Pyjamas Panic

Charlotte's POV

Today I had no work, today I was going to sleep for as much as the day as I could and then for the rest of it I would watch TV and just have a PJ day. Most days I had work, or I had to be someone else for work, whereas today I was just me, and I could relax.

Well that's what I thought before I heard a voice in my room.

"Hello," A female American voice spoke.

I froze in my bed. I know that I could get plastered, but I never thought I could get that drunk to bring home an American woman.

"Hello, I know you are there I can see you," the voice stated, "I'm sorry that sounded creepy, well this is kind of creepy. I'm sorry I had to do this, but I really need your help."

I sat up slightly in my bed to look over towards the voice. On my laptop screen was a blond woman, smiling softly.

Never had I seen her before, and I had no idea why she was on my laptop screen, I swore that I turned it off before I went to bed.

"Who are you?" I groaned.

"Sorry. I'm Penelope Garcia. You weren't answering your phone so this was my next idea. You are Charlotte Carter right?" she smiled.

I sat up, swinging my legs out of bed rubbing my eyes. I pulled my glasses on going over to my desk, sitting down in front of my laptop.

"Yeah I'm Charlotte, how are you on my computer?" I frowned, still groggy.

"I'm good with computers. But anyway I need your help Charlotte, I would ask you if I didn't have to, and I certainly wouldn't have hacked into your laptop if this wasn't important."

"Why me? What can I do to help?" I questioned.

"You are the only person I can think of that he'll listen to, he won't talk to anyone, and you're the only person I can think of that hasn't tried speaking with him yet," she said sounding genuinely concerned as her pace of speaking sped up.

I sighed rubbing my eyes. I had experienced many weird things in my life, I had almost been killed on numerous occasions, but this is the weirdest thing I had ever seen. A strange woman was on my computer screen, looking worried and was begging for my help. It was the first time I had experienced this and at least it was a unique way to wake up.

"Calm down. Who needs my help? Why would you think I am going to be able to get this person to talk? By your accent I presume we are on different continents," I frowned, desperately wanting to crawl back into bed.

"Spencer Reid. Everyone here in Virginia that know him have tried to talk to him, I took a shot into looking into his phone records and he phoned you a few times. He never phones anyone other than the team and his Mother," she explained.

Your ears pricked up, the sleepiness washing away quickly as you were worried and wanted to know what could possibly be wrong with Spencer.

"Spence? What is wrong with him? Is he okay? What happened? How do you know him?" I frantically asked.

"I work with him at the BAU. His girlfriend, or I don't really know if they were officially together, Maeve she was killed in front of him. He hasn't left his apartment in two weeks, and no one can get through to him. I'm worried about him we all are, I just thought I'd take a punt at you being able to get through to him. I just want to know he is okay," Penelope explained looking rather scared.

My thoughts went a mile a minute as I prepared what I was going to do.

"Okay... let me think," I frowned trying to make some coherency from my erratic thoughts, "I'll get to the airport now and I will get the next flight to Virginia and make my way straight to his flat to see if he is okay. Don't worry Penelope, I'll get him to talk to me. I can't believe Maeve's dead he must be so distraught. I'll do my best."

I stood up from my desk grabbing my handbag throwing a few essentials into it.

"Thank you Charlotte, please contact me when you get to the States, and if you get him to talk," she smiled softly.

"Sure, what's your number?"

"It's already in your phone. Good luck Charlotte," she sighed.

I didn't bother questioning it so I just nodded closing my laptop, sliding on my shoes and grabbing my car keys.

Running from my flat I slid into my car and drove to the airport. When I got there I booked the last ticket on the next flight to Virginia. The whole way through the airport people stared at me as if I had two heads. I didn't really think much about it though, I didn't know why they were staring at me but my priority was to get to Spencer before he did anything stupid.

He was a very smart man, but he had never had a girlfriend before and it was clear he had never felt the same way about anyone in the way he felt about Maeve, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did something he would regret.

This was one of the things I hated. My two best friends, well my only friends lived in America, whilst I lived in England meaning if anything happened to either of them I couldn't be there instantly. Granted it had never occurred before, nothing major had happened that I couldn't be there for, so this was the first time I had to rush onto a plane and fly across the Atlantic.

After practically running to the correct terminal, I was allowed to take my seat on the plane, where I would have to spend hours completely useless to Spencer, and with absolutely nothing to do. The plane took off, and still people stared at me like I was mental.

As one of the stewardesses walked by I called her over.

"Are you alright Ma'am?" the woman asked with a concerned expression.

Usually I avoided contact with the stewards, the sickly sweet smiles and sarcastically bored tone made me want to rip out their jugulars, but I wanted to know what was so odd about me at the moment.

"Sorry, but may I ask why everyone is staring at me, do I have something in my teeth?" I questioned.

She clearly tried not to laugh, "did you not realise you are currently in your pyjamas miss?"

My face paled as I slowly looked down to my pyjama glad body. I screwed my eyes shut and gritted my teeth. How could I be so stupid? I completely forgot to get dressed, as I was in such a panic to get to the airport I was surprised that I had even remembered my passport, yet I forgot my clothes. I guess it was lucky I didn't sleep in the buff, or life would be a lot worse currently.

I had tartan shorts with a Little Mermaid tank top on, and just to add to the mishap of my clothing faux pas, I had black heels on my feet as they were the shoes that were next to my desk when I was sorting out my stuff to leave my flat. Reaching a hand up I felt my brunette hair in knots and a tangled mess.

"Are you okay ma'am?" she repeated.

"Just peachy. By any chance do you sell hair brushes or trousers?" I frowned.

"No I'm sorry miss," she stated.

I huffed, thanking her anyway even though she was of no real assistance to me. There was nothing I could do about my pyjamas, so I had to just survive and made a complete prat of myself when I got to Virginia and attempt to borrow some of Spencer's clothes when I got to his flat.

Author's Note-

Macey_Lynn made the amazing picspam.

I hope you liked this chapter, you have only been introduced to Lottie (Charlotte) so far, and I will say it will be based more on her and probably all in her perspective but Lindy will be in the story soon, she will probably be mentioned in the next chapter, but will be introduced in a few more parts. Also it will be a bit more Criminal Minds based first of all but will have Avengers in it a lot more in a few more chapters.

Thank you.

Charlotte.
