Meeting Poppy's two roommates and find out parts of Branch's past and how Branch and Sunset get along.

That evening Poppy made it to her apartment, unlocking the door and walking into a wonderful smell.

''Hey I'm back!'' Poppy called walking into the living room and then right into the kitchen to see a cute orange country with blue ponytail was cooking.

''Poppy!'' Holly shouted going over and hugging Poppy. ''Welcome back!''

''Thanks, so what are you making this time?'' The pink troll asked going over to the stove.

''Oh, it's a special one I found when I was over at my aunts last week. It's called Lamb Potpie.'' She spoke.

Poppy nodded; it wasn't unusual for Holly to make new meals. Poppy and Holly were best friends and decided to be roommates.

Holly set the table. ''So is Val gonna eat with us?'' Poppy asked sitting down.

''I doubt it she has her band gig and who knows how long that will take.'' Holly said going back to the stove.

''I'm surprised you didn't go this time.'' Poppy pointed out.

''Well you know I don't mind rock music but there is only so much I can take.'' Holly said sighing.

Val Thunderstruck was their other roommate who they met at a party and needed a place to crash she was considered a rock troll and always had a band gig somewhere, but she was relaxed and chill, both Poppy and Holly adored her, and they were all besties.

Once supper was ready the two girls sat down and started eating enjoying the comfortable silence. ''So how are things with you and Gust?'' Poppy asked giggling.

Holly blushes and grins. ''Great actually tomorrow he's coming to get me and I'm gonna spend the weekend with him!''

''That's great Holly! But you seem to be going over there a lot, if you like he come stay here for the weekend.'' Poppy offered but knew that the couple like there privacy.

''Nah! Besides its so beautiful out there and me and Gust have stuff to do.'' Holly said not looking up.

''Me and Val know that you and Gust have sex, judging from your face and when you come back your all clean not any dirt on you and you have that goofy look of love.'' Poppy giggles.

''Ok Ms. Know it all, you caught us and its really good you should try it for yourself sometime.'' Holly shot back with a knowing smirk.

Poppy rolls her eyes. ''I have enough on my plate with my clients.'' Poppy said finishing her food.

''Sure, but they are stuck there, so why not try to go out. I could set you up...'' Holly tried.

''No thanks, I'm fine Holly.'' Poppy said clearing hers and Holly's plates.

Once it was over, they finished cleaning the dishes when Holly got a phone call and took it.

''Hey Gust!'' Holly giggles over the phone. ''I'm free it's just me and Poppy.'' Holly said winking at Poppy going to her room.

Poppy giggles and went to the living room grabbing her laptop sitting down and turning it on. She was looking up research about Branch Timber's case.

Meanwhile back at the jailhouse, Branch had finished supper and was in his cell laying on his bed hands behind is head thinking.

''Hey Branch!'' He closes his eyes hoping the voice would go away. ''I just want to talk.''

He turned and saw Ryan at the door not moving. Branch sighed. ''What is it Ryan?'' He asked coldly.

''Look I'm sorry you got into trouble for me... and I want to make it up to you.'' Ryan looked down.

''Yeah. get me out of here.'' Branch said looking at the ceiling.

''You know if I had that power I would and thank you though for saving me.'' Ryan said.

''Sure.'' Branch said.

''We are playing some cards if you want to join.'' Ryan offered.

''No.'' Branch said firmly closing his eyes.

He heard the footsteps leave, he was thinking about his grandma, but Poppy was also on his mind the way she was sweet to him and hugged him.

Footsteps were heard as he growls. ''Go away I said no!'' Branch snapped.

''Oh, is that anyway to greet your roommate crybaby?'' A smug voice said.

Branch growls and sat up glaring at Sunset who was leaning in the doorway.

''Nobody cared.'' Branch snapped.

''So I heard you had to go to therapy, and you had a complete meltdown.'' Sunset said smirking.

Branch was curious as to how Sunset knew.

''You'd be surprised how I hear things. What did you think of Ms. Pink hot pants?'' Sunset asked walking in.

''You mean Poppy? Eh she ok I guess tries to be more of a friend then a therapist.'' Branch said shrugging.

''Hmm you can't tell me you don't think she's attractive.'' Sunset said raising an eyebrow.

Branch wasn't gonna give in, sure Poppy was a pretty troll but he knew nothing about her except she was very soft and smelled nice. ''I never said that I don't know her she could be a stuck up.''

''She not, she sweet, and too innocent for her own good. I'm so close to popping that cheery of hers.'' Sunset licks his lips jumping on his bed.

Branch felt his blood boil and wanted to punch Sunset for that. ''How do you know she's not taken and already had her cherry popped, surely other males have noticed her.'' Branch said playing it cool.

''Oh she not, she told me so herself, she too stuck in her work but I will have her and she will be my ticket out of here.'' Sunset said feeling himself get hard.

''Good luck you only get to see her once a week and they have to call security on your ass.'' Branch mocked.

He was pulled to the ground arms pinned and Sunset snarled at him. ''Maybe so but at least I don't have a meltdown crybaby.'' He shoves Branch's head down and got off walking out of the cell.

Branch gasped and rolls his eyes, but some reason he couldn't get Poppy out of his mind.

Poppy was pulling all she could on Branch and his case when the door bursts open and Val came in laughing. ''HEY POPPY!''

She jumped on the couch and looked at what Poppy was looking at. ''Oh hey isn't that the troll who murdered his grandma?'' Val asked.

''Yeah, I'm trying to find more about the case.'' Poppy said still looking.

Val turned on the tv and was watching Dance Battles. ''All I heard it was a quick case took two days and they nailed him.'' Val said on her stomach on the couch.

Holly came out and sat on the other side of Poppy. ''Hey Val, what did I miss?''

''Poppy is looking up the Branch Timber murder.'' Val said walking in the kitchen to make some popcorn.

''Oh yes that story, very sad I don't see why he did that, he had money and it was all gonna be his after she died.'' Holly said shaking her head.

''How do you know all of this?'' Poppy asked stunned.

''Its easy watch the news.'' Val said with a bowl of popcorn.

''I do but I didn't catch any of this.'' Poppy said.

''You were knee deep into your studies when it happened.'' Holly pointed out.

''Yeah so why the interest in him?'' Asked Val.

''Because I heard his name and was curious.'' Poppy said.

''Wait he's at the same jail you're working at right?'' Val was placing it together.

''Oh Poppy is he a client of yours?'' Asked Holly leaning over her.

''You know I can't talk about my clients but yes he is at that jail and I always do research on them you know this.'' She said.

Holly and Val looked at the picture of Branch.

''Is he really that good looking in troll?'' Asked Holly giggling.

''Yeah, you could say that.'' She said not paying attention.

Val and Holly decided to drop it for now and they continued watching tv together.
