Continuation of previous part :

Bani : I love you, Mr Veeranshu Singhania.
Veer : Now my turn. (He slid the ring in her finger) I love you, Ms Bani Sharma.
He cupped her face and gazed into her eyes intensely. Bani also cupped his face and caressed his lips with her thumb. Both of them were moving closer.
Bani : Veeru, I'm feeling hungry. (She made a pout)
Veer : Uff sweetheart, one should learn how to spoil a romantic moment from you. (He sulked and Bani giggled)
He left her face and held her hands before taking her to the dining table. They had their dinner silently as Bani was busy eating her food while Veer sulked for not having their kiss. Their silence was broken by Bani after finishing her food.
Bani : That's all?
Veer : Huh?
Bani : I mean no dessert here yaar Veeru.
Veer : Sweetheart, I have prepared this dinner date to spend some quality time with you but you are worrying about not having a dessert now. (He said in disbelief)
Bani : I don't care. I want a dessert now.
Veer : Okay, fine. What would you like to have?
Bani : I will have it by myself. (She got up from her chair)
Veer : Yeah obviously you will have it by yourself but what you want to have?
Bani walked to him without answering him and sat on his lap. His eyes popped out when she snaked her arms around his neck and gazed into his eyes with a mischievous smirk.
Veer : Wha...what are you trying to do? (He gulped looking at her naughty smirk)
Bani : I would like to have my dessert now.
Veer : Huh? (He raised his eyebrow)

The next moment his eyes popped out even more when she pressed his lips with hers. He didn't respond as he was still in shock so she pulled his hair making him gasp and she took this opportunity to enter his mouth. Veer also started responding to her kiss and they had a kiss full of care, love and passion. They broke their kiss when both of them felt the need of oxygen. Both were panting heavily and joined their forehead together.
Veer : Thank you, sweetheart. I love you so much.
Bani : I love you more, Veeru.
Veer : Ufff my dear, please stop calling me Veeru.
Bani : Why Veeru? (She grinned)
Veer : You will never listen to me right?
Bani : No. Never.
Veer : Now you will do.
He started tickling her and Bani got up from his lap and started running from him while he was chasing her. Veer almost reached her so he tried to grab her hand but she lost her balance and both of them fell into a small tent which was decorated cutely with LED fairy lights and few cushions which were labelled about love.

Bani was on the mattress and Veer was above her. He balanced himself with his elbows as he doesn't want to put his whole weight on her. Both were giggling at each other while taking deep breaths. Bani wrapped her arms around his neck and Veer nuzzled into her neck to tickle her more with his beard.
Bani : Ahhh Veer stop it please. I'm feeling ticklish. (She said while trying to pull his head from her neck)
Veer : No. First say that you won't call me Veeru again.
Bani : Okay, I won't call you Veeru again. Please move.
Veer : Can I trust you?
Bani : Yes can. Move now.
He pulled back from her neck and looked at her. They shared an eye lock for a while.
Veer : Sweetheart, are you sure about this? (He asked, caressing her face)
Bani : Huh? Sure about what?
Veer : About us. I mean from best friends to now this.. ummm.. you know. (He hesitated)
Bani : From best friends to lovers. That's it. Don't you love me?
Veer : I do, sweetheart. I mean are you feeling comfortable with me now?
Bani : I'm feeling more comfortable with you now baby. I will always feel comfortable with you no matter what type of relationship we share.
Veer : I love you so much sweetheart. (He smiled genuinely and hugged her in that position)
Bani reciprocated the hug and they broke it after few seconds. He laid down on the mattress beside her and they interlocked their fingers while staring at the sky.

Bani : Veeranshu?
Veer : Haan? (He turned to look at her)
Bani : So are you planning to marry me?
Veer : No. I will love you but marry someone else. (He said, being annoyed)
Bani giggled at his answer and kissed on his cheek making him blush.
Bani : Arre, you didn't wipe it off?
Veer : What?
Bani : Usually if I kiss you on your cheek you would wipe it off but today you are blushing.
Veer : You want me to wipe it? It means you had kissed me on my lips just now. Want me to wipe it too? (He smirked)
Bani : If you wipe it then I will kiss you again.
Veer : Oh really? Then I should do it.
He wiped his lips and instantly Bani gave a peck on his lips. He smiled and again tried to wipe it but she held his hands to stop him.
Bani : You are doing this deliberately to make me kiss you again and again. Aren't you?
Veer : Wow you are getting smart nowadays sweetheart. (He teased her)
Bani : Oh so before this I was not smart, huh? (She got up and hovered over him)
She pinned his hands on either side of his head.
Veer : What are you trying to do now?
Bani : I'm trying to eat you.
Veer : Sweetheart, if I start to eat you then you won't be able to bear it. (He winked at her and she blushed)
Bani quickly left his hands and hid her head at his chest while he wrapped his arms around her.
Veer : Sweetheart, shall we go back home now? They will be waiting for us. (He asked, caressing her back)
Bani : Hmm okay chalo. (They got up and walked towards the car)

