Taehyung came for dinner just as he promised and Jungkook joined him again like he did with lunch. Anyway the diner is much less crowded for dinner.

They talked and talked about many things. Jungkook was slowly turning back to his bubbly self and it was so gratifying for Taehyung to see.

Taehyung waited till Jungkook is finished with his work and took him home, going really slow, just like Jungkook asked.

"So... I'll see you tomorrow?" Jungkook asked as he got down from the bike.

"Yeah. Is 10 o'clock ok for you?"

"You don't have to do that. I can stay in the tech shop till the diner opens. Doesn't your work start earlier than that?"

"Nuh... I sorted it out with Yugyeom. I'll come late and leave late. That way I can take you to work and I won't have to stay in the diner for long."

"Ah... ok."

"And besides, didn't you say you won't come to the tech shop again?" Taehyung asked teasingly.

"I was just joking. You don't have to do this." Jungkook muttered while looking down.

"It's ok baby. Don't worry about it. This is easier for me too." Taehyung said as he held Jungkook's face in one hand and stroked his jaw with his thumb.

"Alright then. Good night." Jungkook closed his eyes and tilted his face up for his forehead kiss.

Taehyung hesitated for few seconds before placing a soft peck on Jungkook's lips. Jungkook's eyes shot open in surprise and Taehyung looked at him cautiously.

"Is it too early? Uhhh..." Taehyung said uncertainty, slightly panicking.

Jungkook didn't say anything but continued to look at Taehyung with wide, shocked eyes.

"Hey, I'm sorry, I didn't meant to make you uncomfortable or anything. Shit!! I should have asked if it was okay first. I'm sorr-"

"Stop!"

Taehyung looked at Jungkook who looked like he's angry and looked down in apparent shame.

"How dare you give me a kiss like that, Damn it. I need a proper one."

"W-what?" Taehyung raised his head in surprise.

"Kiss me properly Taehyung. God knows I've waited long enough!!"

Taehyung put his hand around Jungkook's waist and pulled the boy with a force, making Jungkook clash on to the elder's chest. He raised his other hand to grab Jungkook's tomato red face and tilted it before connecting their lips.

Jungkook felt lightheaded and as if thousands of butterflies flying in his stomach. His legs buckled under him and he was sure he would have fallen to the ground if Taehyung wasn't holding him by his waist.

Soon, too soon, Taehyung pulled back. Jungkook had his eyes closed and didn't open it even when Taehyung loosened his grip on Jungkook's waist.

"So... you were waiting for it?"

Jungkook snapped his eyes open to see Taehyung smirking at him. He didn't answer and looked down, feeling mortified.

"Hmmm... answer me!!" Taehyung leaned forward and growled near Jungkook's ear.

Jungkook gulped and answered. "Y-yes"

"How long?"

Taehyung was trailing a path from Jungkook's ear to jaw with his nose and Jungkook found it very difficult to gather his thoughts enough to answer.

"How long baby?" Taehyung whispered again.

"F-from t-the day I saw y-you f-first." Jungkook whispered back.

Taehyung stiffened for a second. His heart ached at the thought of how he has made Jungkook suffer a lot. But now is not the time to dwell on it.

"That long huh..??" Taehyung pulled back to look at the flustered boy in his arms.

"Yeah. I called Jimin and asked him to come and meet my future husband actually." Jungkook said with a shy smile.

"Oh Kookie... I'm sorry for hurting you baby. You have no idea how much I regret it now." Taehyung said as he stroked Jungkook's cheek again.

Jungkook could see both regret and sincerity in Taehyung's face.

"That's ok. I know now that you had your reasons, however stupid they might be. I'm just glad you came around." Jungkook said with a smile.

"Me too, baby. Me too."

"The self-doubt was killing me. I couldn't figure out why you wouldn't even give me a chance. It didn't make sense for you to hate me when you don't know me at all."

"Oh baby, I didn't hate you. I could see how you felt about me from the first moment I saw you. And I knew I had to keep you away from me to keep you safe. I'm sorry Kookie. It was killing me too."

Jungkook looked close to crying and Taehyung pulled him back for a tight hug.

"But that's all in the past now. And if it really comes to that, I promise I'll do everything I can so that you'll be safe."

"I know. I'm not worried."

Taehyung pulled back and held Jungkook's by his arms and gave another kiss, a shorter one this time.

"Now go inside. I'll see you in the morning."

"Good night Taehyung."

"Good night baby."

Taehyung waited till Jungkook walked inside his house before going in to his own house.

Jungkook closed the door and leaned on it. He couldn't stop the huge grin from spreading through his face.

"So I guess it went well?" Jin's voice came from the sofa and Jungkook gave a little shriek.

"Hyung!! You scared me. What are you doing there?" Jungkook asked in a breathless voice.

"I was waiting for you to come home."

"Hyung I-I...uhh- " Jungkook stuttered while blushing furiously, although Jin couldn't see it due to poor lighting.

"No no. I don't want to know any details. I just wanted to make sure you are ok." Jin said quickly raised his hands in surrender. "That's all I want to know. Good night Kookie."

Jin stood up and started walking towards his room.

"I'm going out with Taehyung!!" Jungkook almost yelled, making Jin turn around in surprise.

"W-what?"

"Uhhh... yeah. We worked it out. H-he uhhh... had some reasons, shitty reasons, but valid I suppose, to push me away and uhhh... we got past them, I guess." Jungkook explained with a flustered face, looking straight at the floor.

"Valid reasons?" Jin asked cautiously.

"Yeah... stupid, valid reasons, for his side at least. But it's ok now."

"And you are ok with this?"

"Oh hyung!! I'm more than ok with this. I have never been this happy hyung." Jungkook whispered, finally looking at Jin.

Jin could see his brother's eyes shining with happiness and felt himself finally at peace. It was pure hell to see his baby brother suffering but not being able to do anything.

"I'm happy for you Kookie. I hope he won't hurt you again." Jin said with a soft smile.

"Oh you know he won't. Everyone knows."

"I have to agree. He's something else."

"That he is. Good night hyung."

"Good night Kookie."

Jungkook went to his bed after doing his night routine. As he slowly fell asleep, he thought about all that happened today and really felt the happiest in his life so far.

Tomorrow is going to be a new beginning and Jungkook could hardly wait.
