Beauty is a sickness.

She will know that later on. But right now, Adelia Lovey (or Addy Love, as they call her nowadays) does not know that her beauty, which she has always held in the palm of her hand, will soon outgrow its little shelter.

Then, it will spread. A sickly bluish-purple, the shade ugly bruises turn after a while, will always linger in the undertones of her skin and in her veins. Beauty in the eye of the beholder, is that not right? For a girl who has always been beautiful, the line between life and death is one she toes without a care in the world. For a girl who has always been beautiful, how can you ever be beautiful enough? Slim and toned soon becomes thin and bird-like, but enough is a concept Addy does not yet understand.

Encouragement does not help. The papers do not help. They love Addy, the paper girl who is paper thin and has a life that does not quite seem real. Addy thinks it's working. That she's going to be beautiful enough, soon.

Beautiful enough for Eddie Roundtree to look at her the same way he looks at Camilla. The way Billy looks at Daisy. The way Graham looks at Karen.

The sickness is spreading faster than Addy realizes, but even if she knew how to stop it . . . would she? Beauty is addicting, and the last person to realize just how much hold something has over them is the caged bird itself.

About the specific details of the book: Love, Addy spans across the entire Taylor Jenkins Reid multiverse, starting from Daisy Jones and the Six, then Evelyn Hugo, and Malibu Rising at the end. Her primary love interests are Eddie Loving and Jay Riva, so while there will be a very heavy romance aspect to this book, my main focus is still on Addy's personal journey. Am extremely excited for this (been in planning since April) and Barbie just gave me more motivation for it so finally, here we are!
