"No, that doesn't look right."I said to Jay."Aren't they all the same?!"Demanded Jay. Last night, I asked Jay if he could help me pick out a ring for Harumi. We had been in the shop for over two hours, and nothing looked good enough."No, Jay! It needs to be perfect!"I exclaimed. Jay groaned."Why did I agree to this?"He mumbled."Because you weren't even listening. You were too busy playing video games."I said."Like you never did that!"He shot back. He got me there. I shook my head."Please Jay. It needs to be-"Perfect."Said Jay. I looked at him."Oh please! Like you aren't going to be like this when you are shopping for Nya's ring!"I said with annoyance."That's different."He muttered. 

I would have said something back to him, but I didn't want to fight. And it was hard not to, with my oni side trying to break free. Even before I knew I was part oni, I always felt like there was a darkness inside of me.....Waiting....For the perfect time to strike. I sighed, thinking about all that. I kept searching for the ring....Until....I found the perfect one.

"This one."I said, pointing at the ring."Excuse me sir."I said. The man at the corner was asleep."Oh! You made your-"Yes I have. And are you supposed to be asleep?"I asked."I would have fallen asleep if I was sitting."Muttered Jay under his breath. I glared at Jay."That will be 6000 please."He said."Jay?"I asked. He groaned."Fine, I'll help you pay. But you have to do the same for me when I am ready to ask Nya."He said. I nodded, then said:"You are going to pick the most expensive one in the shop....Aren't you?"He grinned."You know it! Nothing is too expensive for my mid lady."He said. I sighed."Fine."I said. We handed over the money, and headed out of the shop.

"When are you going to do?"He asked."Don't know. It will take a lot of guts to do it though."I said."But aren't you guys like......Parents already? And you guys love each other like crazy! Of course she will say yes!"He exclaimed. I smiled."Thanks Jay. I just hope I don't mess it up. What if I am going too fast?"I asked."You know what is going too fast? Having a BABY when you guys were at war with each other! Compared to that, this is like baby steps!"He said, almost shouting.

"I don't know. We were both drunk-"How old were you? Like 17?!"He demanded."What? Just because I am the green ninja, doesn't mean I am ALWAYS good!"I exclaimed. He laughed."I can see why she likes you!"he said."What can I say?"I asked."Maybe the oni in you got in control!"Said Jay. I froze."Oh, sorry. I didn't-"It's alright....."I said. We both feel silent. For some reason, I thought about that thug I killed. Was it the oni in me? Is that why I killed him? I didn't really feel anything different.....That's bad....Or was it just me? I bit my lip. We then returned back home.

I hid the ring in my pocket when we got home."Hey Lloyd!"Said Harumi. She then kissed me on the cheek. I smiled."Where did you and Jay go?"She asked."Oh....We just went to the arcade!"I said."Should have invited me.....So I could beat you in all the games there."She said. I laughed a bit."In your dreams, sweetheart."I said, with a smirk. 

Harumi rolled her eyes."Well, I am glad you are home.....Lea needs a diaper change."She said, with a smirk of her own. I groaned."Have fun!"She called out. She then left the room. I looked at Jay."Oh no! I already have done a favor for you, no more!"He cried out. He then hopped on the couch, and started to play video games. I sighed. I then slowly, and VERY slowly went to change Lea's diapers.

"Harumi?"I asked."Yes, Lloyd?"She asked."I-uh....Nothing."I said. I then dashed away. I put my hands in my face.

Why didn't you ask her?"Asked Kai. I jumped."Kai! You scared the shit out of me!"I cried out."You always were a sca-"What are you doing?"I asked."Never mind."I said."So why didn't you?"He asked."I don't know!And how do you know that I was going to-"Jay."He replied. I groaned."Jay."
I mumbled."So, why didn't you?"He asked."I just froze....And it wouldn't work anyway. I need to come up with something.....To show that she is the most important person in my life."I said."I am sure you will come up with something.....And I will help you."He said."Well, you did help Jay.....I am in."I said.

"Yeah......No."I said."What's wrong with my plan?"He asked."For one, I am pretty sure that Harumi is not going to like getting ask to marry her in front of the noodle house, where you and Skylor went on your first date........First date! FIRST DATE!"I cried out."Am I missing-"I got it! Thanks Kai, your terrible plan made me think of one!"I said."It was not-"I was already out of the room. Now, all I have to do is have the guts to do it. I sighed.

"Harumi, I love you. I love you more than-"I ended up laughing."What?"Asked Kai in a woman's voice."Did-did you do anything like this while helping Jay?!"I asked. Kai was helping me have the guts to ask her, so he was dressed like her."No. But Jay dared me to do it. And I can't go back on a dare!"He exclaimed."Now, try and not to laugh-"Wait.....Do the others know that I am-"Just Jay and Skylor."He said."Okay.....You told her?"I asked."I was running out of things to talk about! What was I supposed to do?"He asked."Keep your damn mouth shut!"I yelled. I started to hit him with a comic in my hands."Ow! Ow! Ow! Cut it out!"He cried out. I then took out my phone and took a picture of him. I then sent the photo to Skylor."Who did you send that to?"He asked."To your girlfriend!"I exclaimed."You WHAT?! Oh, you are going to get it!"He cried out."That's for not keeping your mouth shut!"I said.

"What are you so worried about?"He asked."What if Skylor and Harumi are hanging out, and it just slips? Skylor is a gossiper, right?"I asked."Lloyd, you need to relax. It won't slip....And she will say yes, you do know that, right?"He asked, getting serious.

"No. I don't. Kai, this would be different if she was a different girl. I killed her parents-"Oh. So this is what it's about. The snake."He said."Why wouldn't it? Why would she say yes to a person that killed her parents? Why would anyone?"I asked."Lloyd, you were small, annoying, bratty-"How is this helping?"I asked."Sorry. What I am saying, is that you were a kid. You didn't know any better."He said."I thought it was all a game. That no one would get hurt. But people did, and it's all my fault. Why would she ever say yes?!"I demanded. 

I looked t Kai."If she doesn't say yes.....Which she will, how will that work? With Lea?"He asked. He put his hand on my shoulder."It takes no sherlock to know that you two are meant to be together, you need to believe that. And don't let this one mistake ruin your life. It's a mistake, and it's the past."He said. I sighed."You are sure?"I asked."100%."He said. I smiled."Thanks."I said. I snorted."Sorry. I just can't look the same way at you when you are wearing the mother of Lea's clothes on!"I said. He groaned."Jay is going to get the dare of his lifetime for this!"He exclaimed. I laughed.

"Rumi, wanna go on another date?"I asked."Sure."She said. After we both got ready, we headed to a place to eat."The food is so good here!"She exclaimed. I nodded. After I paid the check, I led Harumi to the canals, with a sack full of food to feed the poor."What's in the sack?"She asked."Food. For the poor."I answered."Aw. Like we did on our first date!"She exclaimed."Yep. After we fed the poor, I led her to the bridge. We both stared at the moonlight. I am going to do it. I took a deep breath. 

I took Harumi's hands, and turned her facing me."Harumi Jade. When you came into my life, everything changed. I saw the world a whole different way. I saw more light in the world. And when Lea was born, and when you came back.."I said, shaking my head."I didn't think things could get any better."I said."Harumi, I love you."I added."Wow, Lloyd. Why are you saying this?"She asked. I then kneel on one of my knees. She put her hands over her mouth."Harumi Jade, will you marry me?"I asked.
