" You may kiss the bride."
Those words. Finally, those words. Those words that I've been itching to hear for too long. I can remember the adrenaline rush I had just waiting for that moment. When he pulled me in, as close as he could and kissed me for as long as I could remember. My heart pounded as my ears filled with everyone screaming and cheering of family and friends. I remember looking over at Steven and Duff, and they were cheering like they would at a beer pong party. Steven looked so proud. He cried. Mom did too.

It was finally happening, and soon after we were in each others arms. The troubles melted for a while, and we had a chance to stop and enjoy each other, and be thankful. It was just so fucking beautiful.

After sending him to rehab, it didn't go well the first time, which, like I said wasn't unusual. But he told me he knew his limitations, at the time I didn't believe him. Until he freaked himself out, where he passed out with a shot of adrenaline right to his heart. He put matters into his own hands, and then one night, he said, " How 'bout that wedding?"
We'd held it off, and along with that came some huge regrets and mistakes in our own life's, that caused us to question our relationship altogether. And it's a life lesson for me and him, and I think the answers was just that we were young and restless. I mean we still are, don't get me wrong there. But we have grown knowing that our mistakes made us who we are right now, hand in hand, saying our vows and exchanging rings. And I couldn't be more happier starting this new life with him. It was a new life in a new era.

Slash and I were far from traditionals; we didn't like rules. He didn't dig tuxedos too much and I was totally down with that, but my dress was still while, laced and long. Steven indeed walk me down that aisle, and that must have been one of the best moments in his life, because he cried, and his eyes were just filled with joy. I'd never seen him so happy. It was a pretty big crowd, and it made it really fun actually. His kids were also a part of the wedding, too. It was outside, with lots of red and white roses.

Then came the reception. At 5:00 the guests started to arrive. TONS. We danced, we ate, we mingled. We had a toast led by Duff and Steven, oh and did I mention that Slash's younger brother Ash designed the art for the programs? It was pretty perfect. We ate some of the most delicious food, posed for pictures with guests and then talked....a lot.
We cut the triple-decker chocolate cake, and of course the garter......then the boys and I cheered with some wine for good memories.
I felt so beautiful and happy, all of my friends there, and sharing memories we had made of how we met. I was just madly in love. everything felt right. Really right.
Dancing was quite bizarre, but I had the best time ever on the dance floor. Especially when the conga line took place.
Mom came to the wedding and reception with her new girlfriend, Misty. She said she had never been more happier being in a relationship with a woman (rather than a man). She said that she had gotten off her cocaine issue and had been working at a cable company halftime and a tattoo shop the other. I thought, hey that's cool.

The bride and groom dance was probably one of the best parts of the reception. My dress swept on the floor, his eyes gazed into mine, our hands and arms wrapped around each other, and the music echoing in my ear--my life was perfect at that moment. Duff was with this girl named Kim, Steven Adler danced with this girl he liked at the wedding, Izzy and Axl were invited, but neither of them showed up. Slash didn't talk too much to Steven, which I found sort of odd, but I thought that I would ask him about it later.

At the end of the night, we headed out of the venue with everyone gathered up to the car, taking us home. They threw flowers at us as we exited, ending the night by throwing a bouquet and waving goodbye to the guests.

Once we got in, I sighed, slash winced, " Well Hello there, Rose Hudson."
I couldn't help but smile, and we were in each others arms until we reached home.
