm)
Bani : Are you deaf? I told you I'm going to the airport.
Veer : But sweetheart, it's just a watch. Why are you getting so hyper just for this small matter?
Bani : It's not Just A Watch! It's my papa's gift for me! (She gritted her teeth)
Veer : Okay leave it. I will buy a new watch for you soon.
Bani : I don't need your favour. I'm going to search for it now. (She took a step forward but Veer scooped her in his arms and placed her on the bed)
Veer : You are not going anywhere.
Bani : What the hell? Why are you doing this to me, Veeranshu? Let me go! (She tried to move but he hovered over her and caged her between him and the bed)
Veer : Shhh, you are shouting too much today. Calm down, baby.
Bani : Arghh! Let me go you idiot!
Veer : Ouch, bad manners wifey. You have to respect your pati parameshwar you know. (He smirked, making her more angry)
Bani : Fuck off!
Veer : Don't worry, we are here for that. We can do it together. (He whispered huskily and kissed her ear)
Bani remained silent while Veer was busy kissing her neck and shoulder. Her silence was unusual to him so he pulled away and looked at her face. He noticed tears rolling down her eyes which made him realize that he went overboard with his stupid play.
Veer : Hey sweetheart, I'm so sorry. I was just playing with you. Please don't cry I didn't mean to hurt you. (He moved beside her and tried to wipe off her tears but she pushed his hand away)
Bani : Don't touch me! (She wiped her tears and got up from the bed)
Veer : Please forgive me, sweetheart. I was just trying to pull your legs. See here your watch is with me.
He took out her watch from his pocket and showed it to her. Bani immediately snatched it from him harshly.
Veer : I'm sorry gharwali. (He walked to her and took her into a hug)
Bani neither did protest nor reciprocate his hug. She was furious on him for playing with her emotions without realizing the seriousness. Veer broke the hug and cupped her face.
Veer : Will you forgive me? (He kissed on her eyes)
Bani : No.
Veer : Please baby. (He pleaded making a puppy face which melted away her anger)
Bani : No! (She turned away to ignore him)
Veer : I know you will forgive me now. (He said after glancing at the time)
Bani : I won't. Move away.
Veer : No. Not before this. (He hugged her again)

Bani frowned in confusion and suddenly she felt something around her neck. She tried to break the hug to check what was that but Veer embraced her tightly. He kissed her neck and whispered at her ear.
Veer : Happy First Anniversary to us, gharwali.
Bani : Huh? (She wondered as he just told her it was 2pm then how can he wish her before it's 12am)
Veer : Don't stress this pea sized brain of yours, sweetheart. It's 12am at India so technically it's time for us to celebrate our anniversary now. (He said, pecking her lips)
Bani stared at him for few seconds without blinking her eyes and lowered her eyes to check on her neck. She gasped when she saw a classic emerald necklace around her neck.

She caressed it and suddenly jumped, taking him into a tight hug.
Bani : Thank you so much, Veeru. This is so beautiful. Happy One Year to us. I love you a lot! (She exclaimed cheerfully)
Veer : I love you to the moon and back, wifey. (He broke the hug and cupped her face)
Bani : Don't touch me! (She pushed him away)
Veer looked at her in disbelief.
Veer's mind voice : What is she? A bipolar? One second she is hugging me and the next second she is pushing me away. Such a crazy woman.
Bani : Why did you make me cry just now?
Veer : I'm sorry baby, I thought to irritate you and then celebrate our anniversary but you made me to give up earlier as you started to cry. Such a cry baby. (He said, pulling her cheeks)
Bani : I'm not a cry baby. It's you who always make me cry. (She said playfully but her last sentence pierced his heart)
Veer : I'm sorry. I always promise myself to not hurt you again but I'm failing to fulfil that promise. (He lowered his head in guilt)
Bani : Hey, it's not true. Stop blaming yourself. No one, literally no one in this world has made me happy as much as you do. You are my happiness. You never failed to make me feel special, Veer. You knew that too. Don't ever use those words again. I can never be happy with another person as much as I am with you now. I'm feeling contented with your love, Veer. I love you. (She cupped his face and kissed his forehead)
Veer felt elated and happy with her confession. She never failed to surprise him with her unexpected confessions.
Bani : Oops, I forgot to give you the gift. (She rushed to her luggage and took out a box from it)
Veer : What is that? (He frowned)
Bani opened it and showed him an emerald ring. She slid it on his finger.

Veer : Wow it's amazing I didn't expect this from you. Thank you so much, gharwali. (He kissed on her cheek)
Bani : Did you notice something? We both gifted each other something with emerald. (She grinned)
Veer : Yes, you are right. Just like made for each other.
He smiled at her wholeheartedly and pressed his lips on hers. But their kiss did not last for long time as they heard a knock at the door. He groaned and broke the kiss while Bani chuckled at him.
Veer : Even here also they are not letting us to have a proper kiss. (He pouted)
Bani : Go and open the door, hubby. I guess it's our lunch. I'm feeling hungry already.
Veer : Okay.
He went to open the door and brought in their food. They had their lunch together and decided to take a short nap as Veer had planned a surprise for his sweetheart that night.

Veer smirked at her and went near her. Bani blinked her eyes to make her vision clear. He leaned forward and whispered at her ear.
Veer : Baby, strip! (He ordered and the next second a slap landed on his left cheek)
