Chapter 5: The "Not So Planned" Meeting

THE NEXT DAY

Jamie's POV

I know I shouldn't be out this late, but I had to get out of the apartment. I was in a nice brown coat with a gold scarf, blue skinny jeans, a light blue purse, and brown leather boots just walking the streets at night. I was going crazy because I wanted to meet the turtles really bad. I wasn't looking for trouble or anything so they'd come, but I still want to meet them.

I took a wrong turn and went into an alley way where I got surrounded by Foot ninjas.

"Are you kidding me? Do you guys really wanna start this?" I groaned.

They drew their weapons and I shrugged and put my purse down.

"Alright. You asked for it," I said, getting into a stance.

I fought them off like swatting flies. Once they were all down, I smirked to myself until I heard two voices.

"Whoa, Rocksteady. This chick took out these ninjas like nothing," the first replied.

"I know, Beebs. She's trouble though," the second responded.

"But good looking," the first said.

"My man," they said together.

I turned around and saw Rocksteady and Bebop themselves. They looked way worse than I thought. I groaned again.

"Seriously? First these stupid ninjas are on my butt every now and then. And now, you two morons? Why is this happening?" I complained.

"Ooh I love when they play hard to get," Bebop responded.

"Just shut up so I can kick your butts and leave," I said as I charged.

But unlike the Foot, these guys were tough. I was getting my butt kicked. I was bleeding and hurting all over. Just as I thought I was going to die, I saw blurs of green go back and forth beating them up. Once they ran away, I got up. I knew my heroes were still here; I just couldn't see them. I looked around as I talked.

"I know you're still here. Why are you hiding?" I asked.

"Some people don't like how we look," one voice responded that sounded firm.

"They've called us monsters or freaks," a deep, tough voice added.

"I'm not one to judge appearances. The only monsters or freaks around here are Shredder, anyone who works for him, and those alien invaders," I replied.

"We appreciate that. But we'd prefer not to take that chance," an intelligent-sounding voice said.

"Well, if I tell you my name, will you consider me seeing you?" I asked.

"I think so, dudette," a younger voice answered.

"Okay. My name is Jamie Dabbs," I introduced.

There was silence for a minute.

"Are you Captain Vincent's niece?" the tough voice wondered.

"Yeah? How did you know that?" I asked, slightly confused.

That's when they came out of the shadows. My jaw dropped but had a smile to it. I finally met the turtles who saved the city and me.

Raph's POV

We were out on patrol for a little while until we heard some screaming in an alley. We went over and saw a girl getting beaten up by Rocksteady and Bebop. There were also Foot soldiers lying on the ground unconscious. She must've taken them out before these two idiots came. I went in first and started beating them up. The others soon joined and they ran off. We hid in the shadows to make sure the girl got out safely. But she stuck around.

"I know you're still here. Why are you hiding?" she asked.

"Some people don't like how we look," Leo responded.

"They've called us monsters or freaks," I added.

"I'm not one to judge appearances. The only monsters or freaks around here are Shredder, anyone who works for him, and those alien invaders," she replied.

"We appreciate that. But we'd prefer not to take that chance," Donnie said.

"Well, if I tell you my name, will you consider me seeing you?" she asked.

"I think so, dudette," Mikey answered.

"Okay. My name is Jamie Dabbs," she introduced.

That made everything more clear. This is the girl April was talking about. She was right that I would like her, especially now that I see her. She's beautiful.

"Are you Captain Vincent's niece?" I wondered.

"Yeah? How did you know that?" she asked, slightly confused.

We stepped out in the light to where she could see us. Her mouth opened but had a smile with it.

"Oh my gosh! You're the mysterious heroes of New York!" she whisper-yelled.

"Yeah, that's us. Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm okay," she said, winced, grabbed her stomach, then added, "Maybe not."

"Donnie, let's get her back to the lair," Leo ordered.

"I'll check out her injuries," Donnie responded.

"Let's do this!" Mikey yelled, grabbing his skateboard.

I carried Jamie bridal style all the way back to the lair. She seemed to snuggle closer to my chest, which made me blush a little, but I recovered quickly. We got back to the lair and laid her on the couch. I sat behind it while Donnie helped her get her jacket off and checked her out for anything that hurt her while I was actually checking her out, smirking to myself.

"Okay, slight bruising on her abdomen, a few cuts on her arms and legs, and a slight concussion. Other than that, she's fine," Donnie explained.

As she was getting patched up, she caught me staring at her. I turned away quickly, but she still saw it.

"You like what you see?" she teased.

I chuckled nervously as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Maybe," I answered.

She smiled and blushed a little.

"You know, the whole day I was talking with April, she never mentioned your names," she brought up.

"Oh, yeah. She didn't," Mikey agreed.

"Go for it, Mikey," Leo said.

As he introduced us, he pointed at each of us.

"Okay, over in purple is Donatello, Donnie for short, who is a technical genius, which is technically a genius. Raphael, or Raph, in red, he's like a big, cuddly teddy bear. Who likes to unleash a lot of violence," Mikey started.

Jamie giggled which made me blush again. Dang, this girl makes me really nervous.

"Leonardo in blue, long for Leo, he leads, and is silent but deadly. And I'm Michelangelo, I'm a triple threat. Brains, brawn, and a dazzling personality. Ladies call me Mikey," Mikey finished.

"Are you done?" Leo chuckled.

"Yeah," Mikey answered.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Donnie, Raph, Leo, and Mikey," Jamie said.

"Same with you," I responded.

"Well, I fixed you up. I wrapped your stomach up, disinfected your cuts, and your concussion is gone. The bruise and cuts should take a couple of days to heal," Donnie explained.

"Thanks. I really appreciate that," she said, pulling her shirt back down.

"No problem. It's what we do," I replied.

She tucked some of her hair behind her right ear, smiling. We would glance at each other for a minute then quickly turn away. Then she cleared her throat.

"Well, I've got to go before my aunt freaks out and grounds me again. But will I see you again?" she asked.

"That depends on how much trouble you get in," I smirked.

"Then I might get into some more often," she teased.

"Or you can talk to April," Donnie suggested.

Jamie straightened up, saying, "Oh yeah. Well, I'll see you guys soon."

"Need someone to take you back?" Leo asked.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt," she agreed.

"I'll go," I volunteered then added, "Lead the way, Princess."

"Sure thing, Tiger," she smiled.

I heard the other guys go "Aww!" behind me. I rolled my eyes, but continued to follow Jamie out to the surface. Lucky for me it was still night. We went on the roof tops and went all the way back to her apartment.

A/N They finally met and sparks are flying! I'm so good!

P.S. If I didn't get the introduction word for word, well, I did my best. Lol!
