I took up my blade and held it steadfast towards the towering beast standing before me, its teeth bared and a deadly snarl rumbling deep within its throat. 

However, the bright light of the dragon's flames surrounded my entire being in an ignited flash, but all I could see before being consumed was the darkness of cinders engulfing my entire being.
