Next morning at 9, Veer was sleeping on the bed with Bani in his arms. Balwant and Chandrakala excitedly barged into his room to surprise their son but in return they got surprised by VAni.

Balwant : Is that Bani? What is she doing here?
Chandrakala : Yeah. She is sleeping with Veer? When does she came here?
Balwant : I think we should let them get married as soon as possible. It seems like they aren't able to stay without each other. (He chuckled)
Chandrakala : You are right. We came here to surprise him but he gave us a big surprise now.
Balwant : It's okay just leave it. I'm sure they won't cross their limits.
Chandrakala : Yes, I'm sure about it too. I guess she came to wish his birthday and then slept off here.
Balwant : Yeah.
They both went near Veer and started waking him up.
Chandrakala : Veer? Beta, wake up. (She caressed his hair and Veer stirred in his sleep)
Balwant : Veer? Wake up, my boy.
Veer opened his eyes and saw his parents smiling at him. He forgot that Bani was sleeping on him there. He smiled back at them.
Chandrakala : Happy Birthday to you, beta. May God bless you with abundance of happiness and health. (She kissed on his forehead)
Veer : Thanks mom.
Balwant : Happy Birthday, my boy. Our blessings are always with you. (He bumped his fist with Veer)
Veer : Thank you, dad.
Veer tried to get up from bed only then he realised there was a weight on his body. He saw Bani was sleeping in his arms and immediately he looked at his parents with an awkward facial expression. His parents smiled at him.
Veer : Bani, wake up.
Bani : Hmm. (She hugged him more tightly)
Veer : Bani!! Wake up please. (He looked at his parents who were giggling at his condition)
Bani : Veer, let me sleep. We didn't sleep whole night.
Balwant and Chandrakala looked at him with wide eyes.
Veer : Mom, dad, it's not like what you both think. I mean she came to wish me last night and then.... (Balwant stopped him)
Balwant : Veer, you don't have to explain it. We know about our son. (He smiled gently and left the room)

Chandrakala pulled Veer's ear and sat beside him.
Veer : Ahhh mom. (He winced in pain and she left his ear)
Chandrakala : You don't have to say anything to us, Veer. We know about our children very well.
Veer : Thank you, mom. I love you so much.
Bani : I love you more, Veeru. (She mumbled in sleep as she thought he was telling it to her)
Veer : Shhh. Sleep quietly. (He patted her back)
Chandrakala : Veer??? (She gave him a teasing look)
Veer : Mom, I mean I said I love you to you not to her.
Chandrakala : It's okay, I knew it. And Veer, marry this devil as soon as possible. (She chuckled, caressing Bani's hair)
Veer : Why mom?
Chandrakala : Just look at the way she's holding onto you. I'm sure she can't stay away from you for long time. (She chuckled and Veer smiled looking at Bani)
Veer : Okay mom. We will think about that.
Chandrakala : Okay, Veer. Both of you come down once she wakes up. I'm going to prepare your favourite dish today. (She said and left his room)
Veer : Sweetheart, I'm very lucky to have such parents. There have so understanding nature and are sensible. (He said, hugging her more tightly and kissed on her hair)
Bani smiled in her sleep and Veer dozed off again as they came back home in the morning only.

Both of them woke up at 12 in the noon and freshened up themselves first before heading towards the dining table. Chandrakala served them Veer's favourite food which was obviously Bani's favourite too and they enjoyed having their lunch together with Balwant and Chandrakala. Veer explained them how Bani celebrated his birthday last night and they praised her for planning so much for Veer. Post lunch, they decided to visit Sharma mansion as they invited Veer to celebrate his birthday there. His parents decided to stay at home to prepare for his surprise so they refused to follow Veer and Bani.

In the car :
Bani : Veer, I want ice cream. Can you please stop at any ice cream parlour on the way?
Veer : Okay sweetheart.
Bani : I will turn on the radio first. (She turned on the radio and it was playing Dil Ibadat song)
Veer : Awww this is my favourite.
Bani : Correction. Our favourite, Veer.
Both of them started singing along with the tune. Veer placed his left hand on Bani's thigh when she encircled his arm and rested her head on his shoulder.
Bani : Veer!!!! I found it. Stop the car!! (She screamed excitedly)
Veer : Okay relax don't scream. (He parked the car at the corner of the road)
Bani : I will go and buy for us. What flavour you want?
Veer : Anything is fine. But can you cross the road? You stay here. I will go and buy it.
Bani : Come on, yaar. I'm not a kid. I will go and buy. You just stay inside the car.
Veer : Okay sweetheart. Be careful.

