I'm tired.

[Ah! I forgot to mention. So, I'm publishing it again. Catty has posted her first ever book on this account. It's called "FOR YOU". Check it out and make my lovely friend happy :)

"You look so funny, Lou." Felicite giggled softly.

"Fiz, your brother is in extreme pain, love. Don't laugh." Jay scolded. She leaned down to kiss Louis' head. "You get yourself into trouble a lot." She turned to look at Niall and sighed. "What happened?"

Niall had called Jay and his mother to inform them about the incident, once they reached the hospital. Due to blood loss, Louis lost his consciousness for a while until the doctor treated and fixed his broken nose. The lad was still very much sad about the fiasco, but he wasn't going to tell his family about it. It might create another mess. "I ran into a door. Pretty badly."

Niall gave him an unimpressed look, but decided to keep quiet. "Clumsy, he is."

"How many times have I told you to be more careful and less hasty, Lou?" Jay scolded him. "Does it hurt a lot?"

"Yeah, when I speak."

"Then don't talk." Jay replied. "Thank you so much, Niall. Thank you for bringing him here."

"I love him." Niall answered with a smile.

"I'm very glad about that."

-

"Any progress?"

Louis looked up from his book and gave Niall a painful smile. "My nose and eyes are swollen a bit, there's a bit bruising under my eyes and I vomited twice. So, you figure it out."

"Well, you are talking." Niall hummed. "Is that a good sign?"

"Mhm... it still hurts." Louis chuckled, but then groaned in pain. "How was your day back at school?"

"Apart from sharing Chemistry with Amanda, it was fine." The Irish boy replied as he sat beside his boyfriend and pecked his cheek. "I'm sorry, love. It should've been me."

"I saved you from a broken nose, I feel pretty great about it." Louis retorted. "As for the lads, I feel horrible."

"They should be the one to feel horrible." Niall sneered. "No, Ni." Louis sighed deeply. He closed his book and kept it on the nightstand. "I think I deserved this. I did keep a lot of things from them. I guess I've been a bit partial towards you and— well, it does make me a liar." He muttered as he laid his head on Niall's shoulder, getting comfortable. "You've always been a great source of comfort."

"And you, mine." Niall, meticulously, caressed Louis' cheek. His heart throbbed with pain for Louis. He clearly didn't deserve the hit or any of the words. "But I completely disagree with you."

Louis sat up a bit straighter, to face Niall properly. "Why?"

"No matter how much anyone loves you, this is your life and only you can choose what you want to do with it. So what if you want to keep some things to yourself? Fuck others. Take your time." Niall grabbed both of Louis' hands and rubbed circles on the back with his thumbs. "Harry and Zayn were angry, that's absolutely reasonable. But what about the unnecessary personal attacks? See, love, I am definitely not trying to get you against them." He gave a warm, loving smile.

"However, the things Harry said were not correct. He said and did some really hurtful things, as you said. Are you going to let people tread on you so easily? Without fighting back?" He asked in a soft, concerned tone. "I've said this earlier and I'll say this again, if people can call you out on stuff, then you can too. Be it Harry, or me or anyone."

"I am not trying to draw Harry as a bad person—

"I know. I know you." Louis gave him a meek smile. "I don't want to talk about him, though. I've still not made peace with the fact Harry said those words." Not once in these two days, Harry had tried to contact him or apologize. "But I don't want you to fight with your friends. They did nothing to you."

"Well, they hurt you—

"Exactly. So, I should be cross with them. Not you." He kissed the corner of Niall's mouth, then his cheek. "They were right. What will you do when I leave? They are your friends."

"I still have Liam and the others." Niall scoffed.

Louis flicked his forehead, chuckling softly. "Nope. You won't jeopardize your friendship with Harry for a relationship that isn't going to last. And what about Zayn, huh? He was there for you when the others weren't."

"Louis—

"I won't take no for an answer. Okay? Go and fix your friendship with them. That's it." He said sternly. "Are you going to say no to me, Lucky Charms?"

With a whine, Niall placed his forehead on Louis' shoulder and squeezed his hand tightly. "You are so annoying."

-

"Uh, so, he is leaving?" Liam's eyes were wide with curiosity and confusion. He, Zayn and Harry were mindlessly sitting on the park bench.

"Not now. But yeah, someday." Zayn mumbled. He was feeling horrible. Whatever happened the other evening was horrible. It has been two days and he was itching to drop by Louis' place, to know if he was doing alright. No doubt, he was still angry that Louis didn't tell them such an important thing, but the boy did not deserve such derogatory terms and a broken nose.

"And Harry, you hit him?" Liam asked carefully. "That's- I don't know... a bit extreme."

