A 7 year old Yang is wandering around a forest with a 4 year old Ruby who is sleeping on a small wagon. Yang decided to go out to search for her mother.

She keep searching and searching for a while now until she realized that she and Ruby became lost. Feeling scared, she saw an abandoned house and decided to stay there for a while.

But she didn't expect that a Beowolf had appeared in front of her and growled.

She then freaked out and started running away with Ruby on the wagon who started to go awake but the Grimm suddenly clawed the wagon making Ruby splash away but Yang caught her. Many Beowolves then arrived and watched the two intently.

Ruby realize that there are Grimm in front of them so she hugged her sister tightly and buried her head on her chest.

The two of them just sit on the dirt ready to be slaughtered by the Grimm. The Beowolf then jumped and was about to kill them but it was stopped by a large sword stabbing it.

Qrow Branwen, the uncle of Yang and Ruby had arrived to save them. He then fought with the Grimm until in the end, he is victorious.

He went towards his nieces and took them home safely. Their father, Taiyang Xiao Long was worried sick about them and thank Qrow. He then left leaving the three as they go inside their house, but what Yang receive is a slap across the face, sending her to the floor with a red hand print on her left cheek. Ruby looks shock seeing this and went towards her sister.

"Do you even realize what you just did?!" Tai started.

"I..... I'm sorry..." She said.

"You could've been killed by now if it wasn't for Qrow! You've even dragged Ruby into this!"

"Daddy! Don't yell at Yang! She did nothing wrong!" Ruby yelled as she hug her sister.

"You dare yell at me?" He then proceeds to slap Ruby causing her eyes to water.

Yang saw this and got angry.

"Don't you hurt my sister you jerk!"

"Now don't yell back at me, or you will also receive a slap!"

"You're no good person!"

Tai then snapped and grabbed Yang on her shirt and dragged her to her room and then started to lecture her.

Screams of agony can be heard through out the house but not outside as Ruby cries and hugs her knees while she listens to the cries of her sister.

"Stop........"

Two Years Later

Ruby and Yang are hugging each other tightly in Yang's room as they hear footsteps coming from outside the room.

Yang has more bruises than Ruby due to her always getting the beatings. Their stomachs growled in hunger but there's nothing they could do about it.

"Y-Yang? When will we get out of here?" Ruby ask with fear in her voice.

"I don't know sis..... Let's just wait for a chance...."

The door then slams open revealing a furious Tai.

"You two, go clean the house or else."

They didn't move an inch and instead they hug each other tightly as Tai form a frown on his face.

"Are you gonna clean or what?" He said getting impatient.

"No! We don't want to serve you anymore! Leave us a-"

Yang was cut off by Tai, who punched her on the face sending her to the wall, hitting her head hard enough to cause blood to leak out.

"Yang!" Ruby immediately run towards her and hug her.

Due to her head hitting the wall, she started to lose consciousness. But she doesn't allow it because if she didn't do anything, something bad might happen to her little sister while she is unconscious.

She slowly stand up still Ruby still hugging her as she glared at her abusive father.

"Leave us alone you monster!" She remove herself from her sister's grasp and kicked Tai's leg causing him to clutch it and grunt.

"Oh you've done it you brat!" He then continuously punches Yang in the stomach as Ruby tries to stop him but got kicked hard sending her back and cry in agony.

The beating continues for a whole half an hour. After that, Tai then locked the doors leaving the two wounded and crying.

Ruby hugs her sister tightly not wanting to let go the same as for Yang.

"Y-Yang...... I don't wanna feel this anymore...." She sobbed on her sister's chest.

"It's okay, Ruby.... Don't cry.... Your sis is here......" She tries to comfort her.

"When we will leave t-this place? I don't wanna be here anymore...." She cries.

"Me too sis. But now let's just have to bear with this."

"But I can't! He might kill us if we didn't do something!"

She just remain silent and just kept hugging her as she cries.

Two days later

Ruby woke from her sleep and saw herself on the mattress where she slept with Yang sleeping beside her.

She looks at her wounds and tries to touch it but end up wincing in pain. Her clothes is dirty and her stomach is empty.

She hasn't eaten anything in the past two days and all the two of them have eaten over the two years of abuse was an apple and two glass of water for each of them.

She then started to shake her sister up and after a few seconds, she woke up.

"Yang, it's time to make breakfast."

"Okay..."

The two of them got out of the mattress and went downstairs to the kitchen to make Tai breakfast. They finally finished cooking and saw Tai walking down the stairs and sitting on the chair waiting for the food.

They rushed to put the food in front of him but something unexpected happened.

When Ruby was about to put the plate of food on the table, she accidentally triped causing her to fall on the floor and the food scattered around.

Yang rushed to her to help her up. Tai then stand up then went towards them and slapped Ruby.

"I just woke up from bed and expected something good to eat. Now this is what you did to my morning!"

"I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean it..." Ruby apologize.

"Let me teach you on how to not make any mistake again."

A man in his mid 30s who has silver hair and blue eyes is walking around Patch, searching for an old friend of his.

He then came across a wooden house with flower beds in front of it. He then use his semblance to detect and consume negative emotions around him.

Surprisingly, he detected not one but three. Fear, sadness and anger. He realized that the emotions came from the house so he got curious. He made himself invisible and untouchable and started floating right passed the wall and look around the first floor and then he saw something shocking.

His old friend Tai, is beating two helpless young girls. And the most surprising fact about it is they are his own daughters. He couldn't help but feel angry and disappointed. He then went back to normal not noticed by any of them and hold Tai's wrist.

He looks behind him and saw him. His eyes widen.

"Y-Y/N?"

"Hello Tai. I see what you have done to them, and I'm disappointed of you." He punches his face sending him to the wall causing his nose to bleed.

Tai spit some blood and was about to punch Y/N but he suddenly disappeared. Confused on where he is, he is then surprised with a kick on the back making him fall on the floor.

Y/N proceeds to put Tai's right arm on his back in a way that he will feel pain.

"Explain Tai. Why are you doing this?"

"You b-bastard. I didn't do-gahh!" Y/N completely broke his arm and lets go of him.

"You're lucky I won't call anyone right now. I'll just leave you there and take these girls to a better place."

Y/N walk towards Ruby and Yang who are hugging each other on the corner, crying.

He knelt down and without the girls knowing, he hugged them in a loving way.

"Shh..... It's fine now, you're safe." The girls started to ease down and hugs Y/N.

He then carries the two of them, but before he leaves the house with the two he stops.

"Oh and if I ever see you again with these two. You know exactly what I'll do."

He then left the house and went to the nearest hospital. Ruby and Yang are being healed by a nurse as he decides to let them sleep here first. He was about to leave but Ruby stopped him by holding onto his sleeve.

"P-please stay, mister...." Her voice is sad and rather cute.

There's nothing he could do but sigh and sit on a chair while watching them get bandaged up.

He observed the two of them and suddenly Yang's stomach growled as she look down in embarrassment.

After all of that, the nurse left then Ruby and Yang started drifting off to sleep. Now that they are both asleep, he silently walk out of the room and out of the hospital to go buy them food and to a bar.
