Love is a strange thing you know, it knows little boundaries, unites two souls despite their mortal attributes but is also a blind entity. It cares not for what your outward appearance may be; it cares only for what makes up your character. These traits of a metaphysical entity also unite the souls of those destined to fall in love and those pairs are called Soul Mates. With human bodies evolving to develop powers and abilities known as quirks, love has also changed in the way it weaves the strings of fates and plucks at the hearts of humans. For each soul mate pair, they share one their unique power with their other half. It is uncommon for people to possess only one quirk or even be quirkless, however people assume that the other halves for these people possess the quirk that they share or are quirkless as well. Remember how I mentioned that love is blind? For those who have yet to meet their soulmate this is the case to an extent. The colors of their world will remain a mystery until they finally kiss their other half.

As is the case there have been people who have gone their entire lives without meeting their other half, not knowing the beauty of our world. That's what Midoriya Izuku was thinking as he plummeted hundreds of feet out of the sky from destroying a massive robot during the entrance exams of the prestigious UA high. He rears back his arm to use his inherited power completely forgetting of the zero gravity quirk he possesses and readies himself to break his fall. Just as he is about to strike the ground a hand strikes him in the face, in that moment he feels the familiar sense of weightlessness before floating down to the ground. The girl who hit him was atop a destroyed piece of a robot, having floated it up to save Izuku's life for saving hers. When she made contact with his face both of them saw an explosion of color the world around them came to life as they had never seen it before. Neither could enjoy this new scene as Uraraka Ochako began to vomit from overusing their shared quirk and Izuku passed out due to the pain from his inherited power One for All.

Waking up hours later Izuku is met with the white lights of a hospital room, the ekg machine next to him beeping in rhythm with his heart. He looks at his arms and closes his fists a couple times feeling that they have healed. A feeling of someone watching him washes over as he quickly turns from looking at his hands to about the room before coming into contact with the grey eyes of a girl sitting next to him on the bed. Izuku silently waves to her, showing the five paw pads on his fingertips, he gets one in return from the girl and sees the same paw pads on her finger tips. His mind suddenly flashes back to earlier that day when she tapped the back of his backpack keeping him from tripping. Then he remembers what she said about her quirk and having saved her during the exam. All of this culminates with heat rushing to his cheeks realising who this person is, the person who smacked him allowing him to see color for the first time.

"I know this is a little awkward of a first conversation but, what is your quirk?" She asks looking at the paw pads on his hand.

"Which one? I have a stockpile strength enhancer and zero gravity quirks." He answers before the room falls under a pregnant silence once more.

"I'm sorry for... smacking you earlier." She says as she averts eye contact with him for a moment.

"I-It's a-alright, you did it to save me. Um... i-in that moment. D-did you see color?" Izuku asks, causing her to perk up and lock eyes with him once more.

"Yes! I-I mean... yes I did well, I think we should introduce ourselves to each other since we're gonna be together for the long haul. I'm Uraraka Ochako, what is your name? My other half." She says, extending her hand to shake Izuku's own.

"Izuku Midoriya, it's a pleasure to meet you Uraraka." Izuku says, giving her a closed eyed bright smile. Once he opens his eyes once more a new color makes itself known to him. The color of her eyes, to us it is a simple chocolate brown or a hazelnut color of brown. To Izuku however he couldn't even begin to comprehend the color he was seeing. He was mesmerized.

"W-why are you staring at me like that?" Ochako asks before looking Izuku in the eyes, a beautiful shade of emerald green is shining in the world of black and white. This color locks her attention in for what feels like an eternity, she could stare into his eyes until the very fabric of reality withered away around them. "Woah..."

"Your eyes are so beautiful." They say in unison before blushing madly at this, Ochako hides her face with her hands causing herself to float and Deku hides his head in his arms and also causes himself to float about the room.

"H-hey... s-since w-were y-yknow... Soulmates? W-would you like to h-hang out sometime?" Ochako stammers out after regaining some of her composure. "I-It doesn't h-have to be a date i-if you don't want it to be." she says petering out towards the end of her sentence.

"I-I'd love to... I-I mean s-sure it sounds like it would be fun... but it's late and our parents are probably worried." Izuku says looking at his phone and nearly having a heart attack upon seeing all the missed calls from his mother and father.

