Ruby's POV

Me, Yang and uncle Qrow are in Hale's backyard as me and my sister stand I will be front of our uncle. Confused as to why we are here.

"So uncle Qrow, why are we here again?" Yang ask.

"We're here to let me ask you two something." He said.

He kneels down in front of me and give us a small smile.

"How would you like to let me teach you how to fight?" He questioned.

We stand there in disbelief. Until I started squealing and hugged uncle Qrow.

"Yes! Teach us! I want to fight!" I said.

"Me too!" Yang joins.

"Alright, alright. I'll teach you two on how to use weapons firsts." He said.

"But we don't have weapons." I said.

"I know but you both can use these toys for now." He states.

He stands up and grabs the box near the door and walk back to us. I open the box and me and Yang both look in awe.

Inside the box are toy versions of a gauntlets, sword, spear, rifle and a scythe.

"You can pick the desired weapon you want. But only one, though." He said.

I grab the scryte and look at it, amazed. Yang then grabs the gauntlets and wears it.

"I wanna punch stuff with these!" She said joyfully.

"Hehe, you'll get to do that soon. Now let's start the training." He said.

John's POV

I stand on a roof top of a random building in Vale, looking out at the scene below me. The group of faunus commonly known as the White Fang are rallying and yelling about their wanted equality. The policemen were blocking their path as some humans who are a bunch of garbage verbally abuse them. Some of them even started throwing trash at the faunus making me irritated.

"What's even their problem with the faunus? I just don't get these ignorant humans..." A familiar voice said.

I look back and see one of the closest people I used to be with.

"Karra, I hadn't seen you in a long time!" I said happily.

Standing up, I hugged her happily as she hugs back. We separated seconds later and we both smile. Karra Oliver is one of my team mates back in Beacon, she's the only female and faunus in our team. She is brave and sometimes arrogant back then. Her appearance may be like any other human, but the difference is that she has fairly small wings that she is only capable to glide.

With her being a parrot faunus, her wings have the color green at the end to where it is attached to her back and the color slowly turns yellow at the other end.

"So how did you manage to find me?" I ask.

"Hm, I heard that the White Fang are having a rally here. So I decided to check out how it is." She answered.

"Aren't you going to support them?"

"Nah, it's just a waste of my time. If I'm allowed to lecture those filthy humans I would gladly do so. But, I have some responsibilities." She said sitting on the ledge.

I sit beside her and just watch the crowd.

"I heard what happen with Taiyang and his daughters. Did Y/N really adopted them?" Karra questioned.

"Yep. Since the day that happened, I noticed that Y/N has been being a little soft and fatherly. Of course, that's how a dad should act." I said.

"I'm actually skeptical about that. Well because Y/N is always has that calm attitude and rarely gets soft even though we're close friends. But, time flies fast." She said.

"Hey let's get down there, I'm kinda bored just by watching them. Hold me while you glide." I said giving her a mischievous smile.

"You know my wings can't carry that heavy." She said.

"Fine. Race you there!!!" I immediately jumped off the ledge and held onto my weapon.

"Oh we'll see." Karra jumps off as well and the both of us are falling.

When I was about to crash, I quickly use Slasher my weapon and stabbed a wall to stop me from falling and stand on the ground. I pull out my weapon and put it on its sheath then look around to see if Karra is anywhere.

But when I turn around, she is already there standing in front of me with a grin.

"I got here first! You owe me drink." She said proudly.

"I didn't agreed on a bet, we only raced." I said.

"You still owe me!"

"Pfft..... Fine."

Y/N's POV

I waited for Raven to arrive in the bar while taking a drink on my whiskey. It's already been forty-five minutes since I got here, maybe she's doing something before going here.

A sound of a door opening made me put my attention to it and there she stood, the woman I had fallen in love with for years. She looks around for a second until her gaze was set upon me. She started to approach me and sat across from me.

"You made me wait here for a while." I said letting out a small smile.

"Sorry about that. I've fallen asleep after you left." She replied.

