i heard knocking on the door making me slowly stir from my sleep. the time read 9:05 am. and i rarely ever sleep til 9 but i was so tired.

looking down, i watched as lay slept peacefully on my chest. lord im not gone be able to move fulling around with her.

they knocked again making me sigh.. i really had hope that whoever is would go away but i guess not. i lightly moved lay on the bed and she groaned gripping my shirt.

"i'll be back mama i promise" i whispered to her rubbing her back cus it always helps her gts. i got up and walked to the door where i saw jackie.

"oh it's you" i said making her laugh.

"im sorry ma.. did i wake you up ?? you never sleep past 8:15-8:30 so i didn't think you were still sleeping" she said.

"it's fine.. i was just tired from that plane right and everything" i said shutting the door and she nodded.

"lay still sleeping ??" she asked.

"yeah, but she'll probably be up in a few cus she's clingy and she's gonna notice im not beside her" i said as i went and grabbed my toothbrush & toothpaste.

"well i came to spend time with you guys cus ion have a practice until 12:30" she said and i nodded brushing my teeth.

"morning mama" i heard making me look down at lay who hugged my leg. she's most definitely still sleeping.

"good morning beautiful" i said as i finished brushing my teeth. i did my skincare routine and fixed my hair.

"hey pretty girl" jack said making her get up and run to her. slowly ofc cus she still isn't awake 100 percent yet.

"jack jack.. i missed you" she said as jack picked her up.

"i missed you more my baby" jack replied.

"you hungry ??" i asked lay and she nodded resting her head on jackie's shoulder.

i ordered us breakfast and lay went to grab her coloring book and crayons. im glad that my daughter is hands on and doesn't need electronics .

jackie sat down beside me interlocking our fingers. she's so beautiful and i think that her and lay being besties makes it easier.

"i missed you" she said straddling my lap making me smirk at her.

"i know it.. you can't go to long without me" i teased making her scoff and laugh.

"yeah, yeah, don't be so full of yourself" she said.

"im kidding i missed you more tho" i said gripping her neck pulling her down to meet my lips.

"you better stop.. it ain't no shy jackie around here" she said against my lips.

"ikk and i love seeing the freak side of you.. the side no one really sees cus it's behind that fake innocence" i said.

"girl dont dtm" she said giggling.

"you so beautiful" i said slipping my fingers inside of her. i could feel her body jump.

"mm f*** thank you baby. but we have a 3 year old here" she said pushing my chest making me take my fingers out.

"mommy i can't find my crayons" lay said making jack get off my lap.

"foods here.. you go get her crayons and i'll get the food" jackie said and i nodded.

i walked to the room and grabbed them for her making her smile.

"thanks mommy" she said running into the living room.

"ofc my love" i said walking behind her.

i think getting out of lv for a minute will be so good for me especially after everything that went down with my business and stuff.

"BESTIE" i heard making me look up where i saw a'ja. she ran into my arms making me hug her tightly.

"girl you looked so gorgeous for them pics i was like omg my bestie in miami cutting up" she said in one breath making me giggle.

"thank you love.. but please don't die and breathe" i said making her take a deep breath before exhaling.

"we should go eat.. ik plane food is not good and practice just ended" i said and she nodded.

"okay but i wanna take this to the airbnb" she said and i nodded. we got a uber to take us there and then he dropped us off at the restaurant.

"so how's it going ??" she asked as we looked at the menu.

"it's amazing.. i haven't stopped smiling yet. it's just so energetic and so genuine. and i love my team they are amazing and the way we hype each other up, the team chemistry is so strong already" i explained.

"i love that for you bookie" she said.

"i appreciate you.. but how are you ??" i asked.

"good. damian's keeping me happy ofc" she said blushing making me laugh.

"aww period, as he should.. im so happy for you bestie. and having someone as amazing as him after putting up with sh** you ain't deserve will definitely heal you" i said.

"thank you stink" she said exhaling. i watched as she looked around i could tell she was nervous but i didn't wanna be pushy.

"you okay ?" i asked.

"ohh yeah.. just looking and stuff. yk we rarely get to come to miami so" she said.

"a'ja.. you're worried about bam ?? he's not gonna hurt you" i said making her look at me.

"ik but seeing him might make me crashout fr. like what would i even do if he saw me ?" she said.

"do what you do best. be a b****" i said making her gasp. i laughed lightly and shook my head.

"i'm so sorry that came wrong, i did not mean it like that" i said between laughs.

"yeah cus thanks so much" she joked.

"look what im trying to say is.. you don't play when it comes to someone disrespects you. so do what you do best and let bam know what it is"

"he ain't gone do nun but run his mouth. you gotta lay down the law with him and let him know this ain't that and that you ain't going for that" i said.

"yeah, so bring out the old a'ja" she said making me laugh and nod.

"h*ll yeah. ik you said new year, new you and you were gonna ignore the ignorance and not respond but bam irritating asf and you gotta let him know for him to understand" i said.

"i got you" she said as we ordered our food.

"so is jazz and lay here ?" a'ja asked.

"yeah, they got here yesterday" i said smiling.

"i love this life for you.. you got a good women, you're happy & you and kb's chemistry is amazing. you both healed so well" she said making me smile at her.

"aww thank you bestie.. that means a lot and i do appreciate you being here for me cus ik that i was being a mad a** at times but yk i got so much love for you" i said.

"always, besides i gotta make sure you good so you'll always be in the mood to throw a** to me" she said making me laugh out loud.

literally, these folks in this restaurant was looking at me like i lost my mind lol. i did not expect that but then again i did cus a'ja unhinged asf all the time.

"lol you're unhinged boo. yk i got you tho. if i can't flirt with my best friend and act like we f*** then who else can i do it with" i said.

"PERIOD" a'ja said making me shake my head.

yall 2025 has been amazing for me so far. ya girl happy as h*ll lol. and tbh i hope that this wave a happiness come for jazz to cus it's always back2back hits for her.
