Nick: "So mm... We're looking for a new drummer and I kinda want you to be it "

Merlyn: " What?!"

Nick: " Please say you'll do it 🥺🙏"

Merlyn: " Do you know what you're even saying?. You want me to be The Redshades Drummer. What about Jake? Isn't he the one?"

Nick: "About that....."

*Flashback *

Two days ago.......

At Redshades penthouse. A sudden meeting was called by manager Liam. All the members came. They all were wondering for what this meeting was for..... And then the bomb was dropped.

Liam: "So guys the reason for this meeting is that Jake is going to back out from the band."

All three of them: "WHAT?!"

Jake: "I'm sorry guys but it's best for me to back out from the band because my father has made me his successor and He's going to send me to France as part of my training. I don't know when I'll be able to come back, so it's best for you guys to look for another drummer."

Nick: "But how's that possible?! We made this band together and if you're going to back out it's not going to be the same!!!"

Derek: "Shut up Nick. We all know that but don't you see he's not got choice....."

Florian: "That's right Nick.... Even though it's not gonna be the same, you know that this band is not gonna last forever. And eventually we all will have to back out to be the successors of our families. For Jake the time has come a bit early and he has to go for it. "

Nick: "But..."

Derek: "No buts... This is how it is. If you're going to say he can do this in long distance it's not going to work out and that'll only be a burden for him and us."

Jake: "Guys 🥺"

Liam: "What about the rest of you? Do you agree with Nick or have any other ideas?"

Jake: "Well I've seen her playing drums one time he dragged me with him to the music club and I admit she does a pretty good job than me. So I see why not. "

Liam: "Derek?"

Derek: "Let him bring her here. We'll see after she gives us a brief performance. After all it's all about action rather than words."

*PRESENT*

Nick: "Since Jake is going to leave, we're trying to find a new drummer to replace him. "

Merlyn: "So you want me to audition for the Redshades drummer position?"

Nick: "Yes!"

Merlyn: "But why me?"

Nick: "Because I've never seen anyone who plays the drums like you do. Trust me, seeing you play is like seeing it coming into life. I know I always tease you but this time I'm being serious."

Merlyn:"Just....let me think about it."

Nick: "Okay, and if you made up your mind then come to the address which I'll send, on monday at 4pm."

Merlyn: "Ok...."

Merlyn is in her room deep in her thoughts when her brother comes in with a bowl of fruits. Passing it to her, he asks about what she is thinking.

Merlyn: "Well the reason Nick came here is to recruit me to his band. He wants me to be the drummer of Red Shades as the current one is going to leave."

Mikhail: "So are you going to join or not?"

Merlyn: "Hmmm I was thinking maybe...?"

Mikhail: "Do whatever you want to do kiddo.
Just make sure you don't regret it later."

Merlyn: "Yeah...."

*Timeskip*

Merlyn is on her way to the address Nick sent her. She is on call with Vivi as she is feeling a little nervous.

On call

Vivian: "Why are you being nervous dummy?! Have faith in yourself girl... I can assure you that you're the best drummer I've ever seen in my life and there's no one who deserves that position than you."

Meryln: "I know I play it well but I can't help it Vivi. It's the freaking Red Shades we're talking about. Words and actions differ you know...."
Vivian: "Whatever it is, you're going to get it girl. I have a gut feeling about it and it never lies. "

Merlyn: "Yea yea, Oh I reached the place I guess I'll call after this. Wish me luck. "

Vivian: "All the best, bestie and remember you must call me immediately after you leave the place ok?"

Meryln: "Yeah, bye."

Vivian: "bye"

Call end

Merlyn rings the doorbell and waits there. In a minute the door opens, leaving her and the person standing there to yell looking at each other

"YOU?!"
