Alex was on summer vacation, and makes an abrupt decision after her long time boyfriend (Derek) and her break up, that she is going to take a road trip.

But on her trip a crossed the states of the USA she meets someone, his name is Alec Always.

Alec needs space, his Dad owns a multibillion dollar corporation and he is expected to take it on and run it. But it really isn't what Alec wants. So he decides the summer before he starts University that he is going to leave, just for the summer. and travel a crossed the States.

Alec and Alex meet on a bus out of Buffalo, they hit it of right away. And knowing that they both want to do the same thing they start to travel together. As their friendship grows stronger Alec realizes that he has fallen in love. But how can they make it work? Shes from Canada and he is from the states. What happens at the end of the summer?
