NAOMI AND SHOTA WERE IN THE LIVING ROOM talking about what Shota did at the rooftop to Hitoshi. The dust that was settling in one corner of the room was being gazed at by Shota's eyes while Naomi, in all ways possible, tried not to slap the shit out of her husband. "Honey, I love you and I know you know that but..." Naomi took a deep breath. "What the fuck?" Shota watched with surprise as his wife stared at him with a straight face. "What was I supposed to do then?" Shota's shoulders fell heavily while puffing out a huge amount of air. "I can't just let it happen."

Naomi scooted closer to Shota and arranged some of his escaping hair strands, tucking them behind his ear. "Darling, she made it this far without being told what to do... sometimes, your fights with her just get too much..." Naomi placed her hand on his cheek and he automatically melted at the warm feeling. Shota held Naomi's hand that was pressed against his cheek. "We just get into each other's nerves... she's being too stubborn lately," Shota clicked his tongue as he shook his head.

"Don't you think it has something to do with how you treat her?" Naomi raised her eyebrows, a look of pain and worry washing over her face as she saw her husband's expression hardened. "Tch, if pressuring her will get her mind off those relationship thoughts, I'll have to do it," Shota rolled his eyes while looking back at Naomi's soft expression. "It's slowly killing her happiness away, Shota... you need to be mindful of that..." The living room echoed with that statement as Shota stayed silent. He watched the tiny picture frames hanging around the walls and sighed. "She's been losing too many friends and she's drained... do you really want her to end up like you before?" Shota looked into Naomi's eyes, watching as his past came circling back to him like vultures.

"Do you think she needs to know, Naomi?"

"In time, Shota." Naomi kissed his forehead, her lips soft against his skin, making him smile slightly even just for a while. "In time."

HITOSHI WAS NOW IN MS. YSHI'S OFFICE trying to figure out what the fuck was going on in his head that early in the morning. Yshi was also trying to make sense of what happened through Hitoshi's frantic walking around the room, explaining and flailing his arms around like a bird. It's like she's seeing Keigo in him now. "You know, Ms. Yshi, I don't understand why her father is like that to me. I am trying to prove myself here and I've been a good person to her too," Hitoshi finally slumps down on the chair in front of Yshi's table, allowing her to sigh in relief while the things on her table slightly rattle as the male sat down. "Am I doing something wrong?"

"It depends, really," Yshi said as she tipped her head to the side, resting it on her palm. "You see, Hitoshi, her father has been through some unspeakable things, one that even (your name) has no idea about. The harshness of her father only comes from seeing that her daughter is becoming more like him." The male in front of Yshi pouted as he tapped the armrest with his finger, feeling the material tingle his skin. "But I think that you should keep talking with her..."

"Why though? I don't really want to get in trouble, Ms. Yshi..."

"Isn't that one of the reasons why you're popular, Hitoshi? You cause trouble for a good reason,"

Hitoshi chuckled at her response, making him shake his head while he bit his lower lip anxiously. "I guess..." he shrugged as he let out a sigh, causing his body to recline on the chair. "What should I do?"

"Talk to her about it, Hitoshi."

"What if she'll get mad at her father?" Hitoshi looked at the female who had just giggled at the question, her dark hair waving along as she shook her head. "When is she ever not mad at her father? She walks in here every other day just screeching at how pressured she is to keep up a facade," Yshi says as she sighs joyfully. "Just let her know you'll be there."

"Don't tell me you realized I like her too?" Hitoshi leaned his head on the backrest of the chair and groaned as Yshi let out a big obvious laugh. Hitoshi looked at the female in front of him with a slanted smile as Yshi let out a wide grin, her teeth shining in the process. "It is pretty obvious, Hitoshi~" Hitoshi's cheeks turned red as he tried to hold in his smirk, and breathing normally to prevent his heart from leaking out any further beats. "Besides, she is the reason you weren't expelled from my recommendation."