Harry chose to keep quiet. He knew what he did and said were most definitely hurtful and disgusting. However, he just wanted to hurt Louis the way he had hurt him. He didn't want to hit him, he just came in between. Now, he was just too ashamed and scared to face Louis. He regretted every bit of it. Louis' crushed, heartbroken look and his bloody nose kept flashing in his mind. He wondered if Louis was doing okay or not? His heart was full of guilt and sorrow and no matter how much he wanted to apologize to the boy, he could not bring himself to go to him. Fuck. He really messed up again. He hurt Louis again. And Louis would most probably won't forgive him this time.

"Um, I think it, uh, it was something personal to Louis. You both overreacted big time." Liam spoke up again. "Especially you, Harry."

"You think I don't know?!" Harry spat out, feeling himself getting angry. He exhaled forcefully and slammed his fist on the bench. "Don't act smart, Liam!"

"I'm most definitely not afraid you, Harry." Liam shot back. "Learn to own your mistakes. You hit the poor lad."

"Not deliberately!"

"Just like you pushed Zayn in the lake. Not deliberately?" He mocked.

"I was fucking furious!"

"So, you'll hurt anyone if you are furious?" All of their heads snapped towards the source of voice. "I don't even want to look at you right now." Niall spat out. "However, I am here to apologize. So, I'm sorry."

"Uh, wh-what are you apologizing for?" Zayn blurted out.

"For keeping things from you. For hurting you. For lying and for being, apparently, Louis' favorite." He spat out the last part out of spite. He took a deep breath, ran his fingers through his hair and then sighed.

"How is he?" Harry whispered hesitantly.

"To be honest, you don't deserve to know or ask such questions." Niall shot back angrily. "So, I am choosing not to answer you."

"Look, I'm very remorseful about what I did and said—

"You indirectly called him a girl, threatened to hit him, called him disgusting names and implied he never deserved a home. All of the things that have always haunted Louis. So, don't give me that bullshit!" The irish lad sneered. "See, I don't want to talk about that evening. Just— I'm sorry."

"Is it okay if I go and meet him?" Liam asked curiously and Niall shrugged casually.

"I'm gonna go now." Niall mumbled dejectedly, turning around to leave. However, he was stopped by a hand on his shoulder which was quick to shrug it off.

"Please?" Harry stood in front of him, offering him a sad look. "Just tell me if we are fine."

"Honestly, no."

-

"Permission to laugh?"

"You are not funny, Liam." Louis scowled playfully, when the lad bursted out laughing as soon as he saw his face. Why'd he even ask for his permission?

"But you are." Liam chuckled. "I've never seen you look so pale and... poorly."

"Yeah, this is the first time my nose has broken." Louis joked half-heartedly. "Are you here only to make fun of me? If yes, then you can leave."

"I'm here to give you this." Liam handed him a little card with a sheepish smile. "I made it. It is probably even better than Zayn. Don't tell him."

Louis hummed. God, even rolling eyes hurt. There were two stick figures on the front page of the card; one tall and one short, holding hands. Liam had put a little cross in place of Louis' nose. "You are so annoying, Li." He chuckled before opening the card. It had just a little note; get well soon. "And how is your handwriting better than mine?"

"'Cause I suck at things a little less than you, Louis. Boo fucking hoo!"

Louis had to swallow his laughter, knowing it would only hurt his nose more. Instead of laughing, he gave Liam the bird. "If my nose wasn't hurting, I would have head butted you so hard."

"Yeah, try me. Once your nose gets healed." Liam scoffed. "On a serious note, are you good, Lou?"

"Yeah, it hurts a bit. But I guess, I'll live." Louis smiled. "I meant— About the evening." Liam mumbled, feeling awkward. "Either way, I'll live, Liam. It's nothing new." Louis sighed softly.

"Um, I'm sorry." Liam offered him a small smile. "It's sad that you have to leave. I didn't even get to know you properly."

"We still have time, Liam." Louis sighed. "I'm not going to leave out of the blue. I was anyway going to tell you guys. Zayn and Harry found it in the wrong way." He averted his eyes to his lap. "It sucks."

"Indeed." Liam mumbled. "Do you want me to talk to Zayn for you?"

"No." Louis smiled. "Thank you. But I'll do it myself. I don't want anyone to be a mediator." He gave Liam a friendly pat on his shoulder. "Thank you for coming and for the card. Although I can make it better, but okay."

Liam laughed at the comment, leaned forward to kiss Louis' cheek. "Take care. I'll see you later."

"Sweet."

Just a little announcement— I think I'm, most probably, going to leave wattpad after Louis-e is over. I think I'm done for now. If someday I woke up with a story idea, I will most definitely write and publish it, but for now, I am done. Thank you.

I hope you liked it x