Bani crossed the road and reached the ice cream parlour which was on the opposite road simultaneously Veer received a call from his friend and he started talking with him. Bani brought the ice cream and stood at the corner of the road to cross it as there were too many vehicles passing that time. Once she realised she could cross the road, she started crossing but suddenly she stopped when her phone fell down on the middle of the road. She bent down to take the phone and when she got up, she saw a car coming on her way with high speed. Veer saw her through the window and quickly got down from the car to rush to her. She got panicked and stood still there not knowing what to do and the driver was trying to apply sudden brake but within a fraction of seconds she got hit by the car and Bani screamed out Veer's name loudly before falling back on the road. Veer, who was running towards her witnessed the horrible incident and screamed out her name loudly.

Bani was lying lifeless on the road in a pool of blood by the time Veer reached her. He kneeled down, took her in his arms and started calling out her name by tapping on her cheeks continuously.
Veer : Bani!!!! Bani, open your eyes please. Don't do this to me. Open your eyes. I can't live without you. Why did you cross the road? Open your eyes please, Bani!!!! Arghhh!! Bani, you can't leave me like this. Open your eyes dammit!!! (He cried out loudly while shaking her continuously)
Bani opened her eyes weakly and looked at him. She had tears in her eyes due to extreme pain and her head was bleeding heavily but still she managed to smile at him and held his hand tightly.
Veer : Sweetheart, I will not let anything happen to you. (He hugged her closer to his heart and cried)
Bani : Vee....Veer, I love...you. (She closed her eyes again)
Veer : No!!!! Bani, don't close your eyes again. Open them please.
He started shaking her but she didn't open her eyes. At the same time, an ambulance reached there and they quickly took out a stretcher and placed Bani on it. Bani held his hand tightly and he also followed her in the ambulance. The nurse was giving first aid treatment to her while Veer was continuously asking Bani to wake up. A lot of blood was flowing from her head.

Veer : Sweetheart, you promised me that you won't leave me. Why are you not opening your eyes now? Please look at me. Your Veer is in front of you, Bani. Please look at me. You can't do this to me. How dare you to do this to me? Bani!!!!!!!!!
The nurse also had tears in her eyes looking at the way Veer was begging his sweetheart to open her eyes. She was not sure whether Bani will survive or not but she prayed to God to let her survive only for the sake of Veer's love.
Nurse : Don't worry, sir. She will be alright soon. (She knew it was a lie but still she said it)
Veer : Bani, sweetheart, please open your eyes!! I won't let anything happen to you. Please open your eyes for me!!! (He started tapping her cheeks and this time she opened her eyes again)
Bani : Veerrrr. (She took a deep breath and closed her eyes)
Veer : Hey, Bani!!!! Look at me again please. Baby please look at me. See here I'm crying for you. Last night only you said you love me a lot but now you are doing this to me. Open your eyes sweetheart.
This time Bani left his hand from her hold. He realised it and quickly tried to make her hold him tightly again but as she lost her consciousness completely she was not holding his hand anymore.
Veer : Bani, why did you leave my hand? I'm here with you. Please open your eyes and hold my hand again. (He tried all the possible ways to wake her up but all went in vain)

The ambulance reached the nearby hospital and they quickly rushed taking Bani inside the emergency operation theatre. They asked Veer to complete the formalities and they immediately started the treatment. Veer was leaning against the door while crying his heart out there. After few minutes, the nurse came out and gave Bani's accessories to Veer. It was Bani's earrings, chain, watch, their promise ring and engagement ring. He held them closer to his heart and wept with rage for not being able to stop his sweetheart when she was crossing the road carelessly. The Sharmas and Singhanias arrived there in no time and saw Veer who was crying in front of the operation theatre.