"Huh?" Hitoshi whipped his head up to the female, his lilac hair falling back. "I thought-" Yshi cut him off, holding her forefinger up as she continued to speak. "No, Hitoshi, she only wanted me to keep it from you until I needed to tell you. "When she was attacked by your group of friends, you went down and saved her. Didn't you?" Yshi smiled warmly while Hitoshi nodded slowly. "When her father wanted you expelled, she begged him not to. Going as low as kneeling in front of the principal, the board, and her father, just asking to give you a chance."Hitoshi's lips felt like they were glued to one another as he couldn't speak a word after what he knew. "She cares a lot about you, Hitoshi..."

"But she says she hates me, Ms. Yshi..." Hitoshi chuckled while shaking his head, watching as the walls of her office started to spin from his own nervousness. "But lately, that's not what it feels like right, 'Toshi? She passed the proposal and it was written by both of you," Hitoshi's eyes widened but quickly, he furrowed his brows confused as that was the reason why both of you had fought and gotten stuck at the rooftop. Yshi giggled while resting her chin on her palm, drawing circles with the finger of her other hand on the table in front of her. "That's why you need to talk to her. You see, there's a thin line between love and hate, Hitoshi..."

Hitoshi gulped at the next statement as he felt his heart pace quickened and he was sure at any given moment, he was going to faint.

"... and both of you are finally meeting in the middle of it."

✧ ✧ ✧

YOU WERE WAITING BY YOUR CLASSROOM DOOR, hoping to see Hitoshi walk out of his own and you would be able to talk about what happened yesterday. Miss Yshi had given you the benefit of the doubt that your father was probably pissed at Hitoshi and a bit at her because she let the two of you be alone and it was a good thing nothing happened. Well, something was going to happen if they didn't arrive but that wasn't the point. You played with the hem of your blouse, pressing your tongue on the roof of your mouth.

"Hey, dumbass. What do you think you're doing on the doorway?" you quickly recognized the person's voice and looked back to see Katsuki, one of your not so close but close friends. The spiky-haired blonde gave you a small glance before walking out the door, closing it and standing beside you. "Aren't you supposed to be at your meeting right now?!" His voice had a hint of concern but the way he said it made you jump up and nod quickly. "Actually, I was going to go now. It seems like Hitoshi won't be going..."

Oh, but he was going.

And he just felt his heart tighten seeing you talking and walking with Katsuki. He was just about to pass by your class but saw that Katsuki had exited the door, so he hid somewhere he could see both of you. The tall male deep inside wanted to follow and walk along with the two of you, grab your hand into his, and glare at Katsuki but a part of him was telling him that he had no right to do so. He gulped down a large lump on his throat as he felt his heart pump fast and muttered a curse under his breath.

He was jealous.

As he regained his own composure after a few minutes of meditating, leaning on a wall, Hitoshi started to make his way to the office. The walk was oddly quiet and students seemed to be crowding somewhere in a distance. Hitoshi tried to stretch his neck to see what the hell was going on and it was a good thing he was fairly tall than most the students around. But what he saw was a sight that he hadn't seen in a very long time and it was making his blood boil. However, his blood was already boiling with his pent up jealousy and this just made it worse. The junior who was at the cafe a few weeks ago was being pushed around by what he heard was his boyfriend.

"Oi, bastard. I don't think you're supposed to treat anyone--especially your girl--like that," Hitoshi pushed through the crowd and started moving his neck, slightly cracking it. "Why don't you go and grow a pair..."

✧ ✧ ✧

"HITOSHI SHINSO JUST GOT INTO A FIST FIGHT."

That was not what you were expecting to hear upon entering the student council room. Katsuki had just left you and the frown on your face was enough to show that you were not in the slightest amused with what your vice president has done. You clicked your tongue in annoyance, the tint of anger in your eyes was burning as you trudged down the hallway to see a crowd forming over two boys punching each other to death while Ms. Yshi followed after you. Hitoshi was already having a bloody lip from the punches but the other guy already had a bruise on his left cheek.

