The four spider heroes gazed at the horrifying visage that was staring at them with cold, soulless eyes as it let out a ghoulish howl.

Phantom Spider: Sigh... wicked.

Wild Arachnid: Luce, I don't think now's the time for your spooky moments!

Omega Spider: Whatever this... is, we can't be intimidated by it's presence. We need to get pass this creature to get to Maria.

Crimson Spider: Well then, let's smash it! (Cracks her knuckles)

She runs at the creature with a solid strong punch but the creature caught the punch and grabs crimson spider to throw her across the halls and crashing into one of the hospital rooms.

Crimson Spider: Gah!

Wild Arachnid: Crimson!

The creature then turns to Omega Spider, Wild Arachnid and Phantom Spider with an eerie stare. Suddenly, a couple of Dark spikes sprout out of it's body and shot them at the three.

Wild Arachnid: Incoming!

The three spider heroes dodged it as the dark spikes pierced the walls, floor and ceiling. Phantom Spider noticed the spikes eating away at the walls, floor and ceiling like some kind of acid.

Phantom Spider: Guys... We must be careful, one hit from those spikes and we'll be seeing our own bones.

Omega Spider: Got it. Lana, you find Maria with your sense of smell. Myself, Lynn and Lucy will handle this monster.

Wild Arachnid: Okay, be careful you guys.

Wild Arachnid runs off while the other spider heroes handle this dreadful beast. Crimson Spider regains herself as she glares at the monster.

Crimson Spider: A tough one, huh? I like a challenge.

Crimson Spider lunged at the creature, whose eyes glowed a bit as it fights off Crimson Spider. The spider athlete was dealing out some martial arts style moves to the creature, who was taking the hits on impact as he begins to fight back. Omega Spider and Phantom Spider join in on the fight; all three spider heroes were taking shots at the creature, whose eyes glowed a bit as Phantom Spider noticed.

Phantom Spider: Guys. Get back!

Omega Spider: Ngh!

Crimson Spider: What?!

The creature shot out more dark spikes again as omega spider dodged them by leaping back, phantom spider uses her intangibility to evade the spikes, crimson spider got hit by the spikes while blocking them but it didn't eat away at her skin.

Crimson Spider: Ah, gotta love super tough skin.

The creature then got into fighting stance similar to Crimson Spider's.

Crimson Spider: Are you copying me?! It's on now!

Omega Spider: C'mon, let's hurry up and defeat this monster so we can catch up with Wild Arachnid to find Maria.

Phantom Spider: Sigh... Right. (In her mind) Something's not quite about this creature, it's... different from the others.

The three spider heroes clashed with the creature.

Wild Arachnid was in a different area of the hospital, ducking, dodging and countering more creatures and infected people as she searches for Maria with her enhanced senses.

Wild Arachnid: Ms. Santiago! Where are you?!

She kicks back an eagle/falcon creature, dodged an infected human elephant/swordfish monstrosity as it got its long sharp nose stuck in the walls, counters and punches out a boxing kangaroo/chimp mutant as she heads down the halls.

Wild Arachnid: Ms. Santiago! Maria! Her scent is near but where...?!

???: Aye... O-over... here....!

Wild Arachnid heard the source of the voice as she heads down the halls to one of the nearest hospital rooms on the left which was closed, she then rams the door open.

Wild Arachnid: Hey, I finally found you-oh crap...

She found Maria Santiago but she wasn't looking too good. The Santiago mother had dark tan skin, long black hair in a bun, had a beautiful figure and was wearing a light blue nurse uniform. But... the few things that wasn't okay about her is that she looked sick, skin sickly getting pale, a few scars and she's holding... her bandaged, bloody stub where her right arm should be.

Wild Arachnid: Oh man, what happened to you?! Are you okay?!

Maria: Huff... huff... I don't know, one moment I was helping a couple of patients when... some sort of epidemic happened. Ngh... doctors, nurses and patients were getting attacked & turned into these... creatures. One of them bit my... arm so... I had no choice...

Wild Arachnid: You cut your arm off...

Maria: Yes... I'm not proud of it but I couldn't allow myself... to get infected... Aye... (feeling lightheaded from losing too much blood)

Wild Arachnid: Here I'm going to help you out of this.

Wild Arachnid then picks up the injured Maria and heads out of the room.

The ghoulish creature sends omega spider flying out the window.

Omega Spider: Whoa!

He shot out webs from his wrists as he saved himself from falling out of the building and swings back in the hospital to hit a flying dropkick to the creature, sending it through a couple of walls. Soon, phantom spider appeared out of nowhere to hit a couple of spin kicks to the creature who countered them as it attempted to sink it's claws into her but phantom spider went intangible to avoid it as crimson spider came through and to web him down and hits some strong hits to the gut and face.

The creature then freed itself with it's sharp spikes grown out of its body as crimson spider barely dodged the spikes. The three siblings regrouped and got into fighting stance as the creature did the same.

Crimson Spider: Man, this thing is really tough.

