Fukaboshi
Fukaboshi POV
The women in our species are known for their beauty but Faelynn, she was equally as beautiful as her twin sister, Shirahoshi if not even more beautiful.
She did her best to hide behind the large Sea King that was willing to put he's life on the line to protect his Queen.
Jinbe wasn’t exaggerating when he said she possesses the Poseidon like Shirahoshi but it seems she is in full control of her ability. Truly astonishing, our ancestors would be so proud of her but I wonder if she even knows what she's capable of?
Small air bubbles slowly left her lips. She was struggling and needed air but she refused to move or take her eyes off of me for a moment and I couldn’t help but fondly smile at her stubbornness.
Definitely has our Mother’s perseverance.
All of a sudden, Dr. Pearl's haunting words flashed across my mind and my smile slowly vanquished off my lips.
She should be able to breathe under water but according to Dr. Pearl, those disgusting human filth surgically removed her gills and fins, stripping her of her identity just to keep her isolated on dry land. I griped my staff tight as I gritted my teeth together in rage but I shook my anger away.
“I’m going up to the surface so we can talk. I promise, I’m not going to harm you in anyway.” I told her but her large round grey eyes never left mine.
I chuckled lightly and slowly swam up to the surface in a nonthreatening manner and once our heads were above water. She stood on top of the Sea King’s back practically naked and I felt heat creep up my neck. I wanted to protest and tell her to put some fucking clothes on before some perverted men saw her but I bit my tongue, not wanting to push my luck.
“Who are you and what do you want?” She asked sternly still clutching to the Sea King’s white fur.
I forced my eyes to stare into hers because if I looked down at her body again, I wouldn't be able to bite back my words of disapproval but I took a breath and gave her a friendly smile, “I am Prince Fukaboshi and I came to take you home where you belong.” I bluntly stated to her and she looked at me as if I was crazy as she shook her head no frantically. “I’ll tell you just like I told Jinbe, I am not your Princess. My name is Fae not Faelynn. I’m sorry that you lost someone you care-”
“We didn’t lose her. She standing right in front of me and our people are fighting to the deaths right now to retrieve you back, so if you please, come with me to Ryugu Kingdom. Our Father has been apprehensive sense he found out you were alive and well. . he wants to see you as does the rest of our family.”
Her face paled over, “you are crazy. I’m not going anywhere with you! I don’t know you and I’m definitely not related to you either! I only have one brother and it’s not you!” She hissed and I could tell I was infuriating her.
“Calm down, Princess-”
“I’m not your Princess!” Her Haki blasted across the sea and I took a deep breath, realizing this conversation wasn’t going as well as I planned. “I know your confused but please, just listen to me. Nineteen years ago our mother, Otohime gave birth to two beautiful twin girls, Shirahoshi and Faelynn.”
She shook her head side to side, not wanting to listen to anything I was saying. “But they were both born very weak.” She stopped shaking her head and her round grey eyes shrunk in size. “No.” She whispered and my heart broke a little seeing the confusion and distrust written all over her small face.
“Shirahoshi grew bigger, practically out growing her sickness and she got stronger as the days went by but Faelynn. . She. . You, continued to get sick until the Royal doctor declared that you passed away but the truth is, you never died. The doctor we all thought we could trust, sold you to the Government.” She covered her ears, crouching down, “shut up! Stop spouting lies!” The water around us picked up speed as they crashed against each other violently.
I raised my voice even louder, “the Government gave you to two well known Scientist who were suppose to create you into a weapon for their disposal!”
“I said stop it!” A massive wave crashed down on top of me but I held my staff up, splitting the wave in half as I stood my ground. “I know this is a lot to take in and normally I would suggest you take time to think but Leon is on his way with his crew right now! It’s going to be a bloodbath between the Big Mama pirates and the Leon pirates! I need to get you to safety!”
The waves that were violently crashing against each other became deadly still as the air chilled over. “What did you just say?” I gulped at the fierceness in her voice and her eyes burned brightly as they pierced right through me.
“I said it’s going to be a bloodbath between the Big Mama pirates and the Leon pirates and we need to leave now.” I whispered more softly and her whole body trembled as different emotions flooded across her face, anger, confusion, disbelief, fear, shock.
“Leon. . Pirates. . I-I’ve. .” She choked on her words as she covered her mouth with her hands, trying to cover up her muffled screams that desperately wanted to escape her lips while stream of tears poured out of her eyes.
I didn’t know what to say to her. I wanted to comfort her but I was just a stranger in her eyes.
“I’ve got to go.” She managed to get out through her sobs as she tried to pull herself together but she looked so broken and I felt so shitty like it was all my fault.
“Please wait. I-I know your in pain and confused but-"
“I need to straighten some things out so please call your men off and stop the unnecessary bloodshed and I promise I'll come back but you must call your men off first.” She demanded as she wiped the snot and tears away with the back of her hands.
I nodded my head in agreement, “here.” I grabbed my baby transponder snail out of my bag, handing it to her.
She looked at me confused, “a snail? What do I need this for?” She asked oblivious to what it is.
“It’s a transponder snail. You can make or receive calls from it.” I told her explaining it as best as I could and she just blinked down at it in astonishment.
“No, Katakuri told me these were mimickers." She whispered to herself but I shook my head no, "in a way they are but they mimick our own voices as we talk through them."
She grew silent for a moment as she wore a blank expression on her face. "Does everyone know you can use this to make calls?” She looked at me blankly but her eyes were begging me to say no.
I hesitated for a moment but I nodded my head and instantly a darkness evaporated off her skin. For a split second I thought she was going to attack me when I saw the rage and anguish burning in her eyes.
It took all my strength not to flinch in response to her fury but she treaded away as the water steamed off the bottom of her feet with every step she took and her long hair flowed up into the air in a vigorous manner.
She was seeking retribution and I was relieved that her rage wasn’t directed towards me.