You saw the junior who had been flirting with him a few weeks ago, shaking as she watched the two males punching each other. Yshi quickly grabbed the girl as you quickly passed through the path the students had made while they saw Ms. Yshi; the two males still trying to get at each other's necks. "Hitoshi Shinso." The male stopped at your voice and let go of the guy's collar before lowering his fist. "What in the world do you think you're doing?" You could see the way Hitoshi's jaw clenched as he walked right in front of you. "He was bullying someone. I had to--"

"Had to what? Show him a taste of his own medicine? This is exactly why people call you a delinquent even when you're doing it for a good cause, Shinso." your words pierced through him like daggers and he took a sharp inhale, muttering an apology to you before walking past you, bumping into your shoulder. You smirked as you chuckled before grabbing him by his arm, turning him around and landing a punch right in his face.

"What the fuck was that for?!" Hitoshi screeched. "For you, asshole," you responded with a shake from your head. Hitoshi watched as you grabbed him by the collar and pulled him close. "I do not condone with this behavior from you... what do you think you're doing?"

"Stop being a hypocrite! You're beating me up right now!" Hitoshi grabbed your wrist and both of you were practically ripping each other apart with your eyes. "I'm not beating you, I just punched you once." The fire inside both of you burned and ached in your veins like gasoline on a running car. You let go of his collar and watched as he gulped loudly. "Ugh, I just- I don't understand you, (your name)!"

Hitoshi watched your smaller figure walk away and out of sight from the crowd in the hallway. When the people began to disperse, Hitoshi made his way to the student council room, slightly groaning from the pain on his abdomen and cheek. The side of his lip was wounded but the pain was bearable enough for him not to notice it was even there. When he entered, your eyes were glued to his figure walking through the door, practically slamming the door shut. Your eye twitched as he sat right beside you. The tension between the two of you can be felt by everyone in the room.

"Are you two alright?" Tsu asked, tilting her head, her eyes scanning both your tense figures. Hitoshi ran his fingers through his hair and spat out. "Why don't you ask your president over here?"

"I told you we were having a meeting and when I arrive, I hear that your vice president has been oh, I don't know, in a fucking fistfight," you retorted not even looking at him. "Of course, I feel great about it!" Hitoshi managed to chortle while you glared at him in your peripheral vision.

Truth be told it wasn't the only thing that was ticking you off as well. There was only a week left before the school festival and the clubs still haven't started making their booths even with the Friday afternoon free time. And then there was the curiosity between what happened when you and Ms. Yshi left Hitoshi and your father alone in the rooftop. And there was also your never-ending building emotions with Hitoshi.

It was taking a toll on you.

You were evidently clenching your fists and aggressively tapping your foot. There really was a thin line between love and hate but you were walking on a tightrope right now. The sweat on your forehead started rolling down to your cheek and your ears were going deaf despite the ongoing talking happening with your council members. You really needed a release right now. Hitoshi noticed your jaw tightening and as much as he was pissed off at you right now, he knew what you were thinking. Eventually, you let out a big sigh, slamming your hands on the table. You stood up and walked out the door, trying to hold in your tears and stress.

You scoffed as you walked down the hallway, hearing your steps click on the tiled floors. Upon seeing no signs of anybody anywhere, you decided to go to your breakdown area. The sun rays entered the windows just a bit and hitting your feet as you made your way to the back of the school. Hitoshi, who had just been observing you after you walked out of the student council office, had followed you to wherever it is you were going. Luckily, the clicking of your shoes on the floor made it easier for his footsteps' sounds to drown out.

The back of the school was always secluded and most of the students who go here had other plans such as skipping classes, drinking alcohol, or making deals with devils. You just go there to release your stress by punching a wall that, same like your bedroom wall, had cracked from your hits.

