after we hung up i went downstairs to make a fruit bowl. after jackie and i argued in the locker room earlier today she's been calling but honestly ion even know what to say.

i finished making my fruit bowl and went back upstairs to my room to watch netflix.. i gotta catch up on greys anatomy.

i felt my phone vibrate and i saw jackie text me.

jackie: baby answer the phone 😒. we need to talk.

kelsey: im busy.

jackie: kelsey stop playing with me. yo ahh ain't busy you just laying in that bed watching greys anatomy and eating a fruit bowl.

i gasped and looked around.. cus is she in here or sum or did she put a camera in here ?? im confused because why she know that.

kelsey: how yk that ?? 💀

jackie: don't worry about that. can you just answer my phone call so we can talk ??

kelsey: tbh ian got nun to sag jackie.

jackie: okay but we still need to talk it out. if you can't communicate with me about how you feel how's this supposed to work ??

kelsey: i told you how i felt jackie.. you said you needed time so im giving it to you.

jackie: that's not what i meant baby and yk that. you gotta give me time to be comfortable enough but i still wanna be in your skin in vice versa.

kelsey: ohh. well im missing my show so i'll see you later.

jackie: omg mama.. are you serious ??

kelsey: mhmm.

i set my phone down and put it on grey's anatomy. love this show. a few minutes later my phone was buzzing back to back so ik it saw the group chat.

i just looked at the messages and then put my phone on dnd. i wasn't really feeling it so im not gonna go.

i finished my fruit bowl and then went downstairs to wash the bowl and do a little cleaning since i had nun else to do.

"alexa play snooze by sza" i said. the music started and i started cleaning. and that's one thing i learned that when i'm bored I can clean the whole house without getting tired. and it takes my mind off everything.

"i can't lose when im with you, how can i snooze and miss the moment your just to important nobody nobody like you do i can't lose" i sang lowly.

after about 35 minutes i finished cleaning. i headed upstairs to shower and then got into bed.
i grabbed my phone and checked the group messages again.

jackie: i talked to her a little before we texted the gc.. i tried calling she ain't answer. i wanted to give her a little time but im getting worried.

alysha: sb should go check on her.

jackie: im otw!

"omg why do they think something happened to me just bcus ian text back" i said to myself. a few minutes later i heard the door open and jackie's voice yelling.

"KELSEY" she yelled.

"KELS WYAA"

"BABY WYA" she yelled coming into my room.

"omg your okay" she said holding her chest. she came over to me and hugged me tightly.

"im confused" i said.

"you never texted back and we thought something was wrong" she said.

"i was cleaning and i left my phone in here" i said.

jackie🌸.

"i want you to know that i really do love you kels.. and just because im not good at eye contact yet doesn't mean i don't" i said.

"yeah ik" she mumbled looking at her fingers.

"why do you feel like i don't love you ?"

"because usually if your in love with that person it's easy for you to make eye contact with them" she said making me nod.

and hearing it, it made complete sense to me. i just wanted her to tell me that sooner.

"baby i understand that i really do but i want you to understand that im not doing this to hurt you nor am i doing it on purpose."

"i promise i am comfortable with you and i am working on it. i just want you to be able to talk to me even when we have disagreements" i said holding her hands.

"ik i've always been like that.. when my feelings are hurt i just shut down" kelsey said.

"i noticed.. and that's understandable as well but as your gf i want you to know that if i do hurt your feelings you can tell me" .

"thank you mama.. im sorry i shut down on you. i promise i will work on opening up to you and communicating better" she said hugging me.

"thats all i want baby.. im sorry too ik how important it is in relationships and i promise i will work towards that" i said.

"so that means your coming out to eat with us right ?" i asked.

"mm i don't really wanna-

"yeah your going" i interrupted making her laugh.

"so have you talked to your dad ?" kels asked as she wrapped her arms around my waist and laid her head on my chest.

"not yet.. i called 5x and he didn't answer so imma just have to show up there in hopes that he'll let me talk" i said.

"but i thought he wanted you to follow your dreams ? why's he so upset about it ?"

"he realized how much i would be away from home & i guess that's the reason. i love that my dad cares about me that he wants me to be home but me playing pro basketball has been the best choice for me" i said.

"yeah cus why let all that talent go to waste ?" she said making me laugh.

we decided to cuddle for a few because we had time before we had to get ready for the dinner. kelsey and i making up has made my anxiety go down because i was so worried about her.
