"My baby is back with that women beater, she's not listening to us anymore"

The mother said sadly to Yugi and Atemu who sadly looked at the situation Ava was put in.

"As you know, we are Ava's adopted parents but we love her as she was our own. She came from a abusive family where she thinks it's okay be abuse"

The father explain.

"So who did it?"

The mother asked taking a step towards Atemu and Yugi.

"What?"

Atemu asked.

"We didn't do anything"

Yugi said.

"I mean who broked her again? She was just fine but someone got to her"

She said angrily. Yugi and Atemu didn't know what to say, for a moment there was a brief silence until Ava spoke up with a giggle.

"Oh Mom, no one got to me. I just wasn't thinking straight"

Ava said hugging her mom. The mother welcomed the hug with tears. The mother gently pushed Ava away to look into her daughter's eyes.

"You searched for love in the wrong place"

The mother said sadly.

"What I do, is not your concern, Mother. You are not my keeper and you never will be"

"Ava how could you say such a thing?"

Yugi asked in shock.

'This is the Ava I no longer recognized or maybe it was but I was just too blind to see it'

He thought sadly.

"Whether you like it or not you are still our child and our first priority"

The father said sternly.

"Did you press charges?"

Atemu asked.

"We tried but it was Ava's decision and refuse to go through with it"

The mother said sadly. Ava shook her head as she made her way to sit back on the couch. Yugi slowly made his way to her and was about to speak but Atemu placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Let me try"

He said as he pulled the coffee table in between him and Ava.

"We're gonna duel, is that alright?"

He asked causing Ava to smile as she took out her deck along with Atemu.

"You said your a fan right?"

"Yeah, so"

"So will you listen to your idol while we duel or will you listen to your cold heart?"

He asked causing Ava to look to him in surprise.

"You want me to do two things at once?"

She asked.

"Can you?"

He asked as he placed one card down in front of him. Ava smiled as she draw her card.

"Your mind can be filled others opinions and options but your heart is untouchable"

Yugi said quietly distracting Ava as she lost a few of her life points. Ava shook her head as she tried to focus once again. Atemu made his next move as Yugi continued to speak to her.

"You know going back to Matt was a bad move"

Yugi said as the parents stood around to listen to the conversation.

"I have no meaning"

She said placing a card down in defense mode.

"You're not attacking"

Atemu said as he notice as Ava kept playing in defense.

"You need to be brave"

He said quietly.

"It's hard, what if I'm not strong enough to hold my ground. I couldn't hold my ground with Tea"

She said softly as he placed another card in defense mode.

"What did she say to you?"

Yugi asked in concern.

"I'm too easy"

She said as she lost more life points.

"Stand your ground. Fight back"

Atemu said trying to cope Ava to attack his monster.

"You have the higher ground right now, attack"

He said as he notice Ava's monster has more attack points then his leaving him in the open but Ava refused to attack.

"You have to believe, believe in the heart of the cards and yourself"

Yugi said motivating Ava as she switched her Monster to attack mode and struck Atemu's monster as he lost a few life points. Ava smiled slightly.

"You can do it, if you put your mind to it. I'm your fan Ava"

Yugi said softly causing Ava to slightly blush as her mind got side track but continued to stay focus on the game. Atemu smirk as he could Yugi was getting through to Ava.

"If you can’t understand the darkness in your opponent’s heart, you will never understand the pain and suffering of others"

Atemu said causing Ava to look to him in surprise before smiling herself as she looked to the cards in her hand.

"If you worship something enough, random chance suddenly becomes the will of all-powerful, supernatural forces"

Atemu said. Yugi smiled as he got closer to Ava's ear.

"What Atemu means is if someone believes hard enough in something, they can turn their luck into something more powerful"

He said. Ava smiled up at Atemu as she heard Yugi loud and clear.

"I will"

She said as she put another monster in attack mode causing Atem to lose more life points.

"If there's a will then there is hope"

He said as he draw one last card causing Ava to lose but with price of bringing her back to reality.

"Thank you"

She said quietly to Atemu. She then look to Yugi with a smile.

"Thank you"

She said once more before looking to her parents and happily embrace them with tears.

"I'm sorry"

"No sweety, don't be. We're just glad your back to your senses"

The father said proudly as he looked to Yugi and Atemu.

"Thank you"

Yugi and Atemu proudly nodded.

"Now, who is this Tea person?"

The mother asked angrily.

"A girl with a bad mojo"

Ava said before making her way to Yugi.

"Your my fan?"

She asked to him. Yugi blushed as he nodded.

"When I first saw you"

The parents happily smiled as they asked Atemu and Yugi to stay for dinner in return for helping them with Ava.

"So what are we gonna do about Tea?"

Ava asked around the table as they were eating pizza.

"It will do no good to fight with hate in your heart"

Atemu said. Ava smiled sheepishly.

"I know but she needs a taste of her own medicine"

"What about Matt?"

Yugi asked. Ava smiled at him.

"I'm completely done with him"

She said as her parents let out a sigh in relief.
