i was scared to ask just because ik jazz is from New Orleans and she got family there. and just by the way she was acting it seem like sb she close with was hit or affected.

"nah she good" she said.

"that's good.. we off to a bad start already.. definitely praying for their families cus that's sad and traumatizing asf" i said.

"my co-worker done messed some stuff up so now i gotta go through ts and fix it." she said exhaling as she looked at her laptop.

"okay um how about you grab your colors and coloring book kiare would love too."

"mommy's just dealing with a lot right now and as soon as she's done she would love to color with you" i said.

she looked at me and nodded before going to her room. i texted kiare and asked her if she could come get lay and take her to get ice cream cus jazz is overstimulated asf.

not long after kiare came to pick up lay who was really excited to see her and really excited about going to get ice cream.

"no but as soon as i touch down i'm beating yo a**.  carless asf bro ion understand how you could accidentally delete something so big"

"been doing ts since i was 18 just for you to ruin ts bro. you're f*cking done bro" she said before hanging up slamming her phone down.

she exhaled and sat her phone down before walking to her room not saying anything.

"is everything okay ?" i asked following her.

"baby tell me what's going on with you. who was that and why you won't talk to me" i said.

"it was my co-worker" she said making me stare at her.

"and what did she say ?" i asked.

"ykw give me this" i said taking her laptop and phone.

"i got stuff to do gimme my sh** back jackie" jazz told me.

"not until you tell me what's going on." i said.

"you can't get it back ?? like it's gone gone.?" i asked.

"no ts is gone. deleted so it's either i shut down my business or i gotta start from the beginning and im not doing ts" jazz said.

"im so sorry baby" i said hugging her.

"man i spent so much time bro. since i was 18 i missed out on so much of my life.. i sacrificed some of the most important days of my daughters life. ts drained tf out of me".

"atp 2025 can kiss my a**" she said aggressively making me stare at her. i had no words cus she just took a big hit but i just wanna be able to comfort her.

"are you gonna shut it down ?" i asked.

"hyyy im not doing ts all over again oms" she said.

"this is a h*ll of a start to a new year" she said as i hugged her tightly.

"ain't it tho. but i trust God and he definitely got us covered." i said and she nodded.

i walked into lay's room where i saw her practicing her letters and stuff.

"wyd ?" i asked.

"practicing in my book my teacher gave me" she said not looking up. she definitely don't fw me right now lol.

"well i need to talk to you" i said sitting down beside lightly taking her book.

"i'm sorry i yelled at you. i was under so much stress tryna figure some stuff out but yk i didn't mean it" i said.

"yeah ik" her little voice said.

"okay so can you please forgive mommy ? i promise to color with you and you can have all the strawberries you want" i said making her giggle.

she stood up and hugged me wrapping her arms around my neck.

"i forgive you mommy" she said as i kissed her cheek. i could hear her stomach growl.

"someone's hungry" i teased making her giggle. i picked her up and carried her to the kitchen sitting her down.

a few seconds later i heard a knock on the door making me look up.

"i'll be back" i said handing her my phone. i walked to the door and looked through the peep hole to see jackie. i unlocked it and let her in.

"hey i missed you" she said slapping my butt making me mug her.

"girl don't do that. ever" i said making her laugh and shake her head.

"so do you even counsel anymore ??" she asked.

"yes, i just got a new patient last week." i said and she nodded.

"hi jack jack" lay said as we walked into the kitchen.

"hey my beautiful baby" jack said as she gave her kisses all over her face making her giggle.

"mommy says that she's in wuv with you" lay said making me shake my head laugh.

"you so messy. you're literally 3 telling my business" i said.

"ohh really that's what she said ??" jack asked. she having a field day with this one.

"mhm" lay said as she ate her strawberries. literally with no care in the world yall omg lol.

"why you telling my business" i asked rolling my eyes.

"and she said that you have a huge forehead" she said making me gasp and cover my mouth as i looked down.

"oh really you said that jazmyn samaj ?" she asked.

"that's mean" she said laughing.

"i know im sced" i said laughing.

"what you wanna eat mama ?" i asked her.

"noodles ?" i asked and she nodded.

"okay lemme have these" i said the strawberries making her groan and whine.

"you keep eating these you gone get full" i said making her stare at me with a blank stare and roll her eyes.

"ohh girl you done p*ssed her off" jack said.

"did you just roll yo eyes at me ?" i asked laughing. i went behind her to fix her hair and she swatted my hands.

"mm mm" she said.

"dang i was tryna fix yo hair now you don't want me touching you" i said in shock.

i fixed her noodles and sat them in front of her and she stared at me before looking down at her food making jack and i laugh.

"ionk why she don't like me i did nun to her" i said.

"lol she do not mess with you jazz" jackie said through laughs making me side eye her.

we sat down at the island and we were tryna figure out what we wanted to eat. i was gone cook what lay wanted but she wanted noodles.