Omega Spider: You're telling me.

Phantom Spider: Sigh... that's because this is no ordinary creature...

Crimson Spider: Huh?

Phantom Spider: Call it a hunch but it feels like the creature is learning from each time we strike it down as it fights back with a style similiar to ours.

Crimson Spider: So it's mocking us?!

Omega Spider: Of course... maybe it's trying to adapt from it's primal state or something like that.

Phantom Spider: Indeed.

The ghoulish creature was heading towards them as the three siblings kept up their guard to fight when the creature suddenly stopped in place.

Omega Spider: Hmmm?

Crimson Spider: Why did it stop?

Phantom Spider: ......

The monster started to sniff something out as he turned to the others with a dark glint in the eyes as it let out a ghoulish howl which sent the three siblings crashing into the walls due to the sheer force of the howl.

Groaning, Crimson, Phantom and Omega got up from the rubble to see that the creature was gone, only a shroud of dark smoke which was clearing.

Crimson Spider: It vanished....?

Phantom Spider: I don't sense it's presence, the creature's completely gone.

Omega Spider: Well we can't worry about that now. We need to go find Wild Arachnid and Maria-

Wild Arachnid: Guys!

The three spider heroes turn around to see Wild Arachnid running towards them, carrying an unconscious Maria Santiago in her arms as Omega Spider's eyes widened in shock when he caught a glimpse at Maria's bandaged stub with some blood staining it as her right arm was gone.

Crimson Spider: Oh man...

Omega Spider: My god...

Wild Arachnid: Guys we need to get her to Lisa and fast, she's losing a lot of blood.

Omega Spider: Right. I'll take her off your hands, you and Lynn take the mutant lizard for Lisa to analyze.

Wild Arachnid nods and hands Maria over to Omega Spider while she and Crimson Spider lift up the unconscious lizard mutant over their shoulders as they followed Omega Spider and Phantom Spider out of the window to web sling away from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Halfway through the great lakes city, Ronnie Anne was driving through the broken city as she rams or evaded any mutant that she came across. Alpha Spider was also taking care of some airborne mutants that was aiming for her as she was trying to protect Ronnie Anne.

Then as they were heading down a U-turn, Alpha Spider and Ronnie Anne noticed something swinging towards them.

It was Omega Spider, Crimson Spider, Phantom Spider and Wild Arachnid.

The group saw them and landed at a nearby park as Alpha Spider followed them. Ronnie Anne took notice of them and drove over to the nearby park.

At the nearby park, Alpha Spider gasped at the sight of the condition Ronnie Anne's mother was in, especially with the loss of her right arm.

Alpha Spider: Oh no...

Omega Spider: I'm sorry...

Wild Arachnid: This lizard mutant we caught... bit her right arm so she had no choice...

Phantom Spider: To risk not being infected, she had to sacrifice her arm...

Alpha Spider: ......

Crimson Spider: We have to get her to Lisa before-

Sirens were heard as the police hummer drove in with the lights on the five spider heroes. Lightning flashed with rain drizzled harder as Ronnie Anne got out of the truck & ran towards them, wanting some answers but stopped shortly after noticing her mother in omega spider's arms.

Her eyes widened at the sight of her unconscious mother's injuries, especially the severed arm clothed in bandages with blood dripping from it. Ronnie Anne's expression slowly went from utter shock to complete anger, omega spider was about to explain what happened but Ronnie Anne silenced him when she pulls out her gun and aims it at him and the four siblings.

Ronnie Anne: (angry) What happened, what have you done?!

Omega Spider was trying to explain but nothing came out as he just froze under Ronnie Anne's rage filled glare, same with Alpha Spider, Crimson Spider, Wild Arachnid and Phantom Spider.

Ronnie Anne: I'm not going to ask you again! What happened to her?! Did you do this?! Answer me!

Again, no words as Omega Spider slowly sat the unconscious Maria Santiago down. Before Ronnie Anne could make a move, the five spider heroes turned around to web sling out of the park. Ronnie Anne yelled as she shot at them but they were already gone.

Ronnie Anne: (enraged) Come back here!! Huff... huff... COWARDS!!!!

Ronnie Anne stopped shooting as the policewoman fell to one knee as she was breathing heavily as she slowly turns to her mother laying on the ground. She then gets up to go pick up Maria, Ronnie Anne had a look of sadness and anger on her face as she fought back the tears that were threatening to come out.

She wanted to hunt those spider freaks down & hurt them badly for her mother's condition but she needed to get her home and get her some help. Ronnie Anne placed her mother in the back seat while she got in the driver's seat as she starts the police hummer and drove off before any mutants come, unaware that a figure in a trench coat was watching the whole thing.

???: Ronnie Anne Santiago... Heh, Very Interesting...

The lightning flashed as he walked away.

With Ronnie Anne, she didn't know what was happening with this mutation virus going on, her mother injured and her husband and three sisters nowhere to be seen but she knew one thing; If she runs into those spider freaks again... someone is going to pay... and pay... dearly...
