Lexi's POV

  It was Friday night, and I was at the Rollerama with Lynn. My dad drove me here because I still have a healthy relationship with him. Normally, I'd be feeling awesome, but... The things that Mom said to me... I just can't seem to get it off my chest. When Lynn and I were having some pizza, I was enjoying it, but I was still thinking about what Mom said to me. Lynn looked towards me and said, "Huh? Lexi, what's wrong?"

  "Well, my mom doesn't like us being together. She's against same-gender couples."

  "What?!" She slammed her fists on the table pretty hard and sounded really angry. To be honest, I felt a bit scared.
