Third Person's POV

After leaving the beach, the kids and the digimon made their way into a forest and started walking hoping to find other humans.

As they walk, Herissmon stops walking and looks behind getting the feeling of someone watching "Herissmon? What's the matter?" Brody asks seeing Herissmon stop and the others stop as well but Herissmon didn't respond "Herissmon!" Agumon shouts startling Herissmon "Ah! Oh... sorry everyone I just thought I felt someone watching" Herissmon said "Someone watching?" Brody asks "But there's no one around" Matt said "Yeah. Still..." Herissmon said looking down "It's okay Herissmon. You're probably just thinking that because of Shellmon since we just left the beach" Brody said "Is that so...?" Herissmon asks unsure "Yeah. You're probably overthinking it" Tai said patting Herissmon "Hm..." Herissmon said and Agumon walks up to Herissmon "Come on. Cheer up!" Agumon said poking Herissmon's cheeks making him giggle "Stop that" Herissmon said smiling and Agumon smiles "There we go! I don't like seeing you down" Agumon said happy "Yeah" Herissmon said smiling and pokes Agumon's cheeks making him giggle "Hey! You're copying me!" Agumon said giggling "Hehe payback" Herissmon said giggling and kept poking Agumon's cheeks. Everyone else was watching this smiling "it looks like they really like each other" Sora said referring to love "They do" Biyomon said "Aww that's so cute" Mimi said and once the two digimon stopped playing everyone resumes walking.

Eventually the group decided to stop and take a break once they were far enough from the beach "So it's as Biyomon said? You two love each other?" Tai asks "Yup! Herissmon and I are.... are um...what was it?... it's on the tip of my tongue" Agumon said "Boyfriends silly" Herissmon said giggling "Yeah that!" Agumon said "That's good" Brody said "What about you two?" Herissmon asks "Huh?" Tai asks "Are you and Brody boyfriends, Tai?" Agumon asks making Brody and Tai blush brightly and Agumon and Herissmon were obliviously waiting for an answer "N-no. We aren't" Brody said and Tai nods "Oh I see" Agumon and Herissmon said. The other kids though were looking at Brody and Tai with unamused looks "What are you guys looking at?" Tai asks still blushing "Nothinggg" The others said.

After that and after Brody and Tai stopped blushing, everyone had just finished eating and were making small talk when suddenly everyone hears a rumble in a bush "What was that?" Tai asks "It came from that bush" Izzy said "Something's coming" Herissmon said and from the bushes a....digimon? Appears.

It was in fact a being called Spiral in the form of Woodmon, but the digimon weren't aware of this "Ah! It's a digimon!" Tk said "No. That's not a digimon" Patamon said "What?" Matt asks "It looks like a woodmon but it's not. It's another of those strange creatures" Gabumon said "Strange creatures?" Tai asks "Yeah! They take the form of any digimon" Agumon said "...." The Spiral was just standing silently "What is it doing?" Sora asks "...?!" When the Spiral saw Herissmon it charges at Herissmon and swats him away from the others "Ow!" Herissmon said "Herissmon!" Brody and Agumon said. The Spiral strikes Herissmon using Branch Bash "Agh!" Herissmon said in pain "Leave him alone! Pepper Breath!" Agumon fires at the spiral but it ignores Agumon focused on Herissmon "it ignored Agumon?" Tai asks "It seems focused on Herissmon" Matt said "But why?" Izzy asks "Lightning Quills!" Herissmon fires at the spiral "...?!" The spiral got hit but it didn't faze them and strikes Herissmon again "oh uh..." Herissmon said "Herissmon!" Brody runs towards Herissmon and the Spiral "Brody!" Tai said suprised "It's dangerous to get near them!" Matt said but Brody didn't care and grabbed a rock and threw it at the Spiral even though it didn't hurt it "Leave him alone!" Brody said "Brody" Herissmon said "...!" The Spiral turned to Brody and was about to swing at Brody "Brody!" Herissmon said worried and Brody's digivice and Herissmon start glowing.

"Herissmon digivolve to....Filmon!" Herissmon said digivolving to Filmon.

Filmon runs past the Spiral grabbing Brody and taking him back to the others really fast "Wow. So fast" Tai said suprised and the others were just as suprised "Filmon?" Brody asks "Thanks Brody but stay here with the others now" Filmon said smiling "Filmon" Agumon said worried and Filmon kisses Agumon's cheek "Don't worry I got this!" Filmon said giving a thumbs up and runs back to the Spiral "Lightning Stinger!" Filmon said striking the Spiral "....?!" The Spiral looked suprised and tries to swing at Filmon but Filmon quickly dodged and went behind the spiral "Crimson Slash!" Filmon whirls in a continuous slashing attack with both claws destroying the Spiral.

Filmon reverts back to Herissmon "Phew" Herissmon said "Good job Herissmon!" Brody said "Hehe thanks!" Herissmon said smiling and Agumon hugs Herissmon "You were so cool Herissmon!" Agumon said and kisses Herissmon's cheek making Herissmon giggle and blush brightly "Hehe awww stop it. You're making me blush" Herissmon said blushing happily "That creature seemed interested in fighting Herissmon only" Sora said "I wonder why that is" Izzy said "We're not so sure ourselves why that's the case" Tentomon said "Well we can worry about that later and get back on track" Tai said while putting his hands behind his head "Yeah. We won't get anything done just standing around, I'm sure we'll figure it out sooner than later" Brody said "It's the best we can do" Matt said "Alright! Let's get moving then" Tai said and everyone nods and start walking.

What the kids and the digimon didn't know is that this wouldn't be the last time they would run into the mysterious Spirals and their true motives will be revealed later on.
