Y/N's POV

"Daddy? Can I ask you something?" Ruby appeared beside me.

"Sure, what is it?" I told her.

"I was wondering if you could bring me to the cliff where my mom is. I just want to talk to her." She said shyly.

I smiled at her and pat her head. Standing up from my seat, I grab her hand and started to walk towards the door. Yang noticed us so she called us.

"Where are you guys going?" She ask while Zwei is on her lap.

"Ruby just wants to visit someone. We'll be back soon in a couple of hours." I said and we exited the house.

We walk on the streets as cars pass by. It is another normal day, we arrive in front of a bullhead and got inside. I told the pilot where are we going and he responded with a nod and we started taking off.

The ride wasn't that exciting but I keep Ruby company so she won't get bored. She keeps pointing outside and asking me what did she saw and I just keep explaining to her. Just by seeing her like this made me happy, relieved. I got a message from Ozpin that they'll be at my home by sunset to hear what I have to explain to him and the others. After another hour, the bullhead landed in Patch and the ramp went down. We got off and we started walking. We enter inside a town first and bought Ruby a drink then proceed to enter inside a forest.

As we walk, o could feel Ruby's grasp tighten. I look at her and smiled, she looks back at me and this made her worried face disappear.

"Don't worry, they won't come to attack us. You'll be safe with me." I said to her.

We continue to walk through the woods until we finally reached the cliff. Where her mother's grave is, I let go of her hand and she proceed to run towards the grav stopping in front of it. I walk to her and stand beside her as I listen to watch she says. Every word she said made me smile. I'm glad that I gave her and Yang the happiness she needed, this is all they wanted. Where could've Tai been all this time? I guess we'll never know. While Ruby continues to talk to Summer, I began thinking about the events that had happened to me and my friends in the past. It sure has been great having them. My train of thoughts kept going until I suddenly noticed that Ruby is done talking and is looking at me with a worried face.

"Are you okay?" She asked me concerned.

"I'm fine Ruby, just spaced out that's all." I said.

"Me and mom are done talking now, let's go home daddy." She said reaching her hand to me.

I hand her hand and smiled at her.

"Yeah, let's go home." The both of us walked back in the forest and to the bullhead and got back home.

No missions had occurred for me this week, I guess I'm a bit lucky. Looking at the time, it's only been five o'clock. Yang and Ruby are playing with Zwei while Raven is out of town.

"This is what I wanted." I told myself.

I went to the kitchen and took a seat on the dining chair. For a moment, my head started to ache. I laid my head on my hands and started to massage my temples, but the pain is still there. After a moment it soon disappear and I was all right again. Sighing, I stand up and go grab a glass of water then drank it. I heard the door open and close assuming that Raven is back.

She walks in the kitchen and saw me, she smiled and walked up to me giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Where did you went?" I ask her.

"Just visited Qrow in some bar. He never changes." She sighs.

"You don't have to worry about that, also can you tell Ruby and Yang to stay upstairs?" I said.

"Why? What's wrong?"

"Ozpin and the others are coming here, remember?"

"Oh, can you tell me why haven't you told us about this back then?" She looks at me concern.

"I just don't feel like telling you yet." I said.

"But do you now?"

"........ Yeah, I do." I replied smiling a little.

"I'll go tell Yang and Ruby to play upstairs instead." She walks out of the kitchen and in to the living room.

As I'm alone in the kitchen again, my mind started to think. I look at my hands as I question myself.

"(Is this really a good idea?)"

I turn around and walk out of the kitchen and to the door outside my house. Holding the door knob, I turn it and pulled it. I step outside and look above me, the sky is orange they'll be here soon. Little did I know that John was already there looking at me worried.

"Hey man, you all right? You seem odd." He said.

"Huh? Sorry, I didn't noticed you were there already. I'm fine, you don't have to worry." I said with a small smile.

"Is it that curse bothering you?" He said.

"I don't know. It's probably that or not, no one needs to know." I looked down.

"You remind me of someone. I remember those things that he said about not being so sure about what's going on in his mind. He also said the same words as you said just know. It made me sad thinking about." He said with sadness in his voice.

"I'm sorry for saying that. He must be very dear to you, right?"

"Yeah, he is... Oh there's Ozpin, we should talk alone like this soon." He said.

I gaze at Ozpin who looking at me with his serious expression. I sighed and just open the door for them to enter. He walks passed me but before I heard him say.

"We both know this is for the greater good." He then enters inside followed by John.

Soon, everyone else came and we all entered inside. They sit on the couch as I stand by the door, thinking about this once again. There's no turning back now, I enter inside the living room which made everyone look at me.

"I'm going to tell you all what it is but on one condition, is that all right?" I ask holding my glove about to remove it.

"Fine, as long you tell us we'll help in any way to remove it." Ozpin answered calmly.

"Good." I said.

I look at my gloves and slowly, I remove it and put them in my pocket. I showed them the crest and this made Arthur surprised.

"That mark, it's from the book right?" He said.

"It is, I remember the demon explaining to me that it will activate once I get near the book. That's why I'm asking all of you, don't come near that book or something horrible might happen." I explained.

"Do you know what will happen if we do?" Karra asked.

"The demon didn't tell me, all I could imagine is something bad will happen. Just don't help me with this mission of mine. It's better that way." I said.

"Are you kidding me, we're not going to lose you for that. That's why we're here, to help you. You're our friend, we don't want to lose you like Summer." John said.

"Lose me like Summer, huh? I'm fine with that, after all it is my fault that we lost her." I said looking down.

"What do you mean? Please tell us." Ozpin said.

"Remember that time me and her were on a mission? Well turns out that was the day I got cursed and at the same time, lose Summer." I told them.

They all had surprised expressions and soon turned into sad ones. Raven stands up and hugs me.

"Well it isn't your fault that we lost her, and I know she would say the same thing to you. We're going to help you and remove that curse inside and we'll all be happy and normal." She said smiling.

"....... Heh.... Thanks... everyone ." I said smiling sadly.

"(I am thankful that I have people like them around me.)"

"So how do you like being the current wielder huh?"

"It's good, now I can get what I want and make those bastards pay."

"Good, that's what I like about you. So shall we proceed now? Taiyang?"

"Yes, we should."
