Minhyun arrived early to the office the next day despite drinking wine the previous day. Woozi groaned multiple times as they made their ways towards their offices as he grunted angrily to himself, "He really has to relax."
Minhyun ignored his comment as he started to page Lia for all the information that took place in each branch. Wendy and Jisoo both made their way towards Woozi's office as they have begun their matchmaking processes. Woozi checked off each of the lists before making the final decisions that some should be re-checked and the rest could be sent up to Minhyun. Wendy made her way towards Minhyun's office and made sure that all the files were neatly organized before knocking on the door.
Minhyun allowed her inside as she walked towards his desk and handed the folder of the confirmed soulmates. Minhyun was checking each one before he asked, "How are the new interns in each branch?"
Wendy nodded with a smile as she replied confidently, "I have reports that each nation has the ideal intern with great personalities. Especially the one in Bejing right now, all the nymphs really love Dejun because he is super hard working."
Minhyun nodded in response before adding another question, "What about our main branch?"
Wendy laughed a nervous chuckle in which Minhyun could sense that something seemed quite off before he added coldly, "If she makes a mistake, this will be the most negative image towards our brand and my mother will not be happy."
"Of course! Of course! It's just that Yeeun is very cheerful and sometimes too optimistic that she gives way too much hope to the clients...and sometimes she messes up on the charts but I always make sure to check before submitting them to Woozi."
Minhyun stopped checking through the files as he turned his face towards Wendy as his gaze turned dusty and cold. Wendy immediately felt a cold tingle hit the back of her neck as she was now well aware that he was not convinced by her comments. Wendy could sense his upsetting nature as she quickly tried to change the subject by adding with a cheer, "But she is a great worker. I promise you! The best we have!"
Minhyun let out a sneer before he replied back brutally, "I know that she's always late."
"Except that."
"And she's always dozing off at her desk at 5pm."
"That too."
"And.."
Minhyun knew well too much as Wendy was now at a losing loss to the debate. She stopped him continuing; Wendy had her hands up to surrender as she replied back with a complain, "Yes...she does have some lacking points. But her attitude and mindset is always the best!"
"She was writing things on her computer of reviewing each chicken place that you guys order from. What kind of mindset is that?"
Wendy laughed nervously as she lifted her shoulders to let out a relaxed shrug before replying back with a nervous whisper, "Hungry for more clients?"
Minhyun closed the filed loudly and this makes Wendy jump back slightly as she did not expect it at all. She held onto her chest to breathe as she tried to collect her balance as Minhyun stood up as he adjusted his tie, "I want her out."
"But, it takes a long time for a new intern to come in-"
"I'll give you a month. Find a new intern and kick her out by then. I don't need my mother down in the office to fix this issue when we can stop it from here."
Wendy stammered as she tried to convince his mind to change, "But, Minhyun! We really need to-"
Minhyun rejected to listen as he sat back down on his seat and turned his attention away from Wendy and towards the files. Wendy knew she wouldn't be able to change his mind before bowing quietly as she obeyed his word before making her way out of the office. Jisoo was standing close to the door when Wendy opened it, making them both jump and yelp in shock. Wendy hushed the other as she quickly closed the door as she angrily whispered, "What the hell are you doing?"
Jisoo let out a smug smirk as she asked annoyingly, "He dislikes Yeeun too?"
Wendy rolled her eyes and replied back sadly, "Yes..but she's a great person..just with bad work ethics."
"This is her first and only job. Why do you think she's the perfect person for it?"
Wendy and Jisoo made their way down the hallways, walking past Woozi's office with Woozi dozing off against his chair silently. Wendy pressed the button to enter the elevator before replying back sincerely, "She stuck around the longest when other people quit. And she manages the angry and selfish clients as well. Who else do you think has the patience to do that?"
Jisoo nodded with a slight pout as she knew Wendy was correct. Yeeun was the only one who could calm a raging client down because Wendy and Jisoo never had the power to connect with clients. Jisoo shrugged her shoulders before pressing the button towards down to the lobby where their transportation was located at. She replied back mindlessly, "Guess we have to find someone new to do the same things."