They reached Sharma mansion and entered inside the house to get a big surprise from their family members. They had decorated the main hall beautifully. Vani were astonished to see the decorations as how they were able to decorate it within the short time. Everyone screamed chorally when they saw Vani entering the hall.
Everyone : Surprise!!!!!!! (They screamed while beaming in happiness)
Veer and Bani both raised their eyebrows and looked at each other.
Veer : How do they know about our decision? Did you tell them anything? (He whispered near her ear)
Bani : No, Veer. I didn't even bring my phone with me. (She whispered back)
Meera : Oye you two! What are you both whispering there?
Veer : What's this decoration for?
Balwant : For your engagement, Veer.
Veer and Bani's eyes widened.
Veer/Bani : What???? (They screamed in unison)
Chandrakala : Yes, children. Both of you are getting engaged now.
Veer : But we haven't inform you all anything about our decision?
Tapish : No need of it. We already know your decision.
Bani : But how??
Tanvi : Because we know both of you well. (She gave an assuring smile)
Bani : Mumma, you are wrong. We have decided something else. This is not going to happen.
Everyone : What??? (Their eyes popped out in shock)
Veer understood what she's going to say so he decided to play along with her.
Veer : Yes. We have decided to remain as friends. This is not going to happen.
Aayush : But beta we thought you both are loving each other.
Bani : No papa, I was wrong. It was not love. We don't feel comfortable with each other so we decided to remain as best friends till the end. (She said with a sad face)
Veer : Wow sweetheart I just hope you should be nominated in the list for Oscar Award next year. (He whispered to her)
Bani : Shut up, Veer.
Meera : Oh so you both have decided to remain as friends? (She asked while walking to them)
Veer : Yes.
Meera : Really?
Bani : Yes bhabhi.
Meera went near Veer and stared at him.
Veer : What bhabhi? (He raised his eyebrow)
Meera stood between Veer and Bani and pulled their ears together. They started wincing in pain.
Bani : Ahhhh bhabhi leave my ear.
Veer : Bhabhi it hurts ahhhh.
Tapish : Meera, what are you doing?
Meera : Ma, papa, Tapish, uncle and aunty, please don't trust these two idiots. They are trying to fool us again. Look at their fingers. They have already exchanged their rings. (She spilled the beans)
Veer and Bani quickly hid their hands behind them and smiled sheepishly. All of them breathed a sigh of relief and started taunting Vani for fooling them again. Bani hugged Veer and both started blushing.

Chandrakala : Oye children, stop being shameless in front of your parents. Do all these after your marriage.
Vani quickly separated and Chandrakala gave slight slap on Vani's cheeks playfully.
Balwant : Children, we have arranged an engagement function for you both here but you guys have already exchange your rings. (He said disappointedly)
Bani : No, uncle. This is our promise ring so we are not engaged yet. Am I right, Veer?
Veer : Yes.
Aayush : Then why are we wasting time for? Let's make the engagement happen now.
Tanvi : Yes, you are right.
Meera brought Veer and Bani to the small decorated stage there and their family members gathered around them. Tapish passed the rings to Vani respectively. First Veer made Bani wear the ring and then Bani did the same. Everyone cheered for them by clapping their hands,
Veer : Congrats, sweetheart. You are finally engaged to me.
Bani : Same to you, Veer. You are mine now. (She winked at him and he blushed lightly)
Chandrakala : Bani, faster get married to him and come to our house. I can't wait to see you as Singhanias daughter in law. (She placed a kiss on Bani's forehead)
Bani : I don't have to wait for that until marriage, Chandu aunty. I can even come there and settle now.
Meera : Oh, ma see here. Your friend already pulled Bani to her side. I'm sure Bani will forget all of us after her marriage.
Chandrakala : Just like how you forgot your family after getting married to Tapish right? (She teased Meera and everyone giggled)
Tanvi : It's okay, Meera. I'm sure Chandu will take care of Bani like her own daughter.
Bani : No, I don't want to become your daughter then your son will be my brother. (She pouted and Veer hit her head slightly)
Chandrakala : Okay then I will treat you like how the typical saas treats their daughter in law in daily soaps. I will make you do all the house chores and..... (Bani stopped her)
Bani : Aunty, stop!!!! If you do like that then I won't marry your son. (She said, making a face while Veer's eyes widened)
Veer : Sweetheart? I won't let you go from me. (He grabbed her hand protectively)
Tapish : Hehe, another joru ka ghulam is on the way.
Veer : Bhai!!!
Meera : Another? Who is the first one?
Bani : Obviously your husband, Meera bhabhiiii. (She snickered)
Tapish glared at Bani and then all started laughing. After the engagment, the Singhanias left to their mansion. Veer and Bani slept peacefully in their respective homes after admiring their engagement rings and recalling their romantic moments.