Aayush : Veer, what happened to Bani?
Balwant : What happened, Veer? She is fine right?
Veer fell down on his knees and cried more. Chandrakala hugged him tightly and started consoling him.
Tanvi : Veer, what happened to my daughter?
They panicked seeing Veer's condition. His shirt was fully soaked with Bani's blood. They tried asking him about the incident but he didn't respond to any of their questions. He was crying his heart out in Chandrakala's embrace. Tapish and Meera were consoling the elders as they lost their confidence after watching Veer's condition. After some time, a doctor came out from the operation theatre and Veer quickly rushed to him.
Veer : Doctor, she is alright na? My sweetheart! Nothing happened to her right? She is fine right? Please answer me doctor. She is fine right? (He started shaking the doctor by grabbing his shoulders and Tapish went there to pull Veer)
Doctor : Mr Singhania, I can understand your situation but I'm sorry. We have tried a lot but she... (He hesitated to continue)
Veer : No!!!!! What are you trying to say now? Nothing happened to her! I know that! She is fine there! Tapish bhai, please tell them to confirm first. I know Bani is fine there. Nothing happened to her. I'm going to see her now. (He tried to go inside the OT but Balwant and Tapish stopped him)
Balwant : Veer, please calm down first.
Aayush : Doctor, what happened to my daughter?
Doctor : She had severe brain injury and lost a lot of blood which affected her brain's circulatory system so now she has fallen into a coma.
Tanvi : Bani!!!!!!!! (She screamed and fell down on the floor to which Meera and Chandrakala rushed towards her)
Veer : No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop lying!!!! My sweetheart is totally fine! (He screamed at the top of his voice and punched the wall)
Doctor : Mr Singhania, please control yourself.
Veer : No, this is not true. My sweetheart will never leave me. I want to see her now. I want to see her. I will see my sweetheart. She will wake up after hearing me. Doctor, please I want to see her now. Please allow me inside. (He started begging the doctor impatiently)
Doctor : Hmm okay. Come with me.
Aayush : Doctor, I also want to see my daughter. (He cried)
Doctor : No, I'm sorry. This is OT and outsiders are not allowed to go inside. I will let in Mr Singhania for now then you all can visit her when she is shifted to normal ward.

Inside the operation theatre :
Veer took steps slowly towards Bani, who was just lying as a statue on the bed. There was no single movement in her and her heart was beating slowly only for her Veer. Her head, right arm and left foot were wrapped with bandages. Her face, neck and arms had several bruises. Tears continuously rolled down his eyes. He cupped her face and kissed on her forehead and then on the bruises. His tears fell on her eyes and he wiped them off. He sat beside her and held her left hand in his hands.

Veer : Sweetheart, why are you not opening your eyes? Doctor said you are in coma now but I'm never going to believe it. Faster open your eyes and prove me that doctor was lying sweetheart. Faster do it. Come on. Open your eyes now baby. Last night you said I should never lower my head but see now I'm crying because of you. Wake up and wipe my tears, Bani. I won't stop crying until you wipe my tears. Today is my birthday and you are hurting me a lot. Faster wake up baby! Our family is waiting for you outside. Open your eyes now and tell them that you are fine. Sweetheart, why are you being so stubborn? Open your eyes and talk to me now! Sweetheart, I'm getting angry now. Don't irritate me! Open your eyes and look at me!!! (He was first talking calmly but then started shouting at her and the doctor placed his hand on Veer's shoulder)
Doctor : Mr Singhania, please control yourself. Let's hope for the best soon.
Veer : No, doctor. Ask her to open her eyes and look at me now. I want to listen to her voice now. Do something and make sure she open her eyes. Please do something, doctor.
Doctor : We have tried our level best to bring her out of coma but we failed. I'm so sorry, Mr Singhania. (Doctor lowered his head and patted on his shoulder)
Veer ignored the doctor's words and started waking up his sweetheart again.
Veer : Bani, open your eyes now. You haven't give me your birthday gift yet. When are you going to give me? Open your eyes and talk to me sweetheart. Why are you being so adamant? I really don't like this behaviour of yours. You are not listening to your best friend nowadays. After our marriage, I won't tolerate this behaviour from you. Faster open your eyes now. (He placed his head at her shoulder and cried)
Doctor : Mr Singhania, we need to shift her to the normal ward so can you please wait outside for a while? (He asked politely)
Veer : No!!! I'm not going to move from here until she gets up. Ask her to open her eyes first. (He said adamantly and held her hand more tighter)
After a lot of struggle, the doctor finally managed to convince Veer and sent him out. They shifted Bani to the normal private ward and all the family members visited her one by one. Veer sat beside her and held her hand possessively the whole day without having a single drop of water.
