Jungkook was dressed and ready to go out and it was not even 7am in the morning. To tell the truth, he hasn't been able to sleep properly. He was exited and also equally scared.

Exited because of, well, obvious reasons. And scared because he still isn't sure whether Taehyung might change his mind again.

And he won't be able blame Taehyung because he understands him. It makes sense. If someone told him that he has to stay away from Taehyung or else the elder will die, Jungkook will definitely do that. No matter how hard it is.

Maybe Taehyung gave in because of everything that happened yesterday. He might have a change of heart after thinking calmly overnight. That's why Jungkook is even scared to hope. But he got ready to go out nevertheless.

Jungkook waited in his room till he heard his brother moving in the kitchen. He has to have breakfast or he will have to give a valid excuse to his brother.

Jungkook is sure that Jin will understand if he tell him the truth but Jungkook doesn't want to. Yet. If he said it aloud, he will not able to stop himself from believing. And if Taehyung has indeed changed his mind, Jungkook will be devastated.

So once he heard the sounds from the kitchen, Jungkook left his room.

"Good morning hyung." Jungkook greeted his brother.

"Kookie, why are you up and dressed so early? Are you going somewhere?" Jin asked with a surprised tone.

"Ah... yeah. I have to go early. There's some...uhhh... stuff that I have to do." Jungkook said without making eye contact with Jin.

"Ok... would you like to elaborate what exactly are these stuff that you have to do?" Jin asked with a smirk as he gave his breakfast.

Jungkook blushed in to a deep shade of pink and gave a shy smile to his brother. Jin raised his eyebrows at this unexpected response and waited for Jungkook's reply.

"Uhh... no. Not really. Just don't ask anything yet hyung." Jungkook said looking all shy. "If all goes well today, I'll tell you when I come home."

Jungkook gave a smile and Jin could see that it's not like the forced ones that boy had recently. It was a genuine, happy smile. This was the brother he used to have.

"Ok bub."

Taehyung was getting ready to go to work, and more importantly, to meet Jungkook. He regretted not getting Jungkook's phone number yesterday because they didn't clarify at what time of the morning they were going to meet.

He doesn't know at what time the younger goes to work because he has never seen it. He was ready to go but should he wait some more of should he go outside? He definitely didn't want to go to Jungkook's house and knock.

Taehyung has been peeking from the window and finally he saw Jungkook leaving his house. He watch as the boy walked towards his house and stood there with an unsure look. Taehyung quickly went outside as he didn't want to make the younger suffer for even a second.

Jungkook looked up at the sound of the door and saw Taehyung walking towards him with a soft smile.

"H-hi." Jungkook said as he felt a familiar heat make its way in to his face.

"Hi." Taehyung replied with a smile.

Taehyung mounted his bike and looked at Jungkook expectantly and Jungkook walked to stand near him.

"So... do you still remember what I told you that night? About the people after me and how you might be in danger because of me?"

Jungkook felt his breath hitch and a familiar tightness in his heart. He panicked and looked at Taehyung with fearful eyes.

Taehyung realized what his words must have sounded like and quickly began to assure the boy. He cupped Jungkook's face with his hand gave a soft smile.

"Oh... no no baby. I'm not having second thoughts. Just wanted to make sure you know what you are getting in to." Taehyung explained quickly.

"Yes." Jungkook hissed in slight annoyance.

"And you are ok with it? For sure?" Taehyung asked again.

"Yes I am. Because I know you will never let me get hurt. You will always protect me. Won't you?" Jungkook said without a hint of doubt.

Taehyung suddenly felt a tag at his heart as a memory flashed in his mind.

"I will not let you get hurt Tae. Trust me. I will make sure you are safe. Ok."

Yoona may have said it as jokingly but she kept her word. She protected him till her last breath. And even after that. All this time, Taehyung managed to survive because of the precautions that she took for him.

Taehyung tore his mind from the past and looked at the beautiful boy in front of him.

"I will not let you get hurt baby. Trust me. I will make sure you are safe. Ok." Taehyung said as Jungkook gave a beautiful bunny smile.

The same smile that Taehyung has been dying to see again. If it really came to that, Taehyung knows that he will protect the boy with his life, just as Yoona did for him.

Taehyung started his bike and looked at Jungkook who slowly got on behind him and wrapped his arms around Taehyung in a tentative manner. Taehyung turned his head to look at the boy.

"Do you have any objection to fast riding?" Taehyung asked with a smirk.

"Uhh... n-no."

"Hold on tight baby."

With that, Taehyung went quite fast making Jungkook hug him tightly, his chest pressed to Taehyung's back without leaving any space.

They arrived at Jungkook's work place but it was closed. Taehyung frowned at it and turned his head to look at Jungkook.

"Baby, why is this closed?"

"Uhh... it's opening around 10.30 only."

"So you normally comes around that time? Then why did you come with me in the morning?" Taehyung asked in a surprise.

"You said to see you in the morning." Jungkook replied looking down, blushing.

"Oh baby, you didn't have to do that." Taehyung said in a cooing voice.

Jungkook just gave a shrug Taehyung smiled at the younger's innocence.

"Well I won't leave you here. Are you ok to come stay in the tech shop till 10.30?" Taehyung asked with a smile.

"Yeah." Jungkook beamed realizing that he get to spend few more hours with Taehyung.

Yugyeom was surprised to see Jungkook coming in with Taehyung.

"Hi Kookie, what are you doing here so early in the morning? Did you came with Taehyung?" Yugyeom asked in surprise.

Taehyung has walked inside and brought a chair which he placed near his workstation and indicated Jungkook to sit.

"Well I came with Taehyung for something and needed a place to stay since the diner is opening only around mid-day." Jungkook replied as he sat on the chair.

"Oh ok. You can stay here." Yugyeom gave him an amused smile but didn't say anything else.

Jungkook watched Taehyung concentrating on work and thought that he looked hot. He kept gawking at Taehyung and the elder returned his gaze from time to time, smiling softly.

"Uhh... where did you learn to fix computers?" Jungkook asked curiously.

Taehyung looked at him for few seconds and Jungkook could almost sense the internal battle in Taehyung head about answering.

"I-I have a degree in computer science from Seoul university."

"S-seoul university??!!" Jungkook gasped and even Yugyeom's eyes widened in shock. "Wow!!"

"Man you never told me that!! No wonder you are so good at it." Yugyeom said in surprise.

Taehyung just gave a shrug, indicating that it's no big deal. He thought not to mention the fact that he was the faculty first for two consecutive years. Maybe he will tell Jungkook privately.

Jungkook looked so cute looking at him in wonder like that. He wouldn't mind seeing that again.