Hitoshi watched from the side as you started to pace around, rubbing your gloved hands through your face. You were groaning, biting your lips, shaking your head, and sighing heavily as you tried to calm the stress building up inside you. "I fucking hate you," you say quietly, not noticing that Hitoshi was just around the corner. "I only wanted to protect you... my confidence is dropping and I'm just... the students aren't listening too..." your voice became whimpers as you shouted out all your frustrations, balling your hands into fists.

When you were about to punch the wall with all your might, Hitoshi stopped your fist with his palm, practically running to you. Your eyes started into his violet ones that were laced with anger, regret, sadness, and pain. "What the fuck are you doing here?!" you managed to push your fist and your body away from him, looking down at the ground. "I'm not letting you punch a wall, doofus," Hitoshi's eyes were still looking at you, not moving from his position. He placed his hands on the pockets of his slacks and tilted his head lightly. "And you?"

"I was trying to blow off some steam and ofcourse, of-fucking-course, you come around," you say raising your arms topoint at him and putting them down again with a frown plastered on your face. "Leave me the fuck alone..." you went near Hitoshi and pushed him to the side but he grabbed your forearms, pulling you into a hug, and his back hitting the wall.

"No, I just promised you yesterday I wouldn't."

You shook your head, trying tobreak free from his grasp but he only added more weight to the grip. Hitoshiwatched as your eyes started to tear up and your face was red from all the pentup emotions you had kept inside for how many weeks. "You don't have tohurt or beat yourself up just because of your emotions. We're here for you, (yourname). Fuck, I'm here for you," Hitoshi's voice was calm and comforting and you couldn't help butsob even more. "You can talk to us... talk to me."

"Did dad say anything t-to you?" You asked in between sobs, wrapping your arm around Hitoshi, taking in his warmth burying your face on his chest. Hitoshi softly caressed your hair, feeling the softness of your strands against his callous fingers. "He told me to stay away... but I can't stay away, (your name)." He pulled away slightly, wiping your tears away with his thumb, while he leaned down. "Don't cry anymore, babe... it doesn't suit you." You chuckled as his thumb slowly run across your eyelids, the sound of your laugh making Hitoshi fall for you even harder.

"Why do you always do that, Hitoshi?"

"Hm? Do what?"

"Save people who won't even save you," you inhaled sharply, holding in the sobs that were easily escaping your throat. "People would still think you're the bad guy even if you're doing it for another reason. You're still that damned delinquent everyone fears to go near to."

"That may be true but you did save me,"

"What? I don't-" you shook your head, tilting it to the side. You chuckled bitterly. "I can't even save you from my own father." Hitoshi's hands slowly went down your wrists, moving you so you were now pinned against the wall. He placed them right above your head with one hand while the other went around your waist, pulling you close.

Your eyes widened with shock as you tried to move away but only finding yourself in contact with cold concrete. You felt his breath as he inhales and exhales and he could see how red your face was. Both of your faces were close to each other and you weren't sure if you wanted to push him away--it's not like you have the energy to do so anyway, with the way his grip was firm on your wrists. "Hitoshi, let me go," you say while closing your eyes, resting your head on his shoulder. "I don't get what you're saying."

"You saved me, (your name)." Hitoshi quietly whispered on the skin of your neck, sending shivers down your spine. his breath warm against your cold skin. You could feel your body tense up and even felt your heart beat faster. Everything felt sultry around the two of you and you weren't even sure how you were able to take in oxygen at this point. "Hell, you begged for me to stay, didn't you?" Hitoshi's chuckled and you felt your cheeks turn red the moment it hits your skin. "I did... but that was because I know you did a good thing," Hitoshi used the hand around your waist to grab your chin and make you face him, his leg in between yours to support you from falling.

"I know and that's all that matters, (your name)..." He inched his face closer to yours but not enough to meet your lips and you could feel your back being one with the concrete wall. Hitoshi's body pushed against yours, closing in any remaining distances from him to you. "What...are you doing?" your lips quivered at how close he was and your eyes fluttering at how warm he feels around you. "Well, continuing where I left off yesterday..."

