kelsey and i walked off the plane hand in hand. i'm back home in indiana hoping to work things out with my dad. my sister kiare is picking us up.

i saw her wave us over and kelsey excitedly ran over to her hugging her. i love the bond that have with each other. it makes me feel better that they welcomed her not only because she's a girl but because she's white.

"hey big sis" kiare said hugging me.

"hey sis" i said putting my stuff in her trunk.

"so are you nervous ?" kiare asked me as she looked over at me and then back at the road.

"absolutely.. yk dads hardcore" i said shaking my head.

"well i can't wait to meet him and your mom" kelsey said from the back seat.

5 minutes later we pulled up to my parents house. i got out and we decided to just come back for our stuff later.

"JACKIE" my mom yelled making me smile.

"hii mommy" i said hugging her.

"omg, you look beautiful baby".

"thank you mama" i smiled.

"and you must be kelsey".

"yes ma'am" kelsey said shyly.

"omg jackie has told me so much about you. your all she ever talks about" my mom said making me shake my head cus kels didn't even need to know all that fr lol.

"mom" i said laughing.

"wheres dad ?" i asked.

"back yard" she said.

"yeah go talk to your dad i wanna talk to kelsey. come would you like anything ?" she asked grabbing kelsey's hand and leading her to the kitchen.

i walked to the back yard where i saw my dad sitting by the pool. i took a deep and walked out to sit beside him.

"hey dad" i said. he quickly looked over at me and then back at the pool.

"hey jacqueline" he said making me sigh.

"what are you doing here ?" he asked.

"i came to see yall.. and talk to you, you wasn't answering my phone calls" i said.

"yup i know. for a reason" he said.

"dad i don't understand what's wrong with me playing pro basketball.. it's what i love and it makes me happy" i said.

"and i support that.. im glad you followed your dreams but you act like you don't even have a family".

"i do not.. when i left college i told you and mom. when i was in college i called EVERYDAY. just because im not home a lot doesn't mean i don't care about yall" i said.

"yeah" he said.

"what is it about me that's a disappointment dad ? the fact that im bisexual ? because she treats me right and makes me happy."

"and me leaving college early to go pro was to help my family. i did that so that you and mom didn't have worry about money problems anymore" i said.

"dad i just want you to except me as your daughter the way i am. why's is so hard for you to love me".

"i do love you jackie. i will love you until i take my last breath. im sorry for how i acted.. ik i wasn't very supportive i was worried about losing you and you that you playing pro ball is the best decision for you" he said making me smile.

"i don't care about you having a gf.. i was too caught up in you forgetting us" he said.

"dad.. you guys are my family i could never forget you. you and mom sacrificed so much for us and now i wanna show yall how much i appreciate you guys" i said.

"i love you baby girl. i would love to fix our relationship" he said making me smile.

"i love you too dad.. i would love that as well" i said hugging him.

"YAYY" we heard. i look back and saw kelsey and my mom.

"oh dad this is my gf kelsey" i said.

"kels this is my dad" i said.

"i love your family so much" i said as we laid in her bed in her old room.

"im glad it worked out my love" she said kissing my forehead.

"i can't wait for you to meet my family" i said making her look away.

"what ? you don't wanna meet my family ?" i asked.

"it's not that baby.. it's just yk im shy & stuff. what if they don't like me" she said.

"bae stop, their gonna love you i promise" i said. we both saw our phones go off so we knew it was the gc texting.

"who fault it is yo mama can throw down ?" i said making her laugh.

"im proud of you tho yk that ?? ik it took a lot for you to come here and fix it with your dad and im glad you did" i said.

"thank you baby.. and thank you for coming with me to comfort me cus lord knows i wouldn't be able to do it by myself"

"if you wouldn't have forced me to do this dragged me to the airport it wouldn't have happened.. so thank you" she said.

"i love you" i told her

"i love you more" she said as we kissed.

"hey guys i'm bored so i came to hang out with yall" kiare said making me smile.

"she use to do this all the time. she still don't know how to knock" jackie said.

"don't be mean.. she's your sister" i said.

"yeah and annoying as h*ll" jackie said.

"girl anyways kels you wanna come swim with me ??" kiare asked.

"ouu i would love too" i said getting up.

"wow so you just gone leave me for her ??" jackie asked.

"well yeah we barely get to see each other" i said.

"ha sucker" kiare said making jackie flip her off.

"okay let's go sis" kiare said grabbing my hand.

we went to the pool to hang out and talk. she's like the sister i never had but always wanted. and even tho we have different skin colors it doesn't change that and i think that makes it 10x better.
