1 year later 🫶🏾.

it has been to years since jackie and jazz got married. their marriage still going strong & everyone could see the shift in them.

jackie who was set to give birth any day now everyone loved seeing the feminine side of her and excited to see her be a mom.

and ofc she is lay's mom as well but you get the point. lay was now 7. and in the timeframe of two years jazz could see the change in her daughter

she was still that happy go lucky girl, but the fact that her daughter had health issues weigh down on them. but lately her body has been a happy as it can be.

"more pineapples ma ?" i asked my pregnant wife. she looked at me and giggled.

"yes, he's got cravings" she said making me chuckle.

"are you nervous about giving birth ?" i asked interlocking our fingers.

"oh absolutely, cus i had my heart set on the fact that i did not wanna push no baby out my vagina but here i am" she said laughing.

"well just know, as soon as they lay him on yo chest for the first time it'll all be worth it" i said kissing her cheek.

"can i have one ?" i asked. i only wanted to see if she would share cus iykyk pregnant people don't play bout they food nor do they wanna share.

"um.. sure" she hesitated making me laugh.

"im kidding love i just wanted to see if you were gonna share lol. thank you tho" i said making her giggle.

"you look so beautiful all pregnant and stuff" i said making her blush.

"thank you boo. im so glad you think so cus this will not be happening again" she said making me laugh.

a few seconds later lay came downstairs. she's visibly way taller than she was last year. but genetics im assuming cus im 6'1 and her dad somewhere around the same height.

im definitely not to fund of seeing my baby grow up at all & time is going by so fast.

"how was your nap love ?" i asked putting her on my lap.

"good" she yawned. she smiled at jackie's bump and touched it.

"hi brother" she said making us smile at each other.

"omg he kicked" she squealed making me chuckle. i felt him kick 2x and my heart melted. i can't wait for baby boy to get here.

"mama you're so big and beautiful" she said making jackie smile.

"thank you so much baby.. i really appreciate it" she said with a chuckle.

"bae im hungry" jack said.

"trust me i know it" i said making her scoff and lightly push me.

"hey don't be mean.. im eating for 2" she said making me laugh.

"lol im messing mama. what you want ?" i asked.

lord please don't let it be one of her nasty a** pregnancy cravings. cus what she crave be sick asf fr.

"chic-fil-a" she said making me exhale.

"okay let's go pretty" i said as lay jumped down from my lap. i helped her up and admire her. although she's pregnant she still had toned legs and toned arms.

her lashes & hair were freshly done and she had that pregnancy glow weather you believe it or not. and she always talked about how she didn't want kids and now look at her.

she having my baby and ik i was gone be able to change her mind. all jokes aside im glad i did cus i wouldn't want it any other way.

"im so tired of being big asf omg" she whined.

"lol you're almost there mama. give him time he's coming" i said as we headed to chic-fil-a.

"omg you look so beautiful. it's almost time for baby boy im so excited" tip said as everyone took the time to feel him kick.

"he's gonna be so spoiled by us" ac said making me chuckle.

"im already knowing lol." i said shaking my head.

"aww my baby i cannot wait to meet him" becky said making me smile.

"you're gonna be such an amazing mommy" kp said.

"thank youu kp" i smiled at her and she nodded.

"a'ja you gotta come feel him, he's kicking its so cute" chelsea said making me look over at her.

she was on the other end of the court working on her handles. she dropped the basketball and walked over to us. she looked at me and i nodded at her.

"omg" she whispered.

"does it hurt ?" syd asked.

"hyy lol. he kicking tf out my bladder" i said shaking my head.

"and finally got his hardheaded ahh into breach position" i said laughing.

"so amazing" a'ja whispered.

you would think a'ja would be happy as h*ll and bouncing off walls about me being pregnant and she was.. until she found out that the team new before her.

she was in paris when i planned on telling her and i was gonna tell her before i told the rest of the team but queen noticed my bump & that my face was puffy & they figured it out.

so they ended knowing before she did and she showed her a** about it. i understand cus we're best friends and she's been waiting for this day for forever but i never told them before her.

"a'ja can i talk to you after practice ?" i asked.

"uh huh" she said before going back to shoot.

"im sorry jack.. i didn't know she didn't know" queen said.

"its fine, im so glad you can't hold hot water" i said shaking my head.

the only person that knew was queen and when she figured it out she went and opened her mouth to the whole team & somehow it got back to a'ja who was in paris.

after practice i waited for a'ja and when she finally came out we walked side by side.

"a'ja he's gonna be here any minute now. i need you" i said.

"and you have me. ian going nowhere" she said nonchalantly.

"yeah i need you need you. you half a**ing ts" i said making her laugh.

"did you forget you the one who basically betrayed me ???" she asked making me huff.

"i never told them i was pregnant a'ja. queen figured ts out and she couldn't keep her d*** mouth shut so she told the team and it got back to you".

"i was waiting for you to get back from paris to tell you i wanted to tell you in person cus ik how important it would be to you. had a whole gift basket for you but you ahh was being salty" i said.

"look im tired and training be draining me so i'll see you later" she exhaled.

"girl we grown asf and you being childish over nothing. but do you. it lemme know how you really act when you mad and since you can't talk to me don't even bother showing up" i said.

"girl f*** you. these are my feelings lol. and you was pregnant before i went to paris so you really could've told me then so wtf now ??" she yelled.

"but don't worry i won't be there since that's how tf you feel cus excuse me for having feelings" she said making as tears filled my eyes.

"a'ja i didn't mean that bro" i whispered.

"nah f*** ts" she said aggressively opening the door before walking to her car. i shook my head and wiped my tears.

"hey don't stress it, she's just drained from all that training yk she'll come around" kp said hugging me.

i knew that once it got out to a'ja that i was pregnant that she would be p*ssed but i didn't actually think it would take her so long to come around and forgive me even tho i never told the team before her.
