The book is coming to its end and what the fuck am I supposed to do after it? God, gimme some idea. I'm going crazy 😩
A week has passed since Louis was told that they'd be moving to New York, in a month. Well, in three weeks. His sisters were absolutely buzzing because this was the first time they'll be moving out of Europe, although they always found moving to new places interesting, unlike Louis. What is so interesting about it? They were better at making friends than Louis, so of course, moving places wasn't a big deal for them. His parents were already packing up some of their things, they've even found a perfect place for themselves. However, Louis has been holed up in his room for a week now, either crying or getting angry at everyone or anyone. Niall still hasn't talked to him. His life was going downhill.
"Louis?"
"I really don't want to talk, mom." The boy mumbled, wiping the tear that trickled down his nose. "Maybe we'll talk when we reach New York!"
"Louis..." Jay slowly sauntered inside, sitting at the edge of the bed, near Louis' feet. "Baby, I know you are upset-
"Broken." Louis corrected her with a hiss, glaring at the wall behind her. "You kept it from me!"
"I did not know, love." She frowned. "Your dad didn't tell me anything other than him getting a promotion. It was all a surprise. I talked to him, told him that you are not very happy with all of these." She caressed his foot, lovingly. "But it's a great opportunity. For him, for us. Even for you." She tried to negotiate. "Lovely, you know, New York is a big city. And baby, I'm sure you'll make so many friends."
"I don't want to make many friends!" Louis cried. "I want to stay with my true friends here."
"Aw, baby," she cooed. "It's about the lads?"
"Yes!" He huffed, slamming his fist on the bed. "It's just about them. Mom, I love them. They are my first real friends, they actually stayed with me even after all my weirdness!"
"Who said you are weird?" Jay frowned. "Of course, they are the first ones to accept you as you. But there'll be more. Give others the chance-
"No!" He yelled. "No! Never- I'll never give anyone a chance because I end up losing everything because of you people!" He scrambled away from her. "And I'll never ever forgive your husband for putting me through all of this. I hate him." He stood up from his bed, glaring at her. "Just two more years!" With that he stormed off his room, his house.
-
Louis knocked on the door twice, waiting for someone to open it. Although he was paranoid about facing Niall, someone has to do it. He doesn't want to leave the town with Niall ignoring him. A minute later, he heard a soft pitter patter of feet hitting the floor and a very disheveled looking Niall opened the door. It broke Louis' heart more when the boy, out of his character, frowned when he saw Louis. Niall always smiled, brightened when he saw Louis, this is new.
"Is it a good time?"
Niall sighed heavily, nodding, opening the door fully to give Louis access to come in. "I'm sorry, I was sleeping." Louis could see the bags under his eyes, but didn't comment any further, just gave a nod.
"A week, Niall." Louis breathed out, frowning. "I know you are upset-
"Broken." It felt like a déjà vu, however, Louis swallowed the lump and hummed. "When?"
"Huh?"
"When are you.. y'know?" The Irish boy asked quietly.
"In three weeks." He didn't miss the way Niall's breath hitched and just stepped forward, wrapping his arms around the boy. "I'm sorry. Please don't hate me."
"I love you." Niall cried, burying his face in Louis' neck, whimpering. "I didn't leave because I hate you, I didn't want to break in front of you." However, contrary to his statement, the lad wailed sadly. "I'm- I'm not very brave..."
"Oh, you are the bravest!" Louis sniffled, smiling softly. "You won't ever be weak for crying, Niall." He caressed his cheek, still smiling. "At least in front of us." Niall didn't reply, instead just cried like a baby, as he had promised. His arms dangled loosely around the young boy. "Let it all out, until you feel better."
"I don't, don't think I'll ever be better."
"Niall, don't, please?" Louis whispered sadly. "This is not the end. Maybe for this, it is." He gestured between them. "But I know, your future holds everything great for you."
"Oh, but you won't be there." Niall cried. "I- I don't want to come off as an idiot. But, but... I really.. pictured a future with you."
"Oh, my sweet, sweet, Lucky Charms.." Louis let out a watery chuckle, kissing him. "We still have three weeks."
"I wanted more than that."
"Harry is very sure we'll meet each other again in the future." Louis whispered jokingly, there was a hint of honesty and hope. "And if... if it ever turned out to be true, I swear, this will definitely have a future." He gestured between them with a loving smile. " 'Cause I'm certain people don't forget their first love."
