Reaching your ears as silent notes

As a cacophony, the way we hit the crescendo-
No warning sign
I must have been asleep through it all
when we flatlined into a dead frequency
That's why nothing feels real; no less complete

One minute, we were so in love
The next minute, it was a rush
---The end of us
Our memories rolled itself in a carpet
and disappeared into darkness
Leaving me with a blank canvas