"Oh you're right! I totally forgot! I'm sorry Midoriya. How about this? Give me your phone number so we can keep in touch and we will go on that hang out sometime next week?" She asks, handing Izuku her flip phone to punch in his phone number. "My parents business isn't doing that well and we're having some financial issues... I'm a little embarrassed by the phone." She says timidly.

"You shouldnt be embarrassed by it. It's an inanimate object it's not like it's reading off your deepest darkest secrets." Izuku replies as he stands from releases the gravity from himself before dropping to the floor.

"It was nice meeting you Midoriya, I hope we're in the same class." Uraraka says as she also releases the gravity from herself and lands beside Izuku. She grabs her bag and gives him a gentle wave goodbye as she exits the room.

After arriving home, Izuku's heart is pounding out of his chest, he has no idea how his parents are going to react to why he missed so many of their calls or the fact that he met his soul mate. He climbs the stairs up to their apartment and as soon as he touches the door knob the door is nearly yanked off the hinges as his hysterical mother Inko Midoriya starts sobbing about her son being home so late and ignoring her calls. Izuku explains that he had been in the infirmary all day after the exams having hurt himself with his quirk, but a particular look in Izuku's eye let's Inko know something else about her son. He had found his other half.

"Izuku? What else happened today? I know that wasn't all that happened, your eyes are full of color and life. Beforehand, they were a muted green color and now they are vibrant! *Gasp* My baby met his soul mate!!! What are they like?! What's their name!? Are they pretty? Will I get grand kids soon?! I have to tell your father! Toshiiii!!! Izuku is here! He met his soulmate today!! Come here quick!!!" Inko shouts after greeting her son at what remains of the doorway. In a swift movement Izuku was picked up by his mother, the door was put back where it once stood and he is whisked inside to fill in his father on the details.

"Who is it?! Is it the girl you saved when you smashed the zero pointer?!" Toshinori Yagi aka All Might exclaims, grabbing his son by the shoulders and shaking him repeatedly in excitement.

"Can. You. Stop. Sha-king me!" Izuku says between shakes, "Okay... one question at a time please. Her name is Ochako Uraraka and she's the prettiest girl i've ever seen. She saved me from falling face first onto the pavement. She smacked me in the face using our Zero Gravity quirk and we saw color for the first time after she made contact. Then I passed out." Izuku replies rubbing the back of his head, as he does this a ping from his phone rings in the air.

"Oh? Is that her?! Tell her we want to meet her soon!" Inko exclaims as Izuku goes to answer the text.

Uraraka: Hey, Just told my parents we met each other and they want you to come over after our hang out next week.

Midoriya: I Just did that too, my mom is ecstatic to meet you and my dad wouldn't stop shaking me by the shoulders.

Uraraka: My mom passed out after I told her and my dad wants to meet you since I told him that you saved my life today.

Midoriya: When should we meet up? We probably should have our parents meet us at a restaurant or something so they can meet each other too.

Uraraka: Sounds good but maybe we can cook something here.

Midoriya: Oh! I'm sorry I forgot you mentioned that, yeah that sounds great! My mother makes amazing Katsudon and my father is really good at making Mochi doe.

Uraraka: You had me at Mochi. I'll see you on wednesday!

Midoriya: See you then!

"What did she say? Come on my boy! Tell us!" Toshinori exclaims with Izuku pocketing his phone.

"She wants me to meet her parents and I told her the same with you two. We're going out next wednesday before the results come in from the exams then we are going to have them over here for dinner so we can meet each other." Izuku replies.

"That sounds perfect but... since you're her soulmate and she is yours... does she have One for All?" Inko asks with Izuku nodding yes in agreement.

"She seems to be able to use it at a lower output instead of full power in one shot. I'm going to ask her about it."

"Ah-ha-ha-ha!!! My son has found his soul mate! You two will be even greater than i am!" Toshinori exclaims as he flexes his buff form and lets out a belly laugh.

In the plummet from a 50 story tall robot, a single event took place that would forever change their lives. A meak green haired boy and a bubbly brown hair girl found out on this day that fate has woven their hearts together in the fabric of time. Their other half was found and they were everything the other had ever dreamed about in a partner. Though their relationship is in its infancy they can feel at this moment it is Love at first smack.
