A Project

Percy

Ms. Dodds scowled as we walked in to the classroom, red as roses, with tears in our eyes as we laughed. We took our seats as her glare never came off of us, and our laughs slowly died out into small smiles.

"Glad  your enjoying your day but this is a school. Settle down please Mr. Jonson. And you, Ms. Cheeze."
Annabeth sighed at the name while some boys in the back looked her up and down while smirking while there girlfriends gave snickers and glares.
Ms. Dodds passed out a white sheet of paper with some info about a pairs project. I looked over at Annabeth and she was reading intensely and smiling.

"This project will be 50% of your grade." Ms. Dodds started grumbling, looking annoyed with all of us. "You will have  three weeks. Turn it in late and its a zero. Your all big kids now. You can handle it. Read the packet and partner up in pairs as you please. If there is a problem I will choose your partners for you, am I clear?"
"Yes ma'am." We all muttered in unison.

"Good. You may start dividing yourselves up now. Keep it quiet. Or else." Her voice rasped snake like as she stared at the class, before sitting down in her chair and it deflating a bit from her weight.
Annabeth turned to me.
"You wanna partner for the project? I don't wanna get stuck with one of the guys in the back."
I looked back at them, all googly eyed. I wanted to punch them all. Wanted to yell, "Stop staring you creeps! You have girlfriends! Get a life!" but that wouldn't work. Instead, I looked back at Annabeth.
"Of course. I wouldn't want to be stuck with one of their girlfriends either. Yikes."
She laughed, and we planned to meet after school at my house because if I knew Gabe, he was out on a poker run at a local casino, and wouldn't be back until 12:00 at least. And my mom would be home. A perfect day for a study date. No beatings necessary.

Annabeth

After almost dying after first period, looking over the project, planning a study date, and talking for a while, lunch was painfully slow to come. But eventually the bell rang.
Me and Percy practically raced out the door and down the hall to lunch where everyone was sitting and talking. Thalia took sight of me and waved both of us over.
"Hey Guys what's happening? Don't tell me it's the llama issue again." I asked as I sat down by Thalia, and Percy following next to me on my right.
"The guys are about to have a food fight. We are trying to convince them otherwise." Piper answered.
"Why exactly?"
"Leo stole Jason's chicken nugget."
Percy gasped and clenched his heart.
"How dare he betray my brother!? Wrongs must be righted!"
Laughing, I grabbed his shoulder. "Isn't he your husband now?"
"Even worse! You will deserve what's coming to you matchstick."
Leo smirked. "What ya gunna do about it Water Boy?"
Percy grabbed a chicken nugget. "This."

I know this is a short (and badly written) chapter and it has taken forever but I had to overcome the monster that is writing block and have been really busy for some tests coming up. Thank you so SO much for reading and have an amazing day loves! (Who do you think will win the nugget war? Leave comments if u want. Just curious.)
