The Final Siblings Meeting
Katakuri POV
Everyone bombarded me with questions and expected me to have all the answers. “What are we going to do about Fae? She has been asking us all sorts of questions none stop but now she just stopped and hasn’t said more then two words to us.”
“Yeah, it’s like she lost all patience with us and to be honest, I don’t blame her.”
“Katakuri, I thought lying to Fae was going to be a lot easier then this but. . she’s practically family now and it’s just not tasting right on our tongue anymore.”
“I agree, I don’t want to hide anymore secrets from her.”
“Katakuri, what do we do?”
“Katakuri.” . .“Katakuri!” . .“Katakuri!?”
“Okay! That’s enough!” My voice boomed across the room, silencing everyone. “I’ll take care of all of this.”
“You really expect us to believe that crap?” Oven growled, grabbing everyone’s attention. “You’ve been saying that since the beginning but we’ve all been watching her fall apart and your not doing anything to help her.”
“That’s not fair Oven, you know Katakuri has-" I lifted my hand up to hush Chiffon, “no, no, let him speak.” I felt the vein in my forehead bulge but I kept my temper in check and nodded my head for him to continue speaking.
“She isn’t eating or participating in anything and from the dark circles under her eyes, I’m assuming she isn’t sleeping either. Your suppose to be making her feel safe, not just physically but mentally too and from where I’m standing your not doing it.”
“You think this is easy for me?” I whispered to him dangerously. “You think I enjoy watching her crumble in front of me?” I felt the rage simmering off my skin.
He gulped but quickly blinked the fear out of his eyes. “No, I don’t think it’s easy for you or for anyone that cares for her but your not doing anything to stop it either. . She’s going to find out sooner or later, Katakuri. I’m just trying to say. . maybe-maybe we should tell her before she starts believing we all betrayed her.” Oven announced out loud to everyone but no one in the room had the courage to make eye contact with me. I let out a deep sigh, I could tell this was the source of everyone’s problem… betraying Fae.
“Look, I like Fae just as much as the next person but if we tell Fae what’s going to happen in the up coming days. . she’s going to try to warn Leon any way possible and she may get hurt in the cross fire trying to do that.” Cracker pointed out and for once in his life he wasn’t smiling.
“But if we don’t say anything. She loses the only family she has and she may turn on us and become violent.” Daifuku stated and a good amount of glares were shot in his direction.
“Your not suggesting we hurt Fae, are you?” Chiffon asked in disbelief.
“No! Of course not! I’m just saying Fae is going to see red when she finds out we killed her only brother and we may have to prepare for the worst.” Daifuku shot glares back at everyone and crossed his arms defensively.
“Fae won’t turn against us. I mean, yeah, she’ll be upset like any normal person would but once she finds out who Leon really is, she’ll understand, right Katakuri?” Pudding asked, refusing to believe any other outcome.
“No, it doesn’t matter who or what Leon has done but I do know if Leon dies by our hands. . She'll never forgive me and even if she does she’ll never trust me again.” I felt those words leave my tongue bitterly and Pudding shot daggers toward Oven’s direction.
“I bet that would make you so happy, wouldn’t it?! All this chaos will lead Fae straight into your arms!” Pudding spat out in rage as she balled her fist. I thought she was going to take a swing at him but she just spun around and ran into Chiffon's chest, crying her eyes out.
“You guys are all so dumb.” Flampe grumbled as she chewed on her gum. “I don’t like Fae at all but I rather have her around then some other needy girl who takes all of Katakuri’s attention away-”
“Flampe, we don’t have time for your whining.” Daifuku said in annoyance, waving her off.
“How rude! I was just going to tell Katakuri to tell Fae the truth!”
“We already discussed that. We can’t tell her without-" Flampe cut off Smoothie with the sound of her bubble gum popping.
“Fae isn’t your normal young stupid girl, she stopped confiding in us because we stopped confiding with her. The moment we stopped talking to her was the moment she started shutting all of us out.” Flampe shook her finger with her gum shoved into the back of her cheek and it made her cheek pucker out.
“She can tell we all are hiding something from her and most people would consider that a threat so I bet Fae is feeling trapped and confused. She doesn’t know who to trust anymore and it’s only at matter of time before she snaps but the truth is, this wouldn’t have happened if none of you got close to Fae to begin with.” She glared at half the people in the room before she continued on, “it’s easy to lie to outsiders but since Fae is no longer an outsider anymore, everyone is slipping up around her and we are doing more harm then good but all we really need to do is tell Fae bits and pieces of the truth and let her fill in the blanks on her own. I mean that’s what I would do, just saying.” She blew another big bubble and shrugged her shoulders.
“Actually, that’s a brilliant idea. We can tell her that there’s an up coming battle between the Big Mama pirates and another notorious pirate group and technically that’s not a lie. What do you think Katakuri?” Smoothie asked me but I couldn’t stop replying Pudding’s words.
“What did you mean by Fae running into his arms?” I asked her, changing the subject but I never took my eyes off of Oven.
Pudding wiped her tears away with the back of her hands, “nothing, I didn’t mean anything by it. I was just angry and frustrated with all of this.” She told me but I knew she was lying when she refused to make eye contact with me.
“If your worried about something happening between me and Fae. . nothing’s happening. . at least nothing sexual.” A while back I would have lunged at him in a jealous rage but Chiffon's words echoed in my head.
I took a large step back, controlling the anger that was trying to swirl into a ball of rage. I know Fae would never do anything like that behind my back. She would more likely leave me before betraying me.
I took another step back and ignored that stupid smug expression on his face that I desperately wanted to wipe off, “this meeting is over. I’ll tell Fae only need to know basis’s and I’ve also decided it’s time to take her to Komugi Island.”
Everyone in the room gasped in shock, “but that’s not where Mama said to keep her hidden and I thought you were going to wait until after the wedding to take her to your mansion.”
“Yeah, it’s just going to raise more questions for her.”
“Plus we don’t know how long the battle will last. She could be stuck in your mansion for days all alone.”
“I’ll figure it all out but right now Fae needs me and I need to be there for her. She’s tired of being watched by us, she wants her privacy, and she wants answers and I plan to give her exactly that.”
