This is your year.
October 1990, Sydney Australia.
Steven's third daughter was 1 and their Teresa was pregnant again with a boy! He was beyond shook... I'd never seen him so eager to come home. Now that he'd been a good three years sober, he was truly starting to become a family man.
If it could work for him it could work for anyone. I couldn't help but think about having kids again.
The tour was ending in a couple days, I'd be 24 in a couple weeks, after all the shit from the past two years I honestly did feel better about it.
Now Slash being ready was a whole different story...He had straightened himself up since the last time I had gotten pregnant but his demons were definitely still there. And I told myself when I get pregnant Im taking it more seriously than I did before.
" Thank you Sydney!" Steven yelled from the stage, after what felt like 5 encores...it was the last show of the Pump tour. Him and the rest of the band came running into the dressing room.
" Damn, y'all killed it out there!" They looked so relieved but proud.
" Another tour down in the book of Aerosmithism," Steven said, then threw me something, " You want a souvenir, Rose?"
" What the hell is this?"
" Well it looks like some granny panties with some excitement in the middle."
" Oh sh-" I threw them back at him, laughing and heading to the bathroom to wash my hands.
" I got more where that came from...I could spice it up with a couple of bras too."
" Jesus Christ, Give it to your tour manager or somethin'..." he chuckled and sat down in his chair.
" You ready to go home?" I asked, taking off his makeup.
" And see my wife? Abso-fuckin-loutely my dear. Aren't you?"
" Yeah. I miss home a lot. You know Ive been married for seven months and I've seen my own husband like three or four times this year."
" That's show business though babe...plus he's just starting his fame right now. And when you're busy on the road, it makes coming home even more special."
" You're right, I hope he's doing okay."
" What are you gonna do for your birthday, huh? Big 24..."
" Don't say that, Im sure 24 is nothin different from 23..." I laughed.
" What do you mean don't say that? Shit, when I was 24 we signed with Columbia records! Its almost 1991. This could be your year, babe. Don't sell yourself short."
" I guess you're right."
