A/N -- So originally this was supposed to be 35 chapters plus an epilogue, but I'm loving the response it's getting so I'll give you 40 chapters plus an epilogue or 39+Epilogue. Now on to the story 😃😃😃
---Shreya's POV---
"Atif!" I yelled looking around the house for him.
This is house is so big, I complained to myself.
I finally found him sitting outside working on his project. Why is this idiot out here? It's about to rain!
"Guess what?" I said sneaking up behind him.
He ended up spilling his iced tea on his shirt.
"Damn it Shreya," he said.
Oh my God. I remembered that it was him I accidentally bumped into two times.
"Your gonna have to get me a shirt," he said taking it off. "You should hurry. You know our neighbors will enjoy this view."
Stupid son of a b*tch. If he can act like that, then I'm his wife. I can be like that too!
"Let them. Even I'm enjoying it," I said with a wink leaving him suprised.
I went back and got another one and threw it at his face.
"What the hell women?" He questioned.
I ignored that and told him that I needed to talk to him.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Inaaya and Aarav are getting married. She just called yesterday and came to give the invitation today," I said.
"See he's always delaying everything," he said.
"At least he's getting married," I said.
"True," he said.
"The ceremony is a month from now," I said.
"Well, that's good enough I guess," he said.
I decided to switch the topic.
I put my head on his chest and watched him work.
"Your going to Canada?" I asked.
"Yes babe. I have to go. I wish I had a choice," he said.
I turned to face him. I knew his parents retired a few days back and he has to handle everything.
"You won't be like your parents nah? I'll still see you right?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Of course you'll still see me. Shreya, your my wife, if this keeps me away from you then I'll make you come with me," he said.
"I have a job here!" I said.
He laughed at that.
It started to rain all of a sudden and we had to run inside since he had his laptop, phone, basically everything outside.
Thankfully I didn't get to wet. Atif, on the other hand did, since we wanted me inside right away. He kept going to get his things. The doorbell rang and I left to get it.
"Hey bhabi. Long time no see," Aarav said.
"Hey, come on in," I said.
---Atif's POV---
That's two shirts that got wet today. I realized during the first one that the person who spilled drinks on me was Shreya and I laughed at that.
I took it off assuming it was a random person at the door who would leave after asking if we wanted to buy something.
But nope. It was my friend who has the worst timing possible!
"Oh. I didn't know you two were busy. I understand, the weather is really romantic," he said.
I'm gonna kill him.
"Shut up! It's because of the rain," I said.
"Well, I won't be too long. I just came to drop this off," he said.
It was an invitation for the wedding.
"We got one already," Shreya said.
"Ya, but you have to come from my side," he said.
"We'll see," I joked with him.
"Now, I'll leave you two alone. Make me an uncle fast," he said leaving.
"Tell Ryan! He's been married longer!" I yelled after him.
I saw him laughing as he left.
"I'm sorry for him," I said.
"It's okay. I loved your response though about asking Ryan," she said.
I laughed at that.
"It's true though. He has been married longer," I said.
She nodded in agreement.
"Now I have to find something to wear for the wedding," she said.
I pulled my wallet out since it had gotten wet.
"Look my credit card and my entire wallet are already crying," I joked.
"Shut up! You know I pay for own stuff," she said.
"I know," I said.