Niall smiled the slightest bit, kissing Louis deeply. "I will never ever forget you."
"Is this a promise?"
"A promise, my dearest. I love you."
"I love you, too."
-
"You look so good while cooking,"
Niall clicked his tongue lightly, peeking through the corner of his eyes to take a quick look at his boyfriend, who had his back leaned against the counter, supporting his torso with his elbows propped on the counter. Louis was looking right back at him with a teasing smile and it flustered him. "Look away."
"Why? I want to look at you. You are looking—
"I know what you are doing. It won't work, okay?" Niall mumbled as he prepared the alfredo sauce. "Stop learning things from Harry."
"Things? Harry and I love you." Louis shuffled closer to Niall, flirtatiously grazing his arm with his fingers. He stifled a laugh when Niall's cheeks evidently reddened and he jerked back ever so slightly.
"Louis!" Niall scoffed, grumbling under his breath. "You go sit down. I'll bring you the food." He whined a little when Louis hugged him from behind, nuzzling his face in his back. "Lou..."
"I love you, Lucky Charms. You are so warm and smell so nice." Louis murmured softly, kissing his boyfriend's back. He giggled delightfully when Niall's back tensed. "You are so cute. Also, I'm better than Harry."
"That you are," Niall miffed. "He is shameless sometimes. Fucking ridicules me by spanking me in front of people!" He heard Louis laugh coyly against his back and blushed. "I hate both of you and Liam!"
"Why Li?"
"He always sides with Harry. Only Zayn loves me—
"I love you more than Zayn!" Louis cut him off quickly, squeezing Niall between his arms. "I love you more than anyone." With a pout, he snuggled closer to Niall and huffed. "I loved you first, okay?" He felt a warm hand resting on his' and sighed.
"I know." Niall gave his hand a soft squeeze before returning to toss the fettuccine in the sauce. "Likewise."
Louis smiled softly, "Would it be selfish of me to wish for me to be your only love forever?"
"I don't mind. So no." Niall let out a soft chuckle. "You don't even have to mention." He patted Louis' hands, silently asking him to move as he wanted to plate the pasta.
Louis stepped back a bit, leaning back against the table, watching Niall carefully. "I'm a loser like that, okay?" He muttered dejectedly. "I have you, so I don't want anyone to have you."
Niall looked over his shoulder, frowning a bit. "I'm yours. You don't worry." He tried to smile, turning around fully. He noticed Louis had his hands out for him and was quick to hold them. "What?"
"I sounded pretty selfish." Louis chuckled dryly. "But for now, you are mine."
"I am, yes." Niall gave him a meek smile, not understanding Louis' sudden change of behaviour. "It's okay, Lou. You sit down. Relax." His eyebrows shot up a bit when Louis hugged him tightly. "Everything's good, Louis?" He asked in a concerned tone, hugging the boy back.
"Everything's great. I'm with you."
-
"-said that he did better than you."
"Uncalled for, Louis!"
One evening, they were all gathered at Harry's workplace; the bakery. Niall was yet to come from his shift, Harry was already working and thankfully, Liam and Zayn were there with him. Louis was perched on Zayn's lap, showing him the photo of Liam's 'get well soon' card to him.
"What? Why?" Louis mumbled, giving Liam an innocent smile. "Was it uncalled for, Z?"
Zayn laughed lightly, burying his face in Louis' shoulder. He kicked Liam's shin lightly, still laughing. "You take that back, Liam."
Liam huffed loudly, gently backhanding Louis' upper arm. "I won't ever trust you with secrets. No gossip for you anymore."
"How rude!" Louis scoffed. "I am being punished for being truthful."
"That's weird." Louis' head shot up when he heard Niall's voice, grinning madly. "Lucky Charms!"
Niall chuckled softly, gave him a soft head pat before taking a seat. He looked back at Harry and waved at him with a smile. "He isn't going off on Trevor. That's new."
"Oh no, don't worry. They just had a little fight over who'll serve the next table. Everything is normal." Liam chuckled.
Soon, Harry also joined them, signaling Louis to sit on his lap. "I think Trevor's planning his own funeral." He was quick to snuggle with Louis who had complied with his wish. "You'll help me, right?" He muttered to Louis, kissing his cheek. "To murder him."
