Continuation of previous chapter :
Drunken Bani fell down pulling Veer along with her and their lips got touched for a few seconds. Both of them were lost in each other eyes due to their proximity and this time Veer saw something else in her eyes. Bani slowly shifted her gaze to his lips and then to his eyes and again to his lips while biting her lower lip. Veer noticed her gaze rolling to his eyes and lips which made him realise her intentions. For a second, he lost his senses in her gaze and both started getting closer to attach their lips and taadaaaaa!!! 😜
Veer's brain : What the hell are you doing with her, Veer? She is your best friend! How could you take advantage on her in this condition? Then what's the difference between you and that Dheeraj scoundrel? (His brain yelled)

Veer quickly pulled away from her and got up. His guiltiness left him with no guts to look at Bani's face. He stood there for few minutes while cursing himself in his mind when he realised there is no response from Bani after he got up from her. He looked down at her face and realised that Bani had fallen asleep there. He lifted Bani in his arms and took her to her room to place her on the bed. He left to his room immediately after pulling a duvet on her and switching off the lights to let her sleep peacefully. He was on the peak of guiltiness when he realised how he lost his control for a few seconds just now. He wasn't able to forgive himself for getting the thought of kissing his best friend for the first time in his life.
Veer's mind voice : What the hell did you just do with her, Veer?? Arghhhhh!!!!!! How can I do this to my best friend? How am I going to look at her face after this? How could I spoil our 20 years of pure friendship with my stupid hormonal rush? How did you lose your control, Veer? Ahhhhh!!!!!!!! (He screamed, pulling his hair in frustration)

At night 10 o'clock :
Veer came back to the mansion after staying out for whole 7 hours. He needed that 7  hours to forgive himself for what he did to Bani in the afternoon. He opened the main door and the next second his eyes widened looking at the person standing in front of him with bloodshot eyes. A whisper escaped from his lips which was heard by the person in front of him.
Veer : Bani?
Bani : Yes, of course. I'm Bani! (She said in stern voice)
Veer : Why are you standing at the door? (He asked, avoiding the eye contact)
Bani : Where the hell were you from the past 7 hours?
Veer : I just went out. (He answered, walking into the house)
Bani : What do you mean by you just went out? (She held his hand to stop him)
Veer : I had some work so I went out. Leave my hand. (He said, jerking off her hand)
Veer tried to ignore her and walk away but Bani held his collar and started shouting.
Bani : How could you just walk away, Veer? How could you do this to me? Am I looking like a heartless stone to you? (She yelled)
Veer's mind voice : I'm sorry, Bani. I know you remember what happened just now. I'm not able to look into your eyes. I'm sorry.
Bani : I'm talking to you idiot!!!! Why the fuck are you staring at the floor? Look at me!!!
Veer : Leave me, Bani. I'm sorry for everything.
Bani : Sorry?? Wow (She clapped dramatically) How could you just end this with a sorry?
Veer felt more guilty and tears started threatening him to come out of his eyes. He kept staring at the floor when Bani was shaking him to get his attention.
Bani : How dare you to leave me alone at home? How dare you left your phone at home? You know right I can't stay alone in this haunted mansion!!!! (She scolded making his eyes pop out of his socket)
Veer's mind voice : What is she talking about?
Bani : Will you answer me or keep staying dumb until I scream the hell out of my throat?
Veer : Bani? You are upset with me just because I left you alone at home? (He looked into her eyes in disbelief)
Bani : No, sir. I'm not upset. I'm very happy and joyful because of your stupid behaviour today. (She said sarcastically)
Veer : I'm sorry. I thought I would be back home earlier but I just didn't realise the time.
Bani : What did you say? You didn't realise the time? (She glared at him)
Veer : Okay baba I'm sorry!!! (He joined his hands)
Bani : What sorry?? Why the fuck you didn't bring your phone with you? Why do you need this phone then?
Veer : Bani, watch your language! (He said strictly)
The next second Bani threw away his phone which she was holding and it broke into pieces.
Veer : Hey!!!!! It's my phone!!! (He screamed, placing his hand on his forehead)
Bani : Yes, your phone. You don't need that anymore since you don't know how and when to use it. (She snapped back)
Veer : Are you mad? How could you throw my phone just like that? Last month only you broke my previous phone and now again.
Bani : This is your punishment for not bringing your phone with you, for not informing me before going out, for letting me stay alone in this haunted mansion and for staying away from me for the whole 7 hours.
Veer : Are you done or anything else left to say?
Bani : You know what? Just fuck off!!!! (She screamed)
Veer : This is the last warning, Bani! You will never ever use bad words at me. I swear next time you will get a slap from me if you use this kind of words again.
Bani : Oh really? Then just fuck o.... (A slap landed on her left cheek before she complete the sentence)
Veer : Is it enough or need one more? (He asked, raising his eyebrow)
Tears started rolling down her cheeks as she held her left cheek in pain. Veer quickly realised what he did and regretted. He tried to touch her but she pushed him away forcefully and ran away to her room.
Veer : Bani, I'm sorry!!!
He ran behind her but she slammed the room door on his face and Veer left to his room after giving up on banging her room door for 10 minutes.

