<Katniss's POV>

After I finally calm down I tell Haymitch that I'm okay(this is a lie) and that I am going home(also a lie).

Instead of going home when I open Peeta's door I walk right out of the victors village and into the one place I have always felt safe. The woods.

I walk deep into the forest and when I finally get tired I sit on a rock and just stare at the ground for what seems like hours.

The winter air feels nice but when I realize I am still not wearing shoes I decide to go back home.

My feet are so numb I don't even feel them hitting the ground with each step I take. When I finally see my house I smile because my feet are starting to hurt.

I run up the steps to my house and open the door. Heat rushes to my feet. Ahhh that's better.

"It's about time you came home brainless, I was about to get worried. Just kidding I've never felt like that before.

I know this voice can only come from one person.

Johanna Mason.

<Peeta's POV>

My side aches, but I don't care. I deserve it. I almost killed Katniss. I love her so much. I am devastated that I hurt her but it had to be done.

I just want to stay here alone with no one to accompany me.

"Hey there Mr. Mellark!" Says a happy voice from behind me. So much for my plans. Fate has another idea. Fate has brought me one of the people that hasn't been in one of my shiny memories.

Finnick Odair is standing in my doorway.