Hitoshi pressed his warm lips against your plump ones. The feelings that had been bottled up yesterday started bubbling its way out of you as you tried to speak but couldn't. Your hands traveled up his chest, pushing him lightly but only failing as you feel him pushing more against you. He pulled away and both of you gazed at one another, your face red. "You look really pretty..." he whispered before capturing your lips again, slightly sucking on them, the taste of the cherry soda you had for lunch still present on your mouth.

You whimpered, feeling yourself getting lightheaded and felt your knees wobble as you kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck. His soft flowery scent intoxicated your nose as you laced your fingers around his indigo hair while he licks your bottom lip, asking for entrance. You opened your mouth slightly and Hitoshi pushed his tongue inside your mouth, exploring it. You hummed in ecstasy as he pulled away, leaving soft yet wet kisses on your jaw. With one swift movement, he grabbed one of your legs, hoisting you up and wrapping them around his waist, with him standing inbetween you.

His lips met with the side of your neck as you leaned to the other side, giving him more room. "Hitoshi~" you breathed out as he lightly nipped on the skin, careful not to leave any visible marks. Hitoshi hummed as he went back to your lips, he placed his hand on the backof your neck, holding your head in place as he swirled his tongue with yours. This went on for a few minutes before you pulled away for air, seeing the trail of saliva break as he looked away from your face.

Both of you were panting, trying to regain some oxygen into your systems--unsure of what just happened. As soon as he put you down, that's when the realization of both of you kissing hit you and your eyes widened, your body shaking a little. And of course, you hysterically said;

"Why did you kiss me, Hitoshi?!"

"Why did you kiss me back, (your name)?!"

"Don't throw questions back at me!" You screamed grabbing his shoulders, shaking him to the front and back. "Why?!" Hitoshi's red face and biting lip weren't helping your current embarrassed state. "I- I don't know?" Hitoshi said as he ran his fingers through his hair, the tint of worry glistening on his violet orbs. "I'm sorry, I got carried away and I- gosh, I-" The way he was stuttering was confusing you more but you were more concerned over the fact that he was apologizing constantly for seducing you into doing that.

"Hitoshi..."

"I'm really sorry, (your name). I didn't know what got into me. It was the heat of the moment!" Hitoshi's eyebrows shot up as you begin to chuckle, the sound of your relaxed laughter making him feel comfortable. "Hitoshi, why do you seem so worked up about it?" you asked, your head tilting to the side, your black irises shining. "I just don't want you to think that's all I'm after, (your name). And I may have been a little jealous of you and Bakugo..."

"You...what...?" You felt yourself turn red at this and you furrowed your brows, trying to look mad. You were confused and you weren't sure if it was the stress speaking. You didn't know if you were happy or sad about the whole situation. The overthinking got to you and you shook your head and looked back at Hitoshi who was just looking at you. "Fuck, you're making me feel lots of emotions right now, Hitoshi," you admitted while you fixed your uniform. "Why would you even want to-- I am so confused right now." Hitoshi just chuckled at your reaction, biting his lower lip while shrugging his shoulders, putting his hands in his pocket. "I really want more of you than just that or the other thing," Hitoshi laughed while walking away leaving you with a shocked expression and an open mouth.

This guy is something else.

You went home that evening, directly going inside your room, with a confused brain and a conflicted feeling. You closed your eyes, covering your face with your pillow and screaming as you imagined his soft lips on yours again, the way his tongue ran across your lower lip or how his wet muscle explored every inch of your mouth. His face and his scent that was just around you and how frustratingly stupid he looked when he said he wanted more than just your kisses or your...that! Did he like you or was that just a one-time thing? Was it just another reason to torment you?

As these questions ran through your head that night, one thing still holds true. There was a thin line between love and hate.

And damn, you were catching a lot of unwanted feelings for Hitoshi Shinso right now.
