I Still Love Her

“Why still her, man?”
“Why still her, not me?”
“There are other girls out there,
why do you keep choosing her?”

“Do I need to tell you?”
I asked them back.
I took a deep sigh.
“Honestly I’m not sure why.”

I looked into the window
and look at the beautiful sunset.
I asked myself, “Why are you still?”
I still love her, I do.

I still love the girl
who hurt me so much,
the one who broke my heart.
I want to move on— how?

She’s the girl I owe a lot
for she was there when I was broke,
but I couldn’t believe
that she’ll also break me in the end.

Now I’m afraid to love again.
She broke me but why still her?
Maybe because I couldn’t find
someone better than her.
