"Can you repeat that again? Dongho and I weren't supposed to be set up together?"
Nayeon confirmed once more as she didn't believe what she was hearing. Yeeun nervously bit her lip as she nodded quietly as she replied back with an apologetic tone, "I know you guys clicked well. But the people who are in charge didn't know that there was a mistake in the files. They want to minimize any issues that you guys might have in the future."
Nayeon stared at her steaming cup of coffee as she was still confused on what kind of mistake this was. Yeeun was confused herself but she was to carry out the plan that she was to originally carryout. The chilly weather didn't help at all as Yeeun nervously played with her own fingers as Nayeon didn't seem to respond at all. But after a few minutes of quiet, she finally responded with a confident voice, "I don't want to break it with Dongho. He's such a diligent man, and I find the potential. I am fully aware that Dongho didn't want to break it with me either."
Yeeun nodded without thinking as she was admitting to the fact that Dongho really seemed to like Nayeon. Their agency never makes mistake, and she was sitting in the firezone of it all. Nayeon stood up first before fixing her hair and outfit before adding another comment coldly, "Tell your agency that I don't plan on breaking up with Dongho, and we are happy the way that we are. We will sue the agency if you guys continue to meddle into our relationship. And I will pay for the coffee today, goodbye."
She walked ahead as her heels clicked loudly against the floor as Yeeun muttered her own failures under her breathe as she failed the one task that Woozi ever gave her. She knew that she couldn't really do anything as now she would need to face the higher person above Woozi. That person seemed more intense and fierce than Woozi in which she was risking her new position for that.
She kept her head down before a phone call came in, and she already knew who it was. She sighed heavily before answering the voice with a hopeful tone, "Hello?"
"How did it go?"
"Wendy, what do you think?"
There was a heavy sigh from the other end as Yeeun suspected that Wendy had some hope in her to get the job done. But since she was not able to, Wendy cleared her throat before replying back quietly, "Woozi wants you to come into the office right now."
"I'm going to get some lunch since I haven't eaten anything since I woke up. Did you want anything?"
"Um, I'm good. Just hurry up."
Yeeun hung up quietly before walking out of the cafe with a hopeless expression as the waiter wondered why Nayeon seemed extremely angry while Yeeun seemed like she lost the entire world. She headed over to her favorite cafe spot to grab something to eat before heading back to her doom. She waited in line quietly as she hummed to herself before bumping into someone in front of her as there was slight push from behind. She turned to see if there was anyone but no one was behind her. But she turned her attention back to the person in front, who was peering down at her confusingly as she smiled apologetically, "Sorry, I tripped."
The male doesn't respond before placing his attention back at the cashier to order. But she realized that the cashier kept repeating the same question as the male confusingly scratched his head to wonder what the food would be. Yeeun cautiously stood next to the male and asked nicely, "Do you know what the food is here?"
The male looked at her as if she was a tiny child before replying back quietly, "I don't know anything here."
Yeeun turned to the cashier and replied back, "It seems that he hasn't been here before. Can you place the order under my name and get the same thing that I usually get?"
The cashier nodded before placing in the order, and walked away to get her drink. She turned around to face the male once more, who was grimacing at the thought of it as she asked carefully, "Are you okay?"
"I can't believe mere humans eat this kind of thing. Ugh, I can't wait to go back."
Yeeun blinked confusingly as she had no understanding of what the male was talking about. She scoffed a little before replying back confidently, "Then you need to pay me for what you got. I can't believe you just said that to me."
The male placed his hand out before placing a gold coin into Yeeun's palm as he responded back, "This is real gold. If it isn't, yell at the sky and I will pay you something greater."
Yeeun was dumbfounded at what she was supposed to look at before her order comes out, and the male swiftly took one of the bags and left the cafe. She followed after him after she got her own order before yelling out angrily at the back of the male, "Hey, this amazing food isn't worth one coin. There are paper bills that you need to use to pay."
The male turned his attention towards her as he then tossed her five more gold coins. He scoffed and replied back arrogantly, "This will get you a full house back from where I am. Be grateful, peasant."
He then smirked before walking away with the brown bag from the cafe in his hands. Yeeun stood there, with her mouth open from the shock of how rude the male was. But before she could follow after him, he turned towards the corner and disappeared within seconds. She couldn't believe her own ears as she was so dumbfounded before she glanced at the six gold coins in her palm. She yelled angrily at the sky, "I hope you rot in hell!!!"
