love affects us all

more often than not .. much more

than we show .. admit

from our time as youths

love seems something to be earned

something paid for .. bought

all love should be free

free to you and free to me

love is a game piece

love .. ridiculous

it's portrayed infinite ways

sometimes .. love's for sale

love .. held as hostage

love as a reward .. a toy

backseat emotions