"Harry, stop overreacting, mate—
"Not your mate, Ni." He pouted at the lad, biting his bottom lip to stop himself from laughing when Niall looked disgusted. "Give me some cute pet name, okay? I'm your boyfriend. Your lover."
"I give up!" Niall scoffed, standing up with a huff. "I'm hungry. I'll order our regular meal for us." With that, he left to order their snacks, not before stepping on Harry's foot.
"Why do you tease him?" Zayn shook his head, chuckling softly. "Because it's fun." Liam answered for Harry. "Niall hardly puts up a fight against his friends. It's just the opposite for others though."
"Not a good reason to annoy my Lucky Charms." Louis pouted.
"Excuse me? You are one of them." Zayn rolled his eyes, chuckling lightly. "One of these days, Niall's gonna lose his temper."
"I don't believe that. Niall's the calmest and patient among us." Harry looked over his shoulder to check if his best mate was talking to his rival. Much to his dismay, Niall was talking to Trevor. "I hate this. Niall is my best friend. He cannot talk to him. This is against the rules of friendship."
"Shut up, you looney!" Louis snorted, a bit irked by Harry's possessive behaviour. "He is his own person. Trevor might be your rival, but he's Niall's friend."
"Mine too." Liam butted in.
"Y'all are fucking dicks. Absolute bullies to my angelic presence." Harry was feeling betrayed.
"No comments. Literally no comments." Zayn chortled, giving Harry an incredulous look. Angelic presence. Laughable.
Louis was stifling his laugh, greatly ridiculed by Harry's hilarious claims. He wasn't the only one, both Zayn and Liam looked like they were trying not to laugh. Thankfully, Niall came back with his order, with Trevor trailing behind him with their orders.
"Where's mine?" Harry questioned as Trevor placed their orders on the table.
"You work here, British boy. Remember?" Trevor scoffed loudly before turning on his heels and leaving.
"Oh, yes..." the green eyed bloke mumbled. "I am grateful to you guys for dropping by after the rush hours. Otherwise, Oliver would've had my head for slacking off."
"Eh," Louis kissed his cheek, snuggling back in his chest. "I have just one thing to say to you lads." It caught everyone's attention. "Thank you," he mumbled with a smile. "The thing is we have to break up."
"What!" Harry gasped loudly, circling his arms around him tightly. "Not gonna happen!"
"Harry... I'm leaving." Louis mumbled sadly. "Don't expect a long distance from me. That's not me." He obviated himself from crying, moving his eyes to his snack so that he doesn't have to face them. "It is hard, I know. I'm not asking, uh, asking y'all to break up at this same moment... but someday we have to."
"No.. no.." Harry choked out, burying his face in Louis' neck as tears started to form in his eyes. "I fucking love you!"
"I love you too, H. So much." Louis looked at Niall for some help, but the lad himself looked like he was going to get sick. "I— please try to understand." Harry was already weeping silently, hugging the life out of him. How is going to react the day he leaves? God, it agitated him.
"O... uh, Okay," It was Liam who stuttered out, smiling painfully. "Give me some time."
"Me as well." Zayn whispered, looking completely gloomy. Everybody has clearly lost their appetite and Louis felt horrible for doing that to them.
"I'm someone who needs hundred percent of your attention and affection in person. Long distance isn't— will never be my thing." Louis uttered out with great difficulty. With each Harry's broken sobs, his heart broke further into pieces. "I, uh, I don't want any ties holding us— us back. Let me... me be honest..." he stuttered out. "I don't wanna be just friends, I would, um, would always wanna be more. So, I'm sorry." A little cry left his lips as he turned in Harry's lap and hugged him back.
This was going to be difficult. How are they going to do this?
"Fuck it!" Niall croaked out, leaping forward to hug him and Harry as he himself broke down into tears. It didn't take the other two long to join the hug.
Time had passed and the farewell was approaching.

{A/n: I am losing my mind. Literally and figuratively. Louis-e is coming to its end, like so fucking soon. I am done writing the chapters. I have no fucking thing to do 'cause even Little Things is pre-written. I so fucking attached to this book. I'll cry. }
Q. Do you think Louis' idea of cutting all ties with lads is a good one?
WAS IT GOOD?
I hope you liked it x
