Part 65 Repentance

Arvind and Arnav decided to go to the hospital. Khushi wanted to join them. So, she rushed to them.

*Shall I come with you? * she asked them.

Arnav nodded yes.

*Of course, you can join us. After all, you are our family...* Arvind said.

They started to the hospital to meet Raveena.

Health Hospital

Anil was leaning on the wall of the ICU closing his eyes. He opened his eyes when Arvind touched his shoulder. He was stunned, seeing his EX- Father in law in the hospital.

*How is Raveena? * Arvind asked with a dried voice.

*She is ALIVE... just ALIVE... nothing more than that...* Anil said with teary eyes.

*Shall we meet her? * he asked.

*I... I don't know what to say... I don't know how will she feel, seeing you people...* he said, looking down hesitatingly.

*Papa, you go and meet her first... we will be waiting outside* Khushi said.

Arvind looked at Arnav who gestured him to go ahead. Arvind nodded ok.

* One-minute unc...* Anil stopped not completing the word UNCLE which made Arvind feel bad.

*We should get permission from the doctor before entering the ICU. I will just come meeting the doctor* Anil rushed towards the doctor's cabin.

Arvind sighed.

*I never thought a day will come in our life like this. He couldn't even call me UNCLE...* Arvind said sadly.

*I don't know what to say, Dad... Raveena would be guilty... *

*She has to be repenting, Chotte. Does she have any choice? If she doesn't repent even now... she won't be called a woman...* Arvind said wearily.

They saw Anil rushing towards them.

*Let's go, uncle... The doctor permitted us to meet her. he gave us two minutes*

Arvind nodded ok and followed him. he gestured to Arnav to stay there. Arnav nodded ok. Arvind went inside the room and saw Raveena lying on the bed just like a crumpled paper. She was closing her eyes. She might be resting with the help of a pain killer, Arvind thought. Anil advanced her and tapped her cheek gently.

*Ravi... Ravi...* he called her name slowly.

*Mmmm...* Raveena tried hard to open her eyes.

*Your father is here...* he said in a gauzy tone.

Ravenna's head automatically turned towards Arvind. In no time, she cried, closing her face with her palms. Of course, Arvind felt sad for her. His throat drained, seeing her condition. He moved to the bed and clutched her hand. Raveena looked at him. There was a trace of tears occupying her face.

*Stop crying... you are already weak. Don't make your health condition worse* Arvind said feeling helpless.

*Forgive me Dad...* she tried to touch his feet.

*I said don't stress yourself. Won't you listen to me? * Arvind said strictly.

Raveena nodded yes, pressing her lips but she couldn't stop crying. Arvind sat beside her.

*I'm sorry, Dad... I'm a bad woman who turned against the family who celebrated me as their own daughter. I know asking for forgiveness is too much but I want it Dad. I so want to touch Mom's feet to get forgiveness... and also Chotte's... I tried to spoil his life. I was selfish... damn selfish...*

*There is no use in talking about what has already happened. No one of us could change it*

*So... what could we do for it? could we change any of it? No... we can only repent for it... we have no choice... we have to do that for our entire life, Raveena. I really feel sad for Ratna more than I feel for you. Do you know how broken she is...? She is not even ready to meet you the woman who spent most of her time with you in her life*

Raveena cried like hell, closing her face.

*I'm not taunting you...ever... but something should be said... then only it will get its real value... so is my Ratna's sacrifice*

Anil stood, listening to them helplessly.

*Listen to me, Raveena. there is nothing to be thought about it more. Just leave it and be relaxed...ok? *

*Won't Mom come to meet me? *

*I don't know... I won't compel her for anything... you know that very well. But, I believe she will come soon because my Ratna's heart is so soft...* he said gulping down.

Arvind stood.

*I'm leaving...*

Raveena clutched his shirt end.

*Please tell Mom, I asked for her forgiveness...* she said.

Arvind left the room said nothing. Of course, he will say that to Ratna for sure.

When he came out of the ICU, he didn't find Arnav and Khushi there. He looked here and there and dialed Arnav's number. Khushi answered the call.

*Haan, Papa...*

*Where are you Beta? *

*We are at the billing counter. Arnav is paying the bill. That's why he asked me to attend the call*

*That's ok... I'm coming...* Arvind disconnected the call and headed to the pilling counter.

Arnav handed the bill to Arvind.

*Billing is done, Dad...*

Arvind nodded yes.

*Shall we go? *

*How is she? *

*Don't you want us to meet her? * Arnav asked.

*You can meet her later... she is crying a lot...*

Arvind went to her room and told her about Raveena's condition. Ratna stayed calm without reacting to it. Arvind didn't disturb her more. He knew how her thought would be whirling around Raveena. He knew Ratna will forgive Raveena if she meets her because he himself felt very bad for her then non need to say anything about Ratna.

*I feel bad for her...* Khushi said.

*Mmm* Arnav said

*Shall we go to the hospital tomorrow? *She asked.

*Mmm* he didn't deny.

Khushi nodded ok.

*Are not you angry with her? * Arnav asked.

Khushi got stuck.

*Are you? * she questioned him back.

Arnav nodded yes.

*She got the punishment. It would not have been mattered if we got separated by her plan... I can't forget it Khushi*

Khushi sat next to him and circled his bicep.

*But we didn't get separated... she was a snake... I agree but now, she is dead... what's the point in showing our hatred of the dead snake? Not because I want you to forgive her for her... I want you to forgive her only for you, please forgive her. For your peace of mind, forgetting her deeds is important, Arnav*

Taking her hand, Arnav kissed her knuckle.

*I will try... not for her but for you* Arnav smiled.

Khushi nodded ok feeling content.

That's when Arnav's phone rang which was getting charged.

*Wait. I will bring it* Khushi rushed to it.

She passed the phone to Arnav, bringing it.

*Aman's call* she said and sat next to him again.

Arnav swiped the green button and spoke.

*Haan Aman...* Arnav said.

*ASR... Sheetal meet with an accident in the prison*

*Accident in prison? How? * Arnav asked frowning.

*Yes... she touched the high voltage wire unknowingly it seems*

*What did she do with the high voltage wire? *

*I don't know ASR*

*What happened to her? *

*She got a severe wounds on her body. Her right hand has almost burnt it seems*

*Whaaaat? * Arnav was shocked hearing that.

*Yes, ASR. She is admitted to the Government Hospital with Police protection*

Arnav sighed.

*Get the permission to meet her tomorrow*

Aman disconnected the call.

Arnav looked at Khushi who was looking at him with a horrified expression. Arnav circled her shoulders, looking at her innocent eyes.

*Sheetal also got her punishment*

*What happened to her? *

*Leave it... shall I get coffee? *

Khushi nodded yes and left the room. Arnav leaned on the bed thinking about the recent happenings of his life.
