"You look beautiful"

El
I felt comfortable talking to him. It was so easy.
"You like jazz?" He asked.
I made a face.
"No, Hop loves it though." I said.
"Uh...El I hate to bring this up when your in such a good mood, but do you think you'll ever tell me what happened to your birth family?" I asked.
"I will, I promise I just need some time. Your the first person I've talked to in 2 years. I can't do it all at once."
"Ok, now can we forget i killed the mood and enjoy each other's company." He asked.
I giggled.
"I'd love that." I said.
"So, you like The Breakfast Club?" I asked.
"You kidding? I love it. But Max thinks it's a girls movie."
I said.
"It's definitely not, Johnathon likes it too."
"I never knew that."
"He was watching it last night with Nancy."
"With Nancy?!"
"Oh yeah apparently their dating." I said.
"Well that explains where she's been all the time."

Mike
"So what do you wanna do first?" El asked
"Well, we could go to Scoops Ahoy. It's an ice cream place, it's really good." I said.
"Ok, I'd love to."
I led Her to to the small blue and white store where a nautical tune was playing.
There was a blond haired freckled girl was at the counter. She grinned.
"Ah, Wheeler, I've been waiting for you, now I can do this"
"HEY DINGUS TWO OF YOUR CHILDREN IS HERE!"
She called.
Mike winced.
El snickered the covered it up with a cough.
Steve Harrington
Aka: The Mom
He had practically adopted Dustin and the rest of the party.
Steve walked out.
"Rob, do you have to say so loudly?" Steve asked.
"Absolutely!" Robin cackled.
Robin was his partner in crime. His bff since he was in 8th grade and she was in 7th.
She claimed to be a lesbian but I had a sneaking suspicion that she was bi. Because 'just friends' did not look at each other that way.
( I ship them, fight me)
"Mike, who's your girlfriend?" Steve asked.
I blushed.
"She's not my girlfriend, she's my good friend, El. El this is Steve and his..best friend and wing woman Robin."
El shook their hands.
"El doesn't talk much." I said.
Robin nodded.
"Do you know sign language?" Steve asked.
"Uh..no."
"Than how do you communicate?"
"We have a special way."
"I speak sign language." Robin said.
"Anyway what kind of ice cream do you want?"
"Cookie dough." Mike said.
El signed something to Robin.
" one cookie dough and one mint chip coming up." Robin grinned.
Steve pulled out his scooper and began to scoop the ice cream.
"On the house, but only because your on a date." Steve said. Winking at El.
"WE ARE NOT DATING!!!" I half yelled.
"Sure you aren't my strange child friend." Robin said.
They left.
"Sorry about them." I said.
"It's ok, their so nice." El said.
"Steve basically adopted Dustin and he realized we were a package deal so be sorta adopted all of the party."
"So if Steve is the mom is Robin the dad?"
She asked.
"Ooh, that's funny, but she's more like the wine aunt, it's so agonizing to watch them knowing their not together.
"They aren't?! I don't believe you."
"Yeah, she came out as a lesbian 4 years ago, but honestly I think she likes Steve, she is definitely bi."
I told her.
"So what do you wanna do, go shopping?" Mike asked.
Didn't girls like shopping?
"Ok.. you sure you wanna wait for me to try stuff on?" She asked.
"It'll be worth it." He said.
El blushed.
We went to JCPenny.
"El I promise. I'm ok with waiting and doing this." I said.
"Ok." She said.
I picked up a dress.
"Try on this?" I asked.
"Am I shopping for prom?"
"I've never seen you in anything but denim, flannel or knit sweaters, cut me some slack I'm trying."
El
I laughed and accepted the dress. It was a gorgeous dress. Full skirt that fell just above my waist. Black sash. No sleeves and a pretty shade of pink. ( dress below)

I went into the changing room and put it on.
I stepped out. Mike was sitting on the bench in front of the dressing room. He saw me.
"You look beautiful." He said.
I smiled.
I twirled, enjoying the way way the dress moved with me.
"YOU HAVE A TATTOO!!" Mike screamed.
I blushed.
"Not so loudly!"
People were casting us odd looks.
"Since when do you have a tattoo?" He asked.
" I got it when I was 14."
It was on my back. I had one on my wrist too. But I covered it with a bracelet.
"It's a butterfly."
I nodded.
"My sister has one like it." I said.
"It's pretty." He said.
"Thanks." I said.
"I'm gonna go change back into my cloths." I said.
Before I knew it, it was time to go home.
"Thanks for the great time, Mike." I said.
"You want me to walk you to the door?" He asked.
"No, Hopper is a little wary of boys."
"Ok."
I made a decision.
I leaned forward and kissed his cheek.
His face went red.
"Goodbye Mike."