"You know it's good that we get to chat like this again, just like old times."

"It sure is, I even remember how Summer ruined our talk." She said.

"I miss those old days." I said.

"Hey Y/N?"

"Yes?"

"Where is Tai right now?" She questioned.

"Maybe he's hiding in his house or probably already in hell." I said with a scoff.

"Did you do something to him?" She ask.

"Well I only broke his arm when I rescued the two, and Qrow must have beaten him up when he heard the news." I said.

"I hate myself for ever leaving her there...." She said sighing and resting her head on her palm.

"Hey, don't worry about that. She's fine now. Here, how about you drown your sorrow for now. There's more if you want." I hand her the glass of alcohol that I have for her.

"Thanks, guess this'll do." She grabs the glass and drinks it all in one go.

She placed the glass on the table and I smirk.

"Hm, is this some sort of drinking contest?" I ask.

"If you want, we'll make it one." She gives me a smirk.

"Oh I see, then I'm in." I said.

"You're on." She said.

And so the contest began and the both of us were drinking as much as we can. Five bottles are already empty and neither of us are still giving up. I'm still a little sober after all of the drinking but Raven isn't. She layed her head on the table and groan.

"I.......... giivveee." She slurred.

"Heh....... So I'm....... still better at this than you." I said as im trying to keep my balance.

"Why did I evveennn agreed to thiiss..." I said.

"Probably because you're.......... showing off....." She replied.

"I think you should head back now...." I said.

"We're nooot done yet." She said.

"That's enough, Raven." I slowly stand up and almost fall over but I grab on the table to prevent it.

I sigh and massage my temples. Good thing I'm still sober after that, I think staying at an inn for the night right now is a good idea than bringing her back to her tribe which is a bit far away. I pinch the skin of my neck and groan from the pain and now I feel like I'm wide awake.

I lift Raven from her seat and I let her use me as her crutch. We walk out of the bar and I checked on my watch to see its already 10:26pm. We stroll around the area of the town to check if there's an inn that we could stay for the night.

I successfully found one and enter inside. Walking to the counter, I use my right hand to get some lien in my pocket and place them on the counter.

"Just one room, someone has to look after this one." I said referring to the drunk Raven.

"Alright then, your room is no. 12. Here's your room key, sir." The receptionist took the money and hands me a room key.

"Thanks." I simply said and walk up the stairs.

My eyes gaze at the room numbers until I finally saw the right one. I insert the key on the lock and open it, entering then closing it using my foot. I carry Raven to the bed and gently place her there.

"I'll just sit here until you fall asleep." I said sitting on the side of the bed.

"Ugh..... How did Qrow even get used to this drinking?" She sits up holding her head.

"Didn't know you're already sober after that." I said chuckling.

"I'm still tipsy you know." She said.

"I'm tired. I'll go to sleep now." I take off my coat and weapons then placed them beside the couch and lie on down on the said couch.

"Don't tell me you're sleeping there." Raven said.

"I am. And I will." I said.

"You know you can sleep here beside me." She said with a light blush.

"I'm fine, you can have the bed all to yourself. Plus it's only one night that I'll be sleeping here." I replied.

"I insist, you might also fall off there later on." She said.

"Fine.... It's not like I can stop you anyway." I stand up from the couch and approach the bed before lying down beside Raven.

Seconds later, I turn off the lights and close my eyes but sadly, I can't seem to fall asleep so I open them again and sit up.

"Augh..... Now I can't fall asleep." I said.

"Me neither. I guess we should talk for now until we're tired." She said sitting up as well.

"What do you wanna talk about?"

"Hmm, your choice." She said.

"How about I tell you my little secret." I said chuckling as I look into her red eyes.

"That's unusual for you to say, but other than that I want to hear what it is." She said.

I slowly move towards her ear and hold onto one of her shoulders.

"I'm actually in love with you...."

I lean back from her ear and let go of her shoulder then gaze at her eyes to see her face plastering a surprised expression.

"(I hope she isn't mad at me.....)"