At 3:15am in Veer's room :
Veer was in deep sleep when he felt a sharp pain on his face which made him to wake up with a jerk. He opened his eyes to see a foot beside his face. He raised his head a little to see Bani sleeping beside him by hugging his legs. Her head was near his legs while her legs was near his face. Veer tried to move but she hugged his legs tightly so he was able to move his upper body only.
Veer : Bani? Bani?? (He called, shaking his legs to wake her)
Bani : Don't disturb. (She mumbled in her sleep)
Veer : Oye, why are you sleeping here? Go back to your room.
Bani : Hmmm. (She pulled his legs more into her)
Veer : Pagal aurat! (He murmured under his breath and slept back)
After 10 minutes, Bani kicked him on his face again making him to wake up with a jerk for another time.
Veer : Ouch!!! Bani Sharma, stop kicking me! (He yelled)
Bani : Hmmm.
Veer's mind voice : I'm sure she's doing this deliberately to take revenge for the slap.
He pushed her leg quite far away from his face and put the pillows in between to avoid getting the third kick on his face.

Next morning, Bani woke up before Veer and went back to her room to freshen up herself before going to the college. She left to the college without informing him because usually they would go together but since she was angry on him for slapping her last night, she decided to avoid him for sometime until he go and apologise to her. Veer woke up at 7:30am and looked around but couldn't find Bani there. He thought she has gone to her room so he went to take his shower and get ready to go to college. He got ready within 15 minutes and went to Bani's room to call her but she was not there. He searched for her college bag and realised that it's not there too. He went downstairs to ask the security guard and the guard said that Bani left to college early in the morning itself. Veer also left to the college without wasting much time.

At college :
Bani sat in the cafeteria while waiting for the breakfast she ordered. She saw Divya and Nisha were approaching her and Bani waved her hand at them indicating she's there. They went near her and sat in front of her. Divya was behaving as usual but Nisha was behaving weird with Bani.
Bani : Nisha? Are you alright?
Divya : I think something is wrong, Bani. She is being upset since after our Holi celebrations that day.
Nisha : Bani, hmm I need to talk to you. (She asked hesitantly)
Divya : Okay, you both wait here. I'm going to buy something to eat. (She left)
Bani : Tell me, Nisha. (She went and sat beside Nisha)
Nisha : Bani, I'm so sorry for what my brother did that day. I'm really feeling ashamed to call him my brother. I'm extremely sorry for that, Bani. (She apologised with tears flowing down her cheeks)
Bani stared at her confusingly as she doesn't understand what Nisha was talking about so she decided to play along and get the truth from her.
Bani : Nisha, stop crying. Where is your brother now?
Nisha : Don't ask about him anymore, Bani. He is such a pervert. I have told my parents about him and my dad smacked him nicely before chasing him away from the house. I'm not sure where is he right now. Let it be. He deserved that. (She explained her angrily)
Bani's mind voice : What? Her parents chased him out of the house? What happened? Why did she call her own brother as pervert?
Nisha : Why are you being silent, Bani? I'm really sorry for what he did to you. If I had knew it earlier then I wouldn't even let him to get you into his hostel room. Thank God, Veer and I arrived there at the right moment before he forced himself on you.
Bani's eyes widened in shock. She immediately got up from her seat and stopped blinking her eyes. Nisha also got up from there and looked at Bani. She patted on Bani's shoulder and Bani looked at Nisha in disbelief.
Bani : What did you mean? Dheeraj tried to force himself on me? He got me into his hostel room?
Nisha : Bani? You don't remember what happened during the Holi celebration? Veer didn't tell you anything about it? Then why were you both absent yesterday?
Bani held Nisha's shoulders and asked.
Bani : Nisha, you answer me first. What happened on that day and what your brother tried to do with me?
Nisha explained her everything that happened during the Holi Celebration.
Bani : Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! (She screamed the hell out of her)
Since it was early in the morning, only few students were present at the cafeteria but still Bani's scream grabbed their attention including Divya who dropped the food she bought while rushing towards them.
Nisha : Bani, please calm down. Everyone is looking at you. (She patted her back)
Bani immediately jerked off her hand and ran away from there while leaving her bag and phone there. Veer, who just entered the campus saw the crying Bani running from the cafeteria and the both girls were running behind her.
Veer : Bani!!!!! (He shouted before running towards them)
Bani quickly ran into the girls' washroom and locked the door from inside. Divya and Nisha started knocking the door but Bani didn't open it. They could hear her sobs loudly. Veer also reached them.
Veer : Girls, what happened to her?
Nisha : V...Veer, I'm so sorry. I didn't know that... Bani doesn't remember about the incident so I just blurted out everything to her. (She explained while sobbing)
Veer : Dammit!!! Nisha, why did you do that? Arghh!!!
Divya : What incident? What are you both talking about?
Veer to Divya : Divya, we will explain about it later.
Veer to Bani : Bani, please open the door. Please!! We can sort it out. Please open the door. (He requested while knocking the door)
Nisha : Bani, please open the door.
Bani : All of you just get lost!!!!!! Leave me alone!!!! (She screamed from inside)
Bani sat down against the door and hugged her knees while sobbing.
Veer : Bani, you will listen to me right? Open the door, please? I just want to see you.
Bani : I don't want to see anyone. Get lost!!!
Veer : Bani, please listen to me once. Open the door for once baby. I just want to talk to you. Please let me explain you. (He said while knocking continuously)

