Chapter 12

"See? It was worth it to come here!"

Ludwig just rolled his eyes at me. Then again, he did have a forkfull of food in his mouth, so there really wasn't another option. He swallowed.

"Yeah, fair enough."

My mouth spread into a wide smile as he continued eating. No one could resist good food.

As Ludwig finished off the bowl, I took it from his hands and washed it in the sink, humming as I went. When I had done, I snuck back through into the living room as quietly as possible, ready to pounce.

"I can see you there." Ludwig said, and as I glanced at him I saw a little smirk on his face.

Oh my God. A smirk. Ludwig. Smirking.

One word can sum this up: perfect.

"Aww..." I pouted. "I wanted to sneak up on you!"

"Good luck with that." Ludwig smirked.

"Hehe... Attack!" I screamed, jumping on the couch and wrapping my arms around Ludwig, and securing my legs around his torso.

"Feli- ah!"

I couldn't stop giggling from the look on his face. It was a mixture of surprise, anger, and most of all, confusion.

"Feliciano..."

"What?"

"How do I deal with you?"

"Hmm... provide me with popcorn and a blanket and probably a movie and I'm good."

"Does that mean I have to get you those things?"

"No, no. You're the guest so make yourself comfy, yada yada."

I disentangled myself and Ludwig and literally rolled off the sofa, crawling over to the massive cupboard that held all my movies.

"So... not Disney." I laughed, moving aside all the animated classics.

"I thought we already watched them all?" Ludwig said sarcastically.

"Oi, badmouth Disney and you're dead. Okay... oh!"

"What's up?"

"Let's watch a horror film!"

"Oh no..."

"Oh yes! Why, are you scared?"

"No. I don't get scared."

"Hm. We'll see if that statement is true."

Sliding my hand over the many cases, my index finger came to rest on a certain film: The Counjering.

"No."

I pouted across at Ludwig, who appeared to be deadeyeing the box.

"Why not?"

"I... fine."

Smirking at my victory, I turned on the TV and slid the disc in, and as I waited for it to load.

As I did, I sauntered into the kitchen, grabbing everything I could eat, and put it all down in the living room.

"We set?"

"Two seconds." I muttered, while entering the kitchen again. When I came back, I had a glass in one hand and a bottle of red wine in the other. Ludwig raised an eyebrow.

"What?" I asked. "I'm 22, you know."

"You are?"

"Rude."

Turning off the lights and pouring myself a glass, I settled down next to Ludwig on the sofa.

-----------------------------------

"Never again."

"Luddy-"

"No."

"But Ludwig-"

"Nope."

"Luddy!"

"What?"

"It wasn't that bad."

"Shut up."

"Why? Were you actually that scared?"

"That was the first time I've hidden behind someone since I was three. So yes, it's safe to say I'm scared."

"Well, if it makes you feel better, I was kind of scared too."

"Yes, but you're also drunk."

"Am not!"

"Are too."

"Am not! If anything, I'm just a bit tipsy."

"You sure."

"Sì... mi fratello always says that if you are drunk you can tell because you feel like falling over and I'm not on the floor yet so..."

"You're sitting down!"

"And? Mmm... Luddy..."

"What?"

Without even thinking, I let out an uncontrolable giggle. It bubbled up in my stomach, and made it's way up to my head as it burst from my lips. Slowly, I lay my head on Ludwig's chest, without even realizing.

"Ah- Feliciano..."

Again, the little bursts of giggles kept coming, until I was clutching my sides from stitch.

"Luddy...heehee...he..ha..."

"Why are you laughing?" Ludwig asked, with a hint of a smile.

"I... don't know? I..."

"You're drunk."

"Noooo..."

"Yeeees..."

"Oh nooo, I'm not."

"What?"

"You're meant to say, oh yes you are!"

"Uhm. Oh yes you are!"

"Oh no I'm not!"

"Yes, you definatley are."

"Mnmmmmm...."

Suddenly, I heard a sigh, and the figure next to me stood up. With one fell movement, I was swept into the arms of the blonde German, where I felt I could do nothing more than wrap my arms around his neck, and rest my head on his shoulder.

"What are you doing?" I mumbled softly, and I felt him shiver as my breath tickled his skin.

"Getting you to bed." Was the stoic reply from Ludwig.

Instead of speaking again, I simply nodded and his my face in the crook of Ludwig's neck, allowing my eyelids to droop a little. However, as my eyes closed, I suddenly became very aware of the presence that the two strong arms had on me.

Ludwig wasn't being nescisaraly inapropriate- not at all- but maybe it was the way he carried me with such ease. At such a close range, I could actually feel Ludwig, feel his arms holding me up and his muscles tensing a litttle, and the strands of his bright blonde hair that had fallen down brushing against my cheek.

Tonight he was definatley softer than usual.

"This is the bedroom, right?" Ludwig asked, and I nodded in response.

As the door swung open, I was met with a sense of familiarity as the three soft orange walls and the one feature wall leapt at me as if to say hello. I smiled as I smelt the homely candle scents and the slight background hint of flowers. This way my room, from the big sunset feature wall to the messiness of the wardrobe.

"Orange, huh?" A familiar German asked as he glanced around the room.

I nodded. "It's my favourite colour."

"Yeah, it suits you."

I smiled weakly as my body made contact with the soft bedsheets that Ludwig had graciously pulled back for me. The slightly worn out texture made me take a deep breath in to admire the feeling of the room.

"Do you have pyjamas or...?"

"Mm? Pyjamas... are... there!" I said, scanning the room.

In all honesty, they weren't anything special. No silk or buttons. No, my sleepwear consisted of a pair of black pyjama bottoms, but nevermind that. The thing is, my pyjamas were the softest thing possible, and they were the best to snuggle up in.

"Oh, but what about you?" I asked, as I turned away from the blonde to slip my shirt off.

A few breif moments stretched by as I myself, also stretched my back and arms.

"Ludwig?" I asked, looking back at the German.

"Ah- oh, yeah, sorry. What?"

Ludwig blushed, turning away from me and coughing a little. How cute. He was flustered.

"Yeah, I'll um, leave you to it?" He blushed.

Rolling my eyes, I ran over to the other side of the room where the door was and kicked it shut. Taking Ludwig's hands, I pulled him further into the room.

"No, you're sleeping here."

"But aren't you sleeping here?"

"Yes. Your point being?"

"I'm not going to sleep with you! Wait, no-"

And with that one line, my side flared up in pain again as I physically laughed until it hurt. In the end, I was literally on the floor clutching my side, with tears streaming down my face.

"Oh mio dio..." I said through heavy breaths.

"I didn't mean it like that!"

"I know, but the ultimate regret when you reliazed what you just said..."

"Shut up, Feliciano."

"Nah, I'd prefer to talk, thanks."

Slowly, I pulled myself off the floor and lay back on the bed, letting the cushy pastel orange sheets envelop me.

"C'mon." I smiled, beckoning Ludwig over.

"Really, Feliciano?" He answered.

All I could do was smile weakly and pat the space next to me. "I don't snore."

Sighing- and presumably giving up- Ludwig sauntered over to the bed and tentitivley sat down on the side. Rolling my eyes, I wrapped one of my arms around his thick figure and pulled him down onto the covers.

"There you go." I giggled.

"Yeah, yeah." Ludwig sighed, and the slightest hint of a smile washed over his usually stoic face.

"You look pretty when you smile."

"You're drunk."

"Mmm... maybe so."
