Mrs. Wilson's POV

  I already thought there was something wrong with Lexi when I learned that she'd fallen in love with that Lynn girl, but now she was going on a full-fledged date with her?! I knew I had to put a stop to this, so I sat her down on the couch and said to her, "Lexi, I need to talk to you about your relationship with Lynn."

  "What about it?" she asked with a trace of sarcasm in her tone.

  "Well, there are gonna be quite a few downsides to it. For example, if you two got together, then you could never have any kids."

  "That's okay. I'm not really interested in having children anyway. Besides, even if she or I did want kids, we could always adopt."

  "Well... People would look at you funny."

  "Hey, people can love whomever they want! It's a free country! If I'm in love with another girl, there shouldn't be anything wrong with that!"

  Oh, so her girl love is giving some sass? Nobody talks back against their mother! "That's it! Go to your room now!"

  With that, she angrily stormed upstairs. Kids these days.

Lexi's POV

  This is exactly why I didn't want to tell Mom about my crush on Lynn. She's completely against same-gender couples. Well, I don't care what she says! There's nothing wrong with my love for Lynn!