Bani slowly got up from the floor and opened the door. Veer held her arm and quickly pulled her outside the washroom and hugged her tightly. She didn't reciprocate the hug but she was crying badly making his shirt wet as she placed her head on his shoulder.
Veer : Shhhh, don't cry sweetheart. I'm here with you. Stop crying now.
Bani : Veer, how...how dare he...that pervert touched me? (She asked in between her sobs)
Divya : What? Who?
Veer : Divya and Nisha, please go to the class first. I will come with her in a while.
Nisha : But... (Veer gestured them to leave first)
They nodded and left from there. Veer tried to break the hug but Bani reciprocated and hugged him more tightly. He patted on her back while consoling her.
Veer : Bani, please stop crying. This is why I hid it from you. You don't have cry like this since it was not your fault at all.
Bani : Veer, why did you hide it from me? You should have told me that day itself. Why did you lie to me? (She broke the hug and asked him)
Veer : I don't feel like saying it to you, Bani. It was just a nightmare and it was not an important topic to discuss.
Bani : What??? Not an important topic to discuss? Veer, a pervert spiked my drink and tried to rape me but you are saying that it was not an important topic to discuss? I can't believe this is you, Veer! (She said in disbelief)
Veer : Bani, no I didn't mean that. What I meant was.....(Bani cut him)
Bani : Enough!! You don't have to explain anything. You are also a boy right so that's why you took it so casually.
Veer : Bani! Stop talking to me in this way.
Bani : Why? Sometimes truth is bitter na? Someone tried to rape me and you are saying it casually that it was just a nightmare? Wow, Veer!! You are great! Now I understand there's no difference between you and that pervert!
Once she completed her sentence, a slap landed on her cheek from Veer. He grabbed her shoulders harshly and pulled her closer to him.

Veer : What did you say? There's no difference between me and that pervert? I have never thought you would be thinking about me in this way, Bani Sharma. Thank you so much for your compliment. And yeah you are right! There's no difference between me and your so called boyfriend, Dheeraj. But remember one thing, it was you who always go behind those boys and give them the chance to take advantage on you. I have told you many times that all the boys are not same but you have never listened to me. I don't think so Dheeraj took advantage on you without your permission. I'm sure you would have given him the hint to proceed furth..... (Bani slapped him before he could complete it)
Bani : Stop it, Veeranshu!!!! Don't you dare speak about me like this!! (She yelled while glaring at him with bloodshot eyes)
Veer : Truth is always bitter, Bani. Anyway, I'm not going to waste my time with you especially after I get to know of what you were thinking about me all these years. I'm truly grateful to you for this character assassination, Bani. Thanks a lot. (He smiled sarcastically and walked away from there)
Bani remained as a statue there for a moment before wiping off her tears and leaving to the classroom. Bani went inside the classroom to see Veer sitting beside his male friends and Bani went to sit beside Nisha. It was the very first time for them to sit separately in the classroom. Both of them ignored each other until their college time ended and Veer quickly left home without waiting for Bani. She also didn't bother about it and booked a cab to go back to her house, the Sharma mansion. She called her parents and asked them about their arrival. They informed her that they will be reaching Singhania mansion in 2 hours and Bani told them to pack her things from there and bring it to Sharma mansion as she's already there. They tried asking her the reason for going back home earlier but she covered it with lies.

After 2 hours, their parents arrived at the Singhania mansion and took rest for a while there before Aayush and Tanvi leave to their mansion. Veer also behaved like being normal to them as he doesn't want to let them know about their fight. Balwant and Chandrakala tried asking Veer about Bani but before he could answer, Tanvi told them that Bani informed them about going back to their house for some reasons. After some time, Aayush and Tanvi left to Sharma mansion and spent their rest of the day with Bani by telling the things happened Chhattisgarh and Bani also told them what she and Veer did at home in their absence except the Dheeraj's issue and Vani's misunderstanding. Even though Bani was sad and kept thinking about Veer but she managed to place a fake smile on her face to hide her pain from her parents.

At night, Bani called Veer to say apologise to him but he didn't pick up the first two calls and when she called for the third time, he switched off his phone. She got angry and threw away her phone on the bed and laid down hugging the pillow while crying. The next day, it was weekend and Vani didn't get the chance to meet. Sharmas and Singhanias planned to meet on Sunday for lunch but Veer refused by telling them that he had assignments to complete so his parents left him at the Singhania mansion and went to Sharma mansion. At the other side, Bani excused herself as she wanted to go to her friend's house to complete her project and left before Singhanias could arrive there. She did it to avoid herself from meeting Veer but little did she know that Veer also excused himself to avoid meeting her.
