"(YOUR NAME), YOU'RE EITHER HORNY OR IN LOVE."

The words coming from your mother's mouth shocked you. You had just told her about what happened earlier and this was her initial response. "Mom, that's not helping!" you shouted, raising your hands as you paced around the living room, keeping your head lowered, still blushing while thinking about it. "But I'm telling the truth!" Naomi placed her arms across her chest, staring at her daughter sternly. Eri looked at the two females confusedly as she quietly mutters "what is horny?"

"It's love, Eri." You answered while continuing to argue with your mother, sitting down on a chair near the sofa Naomi was sitting on. "O-oh?" Eri giggle to which the two females stopped arguing and cocked their eyebrows at her. "D-does that m-mean you love Hitoshi, sis?" You choked on your own saliva as you slowly grabbed Eri's cheeks and squished them. "I—..."

"Well?" Naomi raised one of her brows. "Why are you suddenly choking on your own words, (your name)?" Your mouth fell agape as you waved your hands in front of you. "We are not going to have that conversation. I do not love him." You stated as you finally let out a huge sigh. "I'm not saying anything. Why are you so defensive?" Naomi raised her hands beside her and widened her eyes innocently. You groaned as you rolled your eyes, pouting. "Whatever, think what you want to but just don't tell dad about it..."

"I won't, honey..." Naomi motioned a zipper closing over her mouth. "The secret's safe between us." Before you could speak up again, Naomi handed you a brown envelope and a wide smile crept on her face. "Your father also wanted you to have this." You stared at the envelope before holding it with your own hands, taking a peek of what's inside. Your eyes widened as you saw the papers for the sports festival that was happening in 4 days signed and ready to go. "He said that I'll give it to you when you come home but you had a bit of a problem when you did so, I waited."

You quickly opened your phone and sent the picture to your school group chats. "Well, I guess I have something to look forward to, don't I?" Naomi said while you look at her with a confused expression. "You have been practicing your sport, haven't you?" Your cheeks flushed as you let out a small smile. "Yes but I don't think I'll win any medal this year... I've been too busy and I barely even practiced hard enough to even try to win." Your mother chuckled as she took a deep breath. "Just do your best, okay?"

"Hitoshi also has a sport. That's why he wasn't able to babysit in a while," you stated as you looked down on the envelope, a small blush brushing your cheeks. Naomi's eyes sparkled as she let out a small gasp of anticipation. "Aw, my adopted baby slash son in law is also an athlete?!" she gushed. "You two are kind of meant to be, (your name)!"

"Don't say it like that..." you scoffed. "That's gross."

"You didn't think of that when you kissed him earlier~"

"MOM!!!"

THE FIRST DAY OF THE FIVE DAY SPORTS FESTIVAL HAD ARRIVED. As expected, the opening program was packed with students from juniors to seniors alike. They were in the gymnasium, having their respective cheers and the school boards were on the stage with Shota ready to give his opening speech. "You ready to hear that, (your name)?" Hitoshi managed to whisper in your ear as he leaned in from the chair beside you. You managed to push him away with your other hand and chuckled, shaking your head. "I don't really care..." you responded as you looked back at the lilac haired male who had a gentle smile on his face. And gosh, was your heart betraying your breathing.

The wind blew gradually as you continued to stare at him, his violet eyes also locked on your dark ones. "Stop staring. I might melt..." he muttered as he looked back at the stage while you still continued to look at him. "Well, it's not my fault you look awfully... attractive today." This retort made the male's eyes widen as his cheeks were dusted with a familiar pink hue. "Who told you to flirt with me like that?"

"Nobody." You smirked while you turned your head to the stage.

Hitoshi shrugged and uttered a small 'okay' before listening again to the ceremony. When the hour-long ceremony was finished, the student council members were left to clean up and stack some chairs as the other students prepared for their booths and sports events. "Are you going to watch Hitoshi's event, (your name)?" Momo asked while she went near you after finishing her stacks of chairs. "I mean, all seniors are going to be cheering for the seniors and our classmates just finished a batch of cheerleading costumes—," Your sudden glare met with Momo's gaze and felt the shivers run down her spine. "I am not wearing a cheerleader uniform," you said sternly but continued. "However, I am watching the event so, let's go?"

