Annabeth

After a few more classes the day was finally over and  Thalia and me were talking while I put my books away in my locker.
"Annabeth. Are you going to be ok? You can come to my house again if you'd like."
"It's ok. I'm going to Percy's house actually."
I swear I heard a small squeal come from her mouth.
"I said I might have a crush. Not that I did. Hold the squealing please."
"Sorry. Sorry."
We both laughed before a certain someone came up behind me scaring me half to death.
"Hey Wise Girl."
"Ahh!" I jumped and leaned against a locker trying to catch my breath. Of course both of them burst out laughing at me.
"Don't do that!" I managed to breath out.
"You almost gave me a heart attack."
"Sorry. Just wanted to see if you were ready to go."
"Go where?" Thalia asked innocently.
"Just to my house."
"Ok. Cool. Cool."
We walked away and Thalia gave me a thumbs up behind us. Thalia isn't usually like this, but when she finds something cute she likes it. Although don't tell her I told you that. Please.

Percy

Me and Annabeth headed to my house as normal and walked inside.
And sitting at the table with a beer in hand and blue, green, and red poker chips was Gabe and his poker friends. I could tell he noticed me but I hoped that I could get Annabeth away soon. Even if I had to take a hit or two.
"Boy! Get me another bee-"
He looked up from his game and glared at me before his eyes turned to Annabeth and he looked her up and down. His other poker buddies did the same, one whistling as his eyes went down.
I grabbed her hand and could feel her pulse racing. I needed to get her out. Now.
"Who have you got here with you Percy?" Gabe's voice was raspy and slurred slightly as he stood, gesturing towards Annabeth.
"No one."
My voice was as stern as I could make it without it cracking from the fear of him touching Annabeth.
I tried to go out the door with her but he reached his hand to grab her already bruised wrist. I heard her whimper in pain. And her hand clenched mine as tight as it could.
"Leaving so soon are we? I think our guest should introduce herself." as he smiled his gold and silver teeth glistened and his breath was on her neck.
"Don't touch her."
He just stared at her with his grin. Before grabbing her waist.
I knocked him to the ground punching him in his gold tooth. He punched me back strait in the gut.
"Annabeth go!" I managed to get out.
I heard the door shut behind her before making Gabe unconscious and making a run for it myself.
After running out of the building, I found Annabeth crying on a nearby bench.
"Thank gods Percy!"
She wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in my shirt.
"I'm so sorry Annabeth. I- I has no idea he was going to be back today I- I'm so sorry."
We sat there for a moment. Just hugging. Holding eachother. It felt good to have her near me, not with Gabe or Luke. And not with Gabbie. Just me.
She was safe, and that's all that mattered at the moment. She pulled away and looked at my tear soaked shirt.
"Sorry."
She looked at the ground and wiped her face with her sleeve.
"It's fine Wise Girl. Are you ok?"
"Yea, I'm fine." She looked back at me with red eyes.
"Since my house is off limits you wanna go to Starbucks or something?"
"I'd like that a lot Seaweed Brain."
Her smile returned and we walked the few blocks to Starbucks.
"Before we go in I call dibs on paying."
"No. You got into that mess because of me. I'm paying."
"And you got hurt because of me! I'm paying."
And with that she went inside.

We both ordered and got our drinks.
"That will be 8 dollars."
She tried to pull her card out but I had secretly got it out in advance and put it in my pocket so I would win this. I was prepared.
The barista took my card, swiped it then said,
"Have a nice day." in a bored tone.
We went to sit down and we talked for hours it felt. Watching cars go by, and just having fun. Before we knew it, it was dark and the shop was closing.
"We should get going."
"I didn't realize it was this late already."

We walked out and the fall air felt cold as ice.
She grabbed my hoodie from around her waist and held it out for me. The stain was still present but it looked more pink then red now.
"I couldn't get the stain out completely. Sorry."
"It's fine. Aren't you cold?"
"Well it's your hoodie after all. Thought you were cold too."
I grabbed the hoodie and put it on.
"Step one check."
"What exactly is step two?"
I smirked.
"This."
I wrapped my arms around her and gave her the tightest hug I could.
"What are you doing?"
"Warming you up."
She just laughed.
"Come on Seaweed Brain. We should head home."

Annabeth (again)

That night we snuck into my house, past the sleeping Gabbie, and into my room where we got blankets and pillows before heading into our tree.
"Safe and sound. No Gabbie, and no Gabe."
We had also taken my laptop outside to watch Perry Jonson And The Lightning Thief. Before we both agreed that the movie was nowhere near as good as the book.

But before the movie ended I heard a small snore come from Percy and just a tiny bit of drool trickled down his mouth. He came close to me and rested his head on mine, and wrapped his arm around my shoulder with his other holding my purple wrist.
I scooted close and put my head on his chest. My eyes grew heavy and closed and before I knew it I was sound asleep in his arms, blissfully sleeping.
