Epilogue - Part 2

(POV) Bree

Amazingly enough, the proposal caught me by surprise. I actually didn't see it coming.

Flashback:

I was sitting by Chase on the couch at the now self proclaimed, Davenport Mansion. Chase had his arm around me. We were awaiting the arrival of the now married couple to come down the stairs for the celebration of their fifth wedding anniversary. Chase and I were now twenty two.

"When are they coming down? I want cake!" Adam whinnied as he took a seat next to me. Caitlyn slowly followed.

"Settle down, Adam. They'll be down in a minute." Caitlyn reassured Adam as he put an arm around her.

"Hey... Where's Leo and Janell?" I asked thinking of the on again, off again, couple.

"Oh... I forgot to tell you guys. Umm... They may, or may not, be on their honeymoon right now." Adam said quietly.

"What?!" Chase and I said together as we sat up.

"Yeah... Um... Leo proposed about two weeks ago. She said yes and didn't want to wait to get married. They went down to city hall, signed the papers, and let's just say Leo put a ring on it. Now they're in Hawaii." Adam finished with a nod.

"Wow." I said.

"Yeah, who knew that kid would just pop the question one day." Chase said as he pulled me back down on the couch. I turned to Chase with one question running trough my mind. When was he going to propose to me?

"Hey everyone! Thank you to coming to celebrate our fifth anniversary!" Tasha said as she made her way down the stairs. Davenport and Tasha decided to wear the same outfits they wore the night we got them back together. I laughed at their cheesiness.

"I can't believe we have to tell that same speech again." I sighed as we stood up and made our way to the unofficial stage, thinking about the story we told at the wedding.

"Don't worry. I don't think we'll have to tell it this year." Chase said with a devilish smile.

"Why? They make us re-tell it every year." I said as Chase took my hand and helped me up the stairs.

"Just wait, you'll see." Chase winked at me. As Tasha introduced us, I let my fingers play with the necklace I had been wearing for five years straight. Chase had his on, too.

"Okay, everyone. Give it up for the story of how these two got us back together!" Tasha said as everyone clapped. I knew that this was what Tasha looked forward too every year, but this was getting ridiculous.

"Alright everyone. Let's just say things are going to go a little different this year. Bree... Why don't you start us off." Chase smirked as I froze. I didn't even know what he said every year to start the story. I had practically memorized my half, but I had no clue up he started it off.

"Umm... Okay." I said as I turned away from Chase to face the crowd. "It all started at the mall. Chase and I saw each other through the windows... And I at least know for me, it was love at first-" I didn't get to finish, because suddenly, everyone's eyes went wide. Every girl in the room gasped. I looked back at them confused, but then I saw Caitlyn and Adam pointing behind me. I turned around to see Chase on one knee holding the ring I remember from the dream I had almost five years ago.

"Oh my gosh." I said as I turned to face him. He laughed back at me then took the microphone from my hand, still holding the ring out.

"Bree. I want you to know that you mean the world to me. And when I say this, I mean it, I love you more than anything in the world. You complete me. And every time I see you playing with the necklace you have on right now, it makes me smile because I know that you feel the same. I can't even bare the thought of losing you. I can't see myself with anyone else but you. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is... Bree, will you marry me?" He asked as he held the ring a little bit closer to me. I had started crying about halfway through his speech. But before he even started, I knew what my answer would be.

"Chase, I love you so much. Why on earth would I not marry you." I said with a smile as he stood and put the ring I had imagined countless times onto my finger. I looked back up to him after it was on. He pulled me into a hug as the cheers and claps began.

"Did you have any idea?" Chase whispered to me.

"No... I was seriously just wondering if you were going to propose after we heard the Leo and Jannel story." I smiled back at him.

"So, when do you see yourself getting married?" He asked as he pulled away to see my face.

"Well... Maybe September... On the beach." I said. He smiled to me then pulled me back into the hug before he whispered.

"That's exactly what I was thinking."

Present:

Now, here I am, standing with Davenport behind the doors that would lead me to a life with Chase. Caitlyn and Adam stood ahead of me. Caitlyn with her own ring on her finger. Adam proposed last night at the rehearsal dinner. I turned around to see Leo holding the rings on the same ring pillow that Tasha and Davenport had at their wedding.

"Hey, are you okay?" Davenport asked as I turned back to him.

"Yeah... Just excited." I said as I smiled back at him.

"Good. That's what we need. You and Chase are going to be the best business couple in Mission Creek." Davenport smiled as he said that.

"Are you sure your okay with us combining the companies to make the one shop?" I asked.

"Yes, Bree. I think it's the best idea ever. Having the companies combined has made the two more popular than ever. And, before we head in... I just wanted to say congratulations on the other thing as well." Davenport smirked as I became worried.

"Can you tell?" I asked quickly and quietly.

"No, don't worry. Tasha told me. And I think Chase will be happy to find out he's going to be a father." Davenport smiled as I relaxed again.

"Thanks, Dad." I said as the doors opened and the newly engaged couple stared to walk in. Chase hadn't seen me in my dress yet. I was hopping he'd like it (Bree's dress up at the top).

"Okay, best of wishes to the happy couple." Davenport whispered before handing me off to Chase.

"You look beautiful." Chase whispered as he helped me up to the alter.

"And you look handsomer than ever." I whispered back as he smiled at me.

**Ceremony**

"Bree, do you take Chase to be your husband?" The minister asked.

"I do." I smiled back at Chase. I had been tearing up since we said our vows.

"And Chase, do you take Bree to be your wife?"

"I do." He smiled.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Chase, you may kiss the bride." The minister stepped back as Chase walked forward and dipped me into the kiss. When he lifted me back up I smiled at my new husband.

"I now give you for the first time ever, Mr. And Mrs. Chase Henderson." The minister said as Chase walked me back up the isle. You could hear cheers everywhere.

"Bree, is there something you need to tell me? Davenport has been hinting about something for the past couple of days." Chase asked as we stepped through the doors that were soon shut.

"Umm, well, kind of." I smiled up at him.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Bree's-" luckily Caitlyn stopped Adam before he blew my surprise.

"Go ahead, Bree." Caitlyn said as she took her fiancé over to the other side of the room.

"Well.." I started again.

"Bree?" Chase asked suddenly worried.

"I'm pregnant." I finally said.

"Oh my god, we're gonna have baby." Chase said as he took both my hands.

"Yeah." I smiled back at him.

"We're gonna have a baby." He said as he picked me up and twirled me around. I didn't think this day could get any better. "I'm so happy I married you." He said as he pulled me in for a hug.

"I'm happy I married you." I said as I hugged him back tighter. I finally fulfilled my promise to myself. As I grabbed onto the neckless Chase gave me five and a half years ago, I thought to myself, "I never did lose Chase's heart."