It took a moment for Momo to recover from the shock but followed you to the track field anyway. The hallways were busy with non-athlete students talking or hanging around in the booths. And so far, this has been one of the calmest sports festivals as the preceding ones always ended up with juniors and seniors fighting—it wasn't a good sight. They took a small turn and finally reached the locker rooms where most of your classmates were changing into the cheering uniform. In all honesty, it looked cute especially on your classmates but you flinched when Mina Ashido, a girl from Hitoshi's class, gazed at you.

"Eh? Miss (Your Name)! Why aren't you wearing one?" Mina gasped as her hand covered her mouth. "Such a pretty face like yours can't go to waste like that!" You shook your head at the female, opening your mouth to say something. "O-oh, I-I'm not—," you were cut off by the female's sudden tug at your arm, pulling you inside the locker room. "Oh shush! You'll be pretty in no time! Leave it to me and the rest of the ladies!" Mina exclaimed as she went closer to your ear to whisper something the others couldn't hear. "And besides, Hitoshi would probably like seeing you in that uniform~"

Ah, fuck, you thought, please kill me now.

HITOSHI WAS IN THE FIELD, STRETCHING HIS ARMS AND LEGS AS HE PREPARED FOR HIS EVENT. The athletics event was a big range of various sports combined together to be performed in an oval field. The athletic sport he chose was one corresponding to running and he was going to win it for the seniors. "Good luck, bro!" Eijiro patted Hitoshi's back and the lilac haired male nodded to him. "Right back at you, Kiri..." His response made the scarlet haired boy show his teeth. "So, you going out with (your name), now?" he asked while Hitoshi continued to stretch, sweat rolling down the side of his forehead.

"E-excuse me?" Hitoshi snickered. "Is that rumor still going on?"

"Rumor?" Eijiro cocked one of his brows. "So, the two of you hanging out isn't... a date?"

How I wish, Hitoshi thought as he smiled but he shook his head to the male's question. "No, we aren't dating... or are together..." Hitoshi said bitterly. Eijiro let out a small 'oh' as he pointed over to where the cheerleading squadron was at and smirked. "Well, you see, Hitoshi... if you don't do anything about her then somebody else is bound to get to her first..." Hitoshi shot Eijiro a mean look, squinting as he stood up properly. "What is that supposed to..." his gaze followed to wherever the red-haired male was pointing and his jaw dropped seeing you wearing make-up and in a cheerleading uniform.

"Wow..." Hitoshi managed to whisper while Eijiro bit his lower lip. "Mhm... that's (your name), alright. And look at all the fanboys gawking at her like hunter animal to prey. Would you really allow that?" Eijiro wiggled his brows as he chuckled, listening to the speaker on stage who had just called out to the first batch of runners. Hitoshi gulped as he held on to Eijiro's shoulder, causing the latter to stop walking and look back at Hitoshi. "All I'm saying is... you and (your name) make a great couple so, don't lose that chance. I saw the way you were talking to her at the opening ceremony and it sparked a bet between Denki and me."

"You're using us as betting tools?" Hitoshi's eye twitched.

"It's better than getting in trouble for using real ones, eh?" Eijiro shrugged as he took Hitoshi's arm off him. "Now, go do something or I'll lose the bet."

Hitoshi clicked his tongue. "As if I'd—,"

"Unless you want Bakugo over there to win her over..." Eijiro smirked before leaving, Hitoshi's face warm with embarrassment and a bit of rage.

THE WHOLE TIME YOU WERE IN THE SIDELINES OF THAT CHEERING SQUAD, all you could hear were compliments of the people telling you how pretty you looked and how you should dress like it often. And you couldn't help but notice that most of the guys were gawking at you. Tenya and Shoto had even gone as low as to acknowledge how you looked despite almost seeing you every day.

"I hate this..." you muttered under your breath as you ran your fingers over your black locks. "Then why'd you wear it?" You whipped your head to see Katsuki standing near you. "Shouldn't you be preparing for baseball right now?" you asked as you looked around, the people getting busy as the runners take their marks. "I was—," Katsuki was cut off by your sudden apologies. "I really have to see this, Katsu! I'm sorry!" You ran off to where you could clearly see the runners and saw Hitoshi in the center. Hitoshi's eyes slowly looked up from his shoes and his back was bent as his hands slightly touched the dirt.