Just like that 3 weeks passed and there was a strong bond of understanding between them which grew day by day. They spent most of their time together in office and either homes as usual but as lovers rather than best friends. They still had their cute little fights as Bani used to refuse listening to him and he often gets irritated by her yet it doesn't affect their relationship as they couldn't stay without each other for longer time.

It was finally Veer's 25th birthday. Bani was planning on how to surprise him as she wanted to make this birthday a special one. A day before his birthday she went to Singhania mansion and stole the spare keys of the mansion from Balwant's study room. She planned to surprise Veer by sneaking into his room at 11:30pm. As she planned, she silently sneaked into the mansion from the back door and reached Veer's room. She entered the room and closed the door behind her. She was expecting him to be sleeping there but unfortunately he was not on the bed. She heard the water sound from the bathroom and realised that he was there.

She hid the gift she brought under the bed and she went to hid herself behind the curtains. After few minutes, Veer came out from the washroom wrapped in a towel around his waist. Bani's eye popped out when she saw him being shirtless. It was not first time for her to watch him shirtless but this time she felt butterflies in her stomach. He went near the wardrobe and took out his clothes. He was about the open the knot of his towel and Bani who saw that immediately shouted.
Bani : Veer wait don't open!!!!!!!!
He jerked suddenly hearing her voice and searched for her in the room. She slowly came out from the curtains smiling sheepishly. She held her ears and apologised cutely.
Veer : What the hell are you doing here at this time?
Bani : Well, I just came to see you.
Veer : What? Are you crazy? What's the time now? How did you come here?
Bani : Ufff Veeru, stop asking too many questions yaar. We are engaged so I can come here whenever I want.
Veer : But what are you.... (He stopped when he saw her scanning him from top to bottom shamelessly)
Veer's mind voice : Why she is looking at me like this? Is she checking me out?
Only then he realised that he was wearing nothing except a towel and that was the reason why she was staring at him shamelessly. He quickly took the clothes and ran into the washroom. Bani bursted out laughing at his cute behaviour. He came out wearing his clothes after 2 minutes.
Veer : Okay now tell me. What are you doing here at this time?
Bani's mind voice : Did he really forget about his birthday? How he couldn't guess why I am here?
Veer : Oye sweetheart! I asked you something. What. Are. You. Doing. Here?
Bani : I told you right, Veeru. I felt like wanted to see you so I came here.
Veer : You mean you felt like you wanted to see me at 12 in the midnight? (He raised his eyebrow)
Bani : Shit!!! Is it already 12? (She checked her watch and realised few more seconds for 12)
Veer : What??
Bani : 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Happy Birthday, Veeranshu!!!! (She jumped on him and hugged him tightly)

Veer : Oh yeah it's my birthday! Thank you so much sweetheart. (He lifted her by her waist and she wrapped her legs around his waist)
Bani : Happy Birthday, Veer. I love you! (She kissed on his both cheeks)
Veer : I love you more, meri jaan. (He kissed on her forehead and nose)
Bani got down from him and stood behind him. She took out a blindfold from her pocket and covered his eyes.
Veer : Hey, what are you doing?
Bani : Shhhh! Come with me.
Veer : Sweetheart, I can't see anything.
Bani : I will guide you, Veer. Hold me tightly. (She whispered huskily at his ears)
He smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist. She held his other hand and started taking him somewhere.