Your eyes never left him and you held on to a pompom on your left hand. Some of the girls noticed that you were nowhere to be seen but then they started realizing why. If Hitoshi could just somehow make a head start, I can tell him that mom and Eri are watching and rooting for him to win, you thought, but then that might also distract him and cause him to lose his lead. Ah, shit, what do I do?!

"Go!"

You heard the gunshot along with the runners and as expected, Hitoshi was taking the lead. You quickly tried to make him notice you but you were sure that he only has a few seconds to look at you and a few seconds to deduce what the fuck you were trying to say. You waved your arms on the side, the bright pompoms catching his attention. Hitoshi's eyes glanced to the side and saw your figure waving at him. He couldn't really make sure what you were saying but he could only mouth out the words 'I'm rooting for you'. This made the male's heart flutter as he looked away and dashed once more. He felt his cheeks warm up as he smiled lightly.

"Dang it..." he muttered under his breath, him still taking the lead. "Why did she have to be so cute doing that?!" The finish line was just right in front of him and he quickly grabbed the white cloth, raising it up to declare victory for the seniors. The crowd roared as the other contenders started to slowly follow behind him and a few seniors circled Hitoshi as he pants for air. You went back to the other cheerleaders and most of them were already smirking and giving you teasing looks.

"What?" You asked innocently, tilting your head, and shrugging your shoulders. "We totally saw you!" Mina enthused as she held her hands in front of her as she felt her whole body giddy-up. "You cheered for your boyfriend!" She exclaimed as you smiled awkwardly. "He's not my..." you were cut off by two strong arms wrapping themselves around your neck, pulling you closer to them. Your nose caught a whiff of that familiar lavender scent and you closed your eyes as you breathed in. "...boyfriend?"

"Yes?" Hitoshi chortled as the rest of the girls fanned themselves over what just happened. "Your not boyfriend is here... Did you need anything?" You managed to take his arms off of you, his scent slowly disappearing and the butterflies in your stomach calming down. "No!" you scoffed, glaring at the male while you crossed your arms on your chest. "Congratulations, by the way..." Hitoshi grinned as you murmured it slowly. "I'm sure Mom and Eri are proud of you..."

"Oh, they're here?" He asked as he kept his chin up, looking at the crowd trying to find them. You nodded abruptly while a blush ran across your cheek as you realized you were still in your cheerleading uniform. "Can we go to the locker rooms? I'm really uncomfortable with this..." you say as you looked up at him, his expression softening as he saw your worried eyes. "Guys keep staring at me..." Hitoshi hummed as he pulled you a little closer to him, the girls once again squealing at the scene they were watching. "Well, we can't have that now, can we?"

"About that..." His arm slowly snaked its way over your shoulder, harshly moving your body so you were now facing him. His body slowly leaned against yours as his lips were firmly placed on top of yours. The kiss was short but it was enough for some of your classmates to scream and it was also enough to gather some of the gawking boy's attention; Katsuki with the most violent reaction while Denki's mouth opened wide as Eijiro laughed like there was no tomorrow.

Your face turned beet red as the wind blew harder, your black hair slowly flowing with it. His hair was also messy because of the wind, the lilac strands sticking to his forehead because of his sweat, and his violet eyes shining as he stared at you. "W-what was that... for?" you stuttered as you felt Hitoshi pushing you both against the crowd to go to the locker room.

"A thank you for cheering me on earlier."

As you were changing back to your casual clothing while Hitoshi waited outside, you were dumbfounded and in a daze as you felt your lips twitch into a smile. Who knew such small action would make him win that damn event? And who knew that victory would have led to him kissing you like that? There were two major things running in your mind right now and it was starting to get in your nerves as well. You went out and Hitoshi noticed the rather stressed look on your face. "Are you alright?"

"No..." you truthfully answered as you took a deep breath walking away. He was quick to follow you through and the blank stare you were giving was not helping him decipher if it was his fault or what. "Would you mind telling me...then?" Hitoshi waited for your answer but the silence that welcomed him was enough to tell him that you were going to mind if he knew what was going on.

Because in some otherworldly and honest way, you were in love with him.

And maybe a little horny.
